Three SECRETS to Unlock Your Finances

A pastor explains three biblical financial principles: surrendering your money to Jesus through balanced budgeting, tithing 10% to your church's storehouse for God's multiplication, and giving another 10-20% sacrificially to those in need. He claims tithing can return 30 times your investment.

Are you broke? Are you struggling to pay your bills? And are you continually having problems getting money from paycheck to paycheck to be able just to afford a living? So today's video, I want to cover 3 major aspects that will allow you to be able to overcome the problems that are facing you from a financial perspective and set you free. Not only set your finances free, But also set your mind at ease and allow you to live a life that God has wanted for you from day one. Number one, the most important aspect to understand about finances is who is the stream of finances? That is Jesus Christ. I know this is a difficult thing for some people to understand, but you have to yield your income. You have to yield your expenses over to the Lord. That's the only way you're going to be able to move forward in confidence knowing that he is able to manage your money better than you are able to yourself. This is an important thing because if you don't have any form of budgets, if you're not going through and managing what you're spending and how you're spending, if you have subscriptions that you don't use, you're spending too much money on food, maybe even utilities or even car payments, you have to understand that God has got to get you into a place where you're focused on the things that he wants you to focus on and not the things that you want, because he already knows your needs. He already knows your wants. He already knows the things that are in front of you and the provision that he's provided you, and he wants you to operate in balance. And so you must connect yourself to the stream, which is Jesus Christ, in order for you to understand how can you go forward and step into seasons of success financially. It's difficult if you're doing that if you're overspending. On the flip side, if you're not even spending at all and you're an oversaver, which I'm sure there are some of us that are out there that are like that, then you have to understand that you have to put your money to work, and God will show you where to do that, because you can't be going about your day penny-pinching all the time, and you can't be going about your day impulse shopping too, because that's a difficult place to be. The second aspect that is so important is to know that when you are connected to Jesus Christ, there are some requirements that you have to operate under. And Malachi 3:10 talks about this. He says, bring the tithe into the storehouse and test me in this so that all the things that I can give will come out and overflowing to the point where you have nowhere to store it. He also says before that, that if you do not bring the tithe into the storehouse, you're actually robbing God. And this is a very important concept to understand, that the 90% in which you are stewarding versus the 10% that you're giving God is a small exchange, because God can take that 10% that you're giving back to him and to your local church and bless it abundantly. Because now you fall into the Matthew 13:23 blessing where It says when you start to sow, you're gonna return 30, 60, and 100%, 100 times what you've sown. Now think about this. If you're an investment in any form of investment, whether you put your money in CDs, bonds, stocks, cryptocurrencies, you own businesses, if someone came up to you and said, hey, I'm gonna give you a 30x return on your investment, you would be like, yeah, I would. You would do it every single day 'cause there isn't anything out there that isn't even remotely close to that. In fact, if you were getting 15 to 20% most of the time, you'd be doing Exceptionally well across the board. Obviously, people do better and some do worse, but the investment in God's kingdom returns bountifully. So imagine this. So let's just take some round numbers. Let's say you make $100,000 a year and you decide that I'm going to donate my tithe to my church and it's $10,000 a year. Well, God will turn around that $10,000 a year, and even if you just get the 30-fold yield, you're going to get a return of $300,000 in different forms of finances, favor, business opportunities, presents, gifts, all kinds of stuff. So think about this. You're making $100,000 a year, you're keeping $90,000, and God's giving you back $300,000. It's the best investment you could ever make. This is what God wants you to do, is he wants you to trust in him, because when you invest in God, God can multiply what you give him in bountiful ways. And then the last thing that really will unlock the whole aspect of what it is, which is number 3, is you do have to be a giver, and you do have to be a position where you can operate in those places where people talk about, hey, I need something. Because it actually is scriptural that when a person comes up to you and asks you for some money, you are obligated by the Lord to give them your cloak. They're all— you're obligated to walk that extra mile. You're obligated to help them in every way that they can, whether that's money, food, clothing, shelter, or otherwise. Now, that doesn't necessarily mean that they have to move in with you, but if you have the, uh, the wherewithal to be able to help pay for their bills and actually give them a house or even pay for their rent, that's where God is, because God loves a cheerful giver. And when you're in the aspect of giving, what you're doing is you're saying, God, money is a tool for me to operate in a kingdom wealth aspect. And now I can take this tool that you've given me, AKA money, and apply it to all the principles that you want me to apply and to be able to do the things that you want me to do and to be able to see the things that you want me to see. Because if you don't, What you're doing is, is you're saying that money is more important to the people that are around you. Money is more important than the churches and the ministries that could use it. Money is more important than the things that God wants you to operate in. And this is what's called sacrificial giving, because you have to give your 10% to your local church, and then sacrificial giving is what's added on top of that. And God will guide you in those moments if it's a one-time donation, a single donation, or something that will be ongoing, because he will help you open those doors and guide people to you and put you in a position where you can help them and help them bountifully. Because that's how the kingdom of God works, is God— what he does is he's a multiplier. So what he'll do is someone will be in need and he'll give someone overflow. That person overflows into another person. But guess what? God then blesses your overflow again. So it's a multiplication. God doesn't stop because you give someone some money. No, God keeps going and multiplies that money back to you. He'll return that seed over and over again, either through the person you gave it to or through someone else. And so That's the essence of what God does. If you're able to steward your income, and if you're thinking about, well, what's the— what is a good percentage? I think if you can get to a point where you can manage your income and your expenses around 50%, so if you can have 50% of your costs, that what you live compared to what you make, then you can take 10% and give it to the church. You obviously— this is, you know, obviously you have the taxes piece that you have to pay for the government, and then you can sacrificially sow 10 to 20%, and then that extra can be used for vacations, investments, Just pure things that you want to build, because you still have Ecclesiastes 11:2 to take into account also. And so you now are able to move forward in abundance and in grace and in power and allow God to move in ways that he would otherwise not be able to because you have not put seed in the ground. And when you put seed in the ground, what happens is you attach yourself to the stream that waters it, and then you move from your position of of money dependence and you put it on God and you allow him to work and you watch him multiply, water, grow, fertilize all the things you've done, it will become a bountiful harvest. It will return to you, and then you can return it back to God's people, to other people, to your family, and it just continues to multiply. And over time, what you'll see is that harvest will grow and grow and grow and yield a bountiful thing that you have never seen before. And it's true, if you aren't even understanding this concept, but yet you tithe and sacrificially give, and just operate with these straightforward kingdom principles, you will see God's hand move mightily on your finances, on your debt, on your— if you have student loans, on that space, on your car payments, on your mortgage payments, your rental payments. It doesn't matter what you have. God will move and supernaturally gift you things that you never thought were possible and do it in a way that's just both amazing and graceful.
