Ep. 109: How Non-Profits Can Benefit From An OFS

A YouTube episode (Ep. 109) hosted by John Jonas featuring a testimonial from David Baker about hiring Filipino virtual assistants (OFS) through John’s VAOA program. David—pastor, county jail chaplain, operator of a men’s home, podcaster, author, and VP of an online Bible college—explains that OFS handle podcast editing/uploads, social media, and course platform work, enabling him to scale content production and manage programs more effectively.

How a non profit can benefit from ofs. What I do is so fulfilling. I mean, I get emails every day from employers around the world telling me this has changed my life. This is so good. Thank you so much for helping me to find the OFS that I have. They're working out so well. When I get a video from someone, it's so awesome. So here's what happened. A few weeks ago, I get this email from David Baker. Here's what he says. I do my podcast in the daytime. He edits it and uploads it in the day, his time, and it's ready to go in the morning. I want it posted. It works great. Thank you so much for your program and letting me find my Filipino va. I've been to the Philippines five to six times on mission trips and love the people and the culture. I just didn't know how to find what I needed. And your program was perfect. So this is what David says. David is a non profit ministry pastor. He's a chaplain at a local county jail. He runs a men's home to help people who get out of jail put their lives back together. He runs a podcast. On top of that, he's a prolific author and vice president of an online Bible college. David does all of this While he has 11 kids and a bunch of grandkids. And like, he's good at this stuff, right? As you can imagine, he's busy and he works nonstop and not. I mean, yes, he works to enrich his community, which is such a big deal. So most ministries have volunteers and to get everything done, volunteers very often just aren't enough, or it's hard to coordinate volunteers, or it's hard to get enough volunteer hours. Non profits need people to work too. So David, when he needed full time help, turned to the Philippines and hired OFS to help him. So this is really cool. He sends me this video of kind of how this is working for him and what it has, what it has done to change his life. And so I'm gonna, I'm gonna play his video on the podcast and you won't get to see him, but you'll get to. You'll get to hear it. It's insightful what he's doing.
I love John Jonas and his program to help find Filipino VA's to work with. Hi, my name is David Baker. I'm a pastor with 11 children, eight grandchildren. I'm also the chaplain at our county jail. We also run a men's home to help men when they get out of jail, to restore and put their lives back together. I published six books. I have three more in the pipeline that we're working on hoping to have published this year. I'm a vice president of an online Bible college. We have over 1500 students. We have helped 149 churches start their own Bible institute using our courses. I have got 10 of my courses there. I have got three other courses that are on a different platform that I use and be able to help. And guess what? I needed help. I could not do it all. I tried to hire people in the US but so much of what we did is nonprofit. It is ministry and so there is not lots of extra income to pay the US prices. I love the Philippines. I have been there six or seven times. I love the Filipino people. I love their culture, I love their spirit, their attitude, I love their food. And when I tried to hire my own Filipino VA from context that I had over there, it didn't work very well. Couldn't figure out how to get them paid. We had different financial institutions. And then when I asked them to do something that they didn't know how to do, they disappeared and I lost it. Couldn't find, didn't. Never heard from them again. Then I found John Jonas and found his programs. Like this is perfect. This is what I've been looking for. I knew I wanted to hire people from the Philippines, but I didn't know how do you find people with that skill set exactly for what I needed. So I went through his program, found out how to fix the disappearing Filipino and boy, loved it. It went great. I posted my job, got all kinds of applicants, interviewed and hired, started a podcast. My first one, it started once a week. Then it was so easy to work with him. I went to five days a week. That was so easy I went to a second podcast. So I have two different podcasts now that I run. All I do is turn it on, record it. He edits them, uploads them to all the different platforms on video and audio. What a bless that he is. So now I have VA just for social media to do that. And I'm getting ready to hire another VA just to do my Kajabi platform with all my programs and courses and things like that. I thank God for John Jonas, his program, the Filipino People. What he's put together is a great way to be able to find people. I love that if you have a business or ministry and you need help, people that are skilled, who know what they are doing, who are great to work with, who aren't going to charge you an arm and a leg, but reasonable prices to get help, please get John Jonas program. Sign up for that. You'll find some great people who can help you and do great things for your life, for your business, for your ministry, whatever you're doing. God bless you.
I really like that David lets his OFS work at night and they get the work done and it's ready for him in the morning. That's how I work with most of my team. I don't require them to work on any specific hours. I let them work and I focus on my business, which is what David does. He focuses on his ministry and recording his podcast on his time and then at night they do the work for him. It's one less thing he has to worry about. David used my one VAOA program to find this person and partly because he didn't know. He just didn't know what to do. He didn't know how to find the people. Even though he's been there. One VAOA.com helped him know exactly what to do, how to find the right people. I often talk about how having an OFS helps both the business owner and the person in the Philippines that you hire with what David's doing. It's also helping his community and I love that. So thank you David, for what you sent me. I hope you listening to this can go out and hire the right person. If you want to use one VAOA.com, great. It will help you find. It'll help you know what to do, how to find people, how to weed out the good from the bad, how to get the right person in the right place. And then over the last couple weeks I've been talking about VA's made easy, where I'll provide training that you can give to your new ofs that you don't have to create the training. I've already done it for you. So that's vasmadeeasy.com.
