Short YouTube vlog (Ep. 46) by John Jonas, posted December 24, 2021. He notes that Christmas Day is already occurring in the Philippines due to time-zone differences, advises employers to acknowledge employees' holiday (send greetings, express gratitude), and suggests clear expectations about days off and limited email checking for urgent issues. It's christmas day in the philippines. So if you're watching this when it comes out, today is December 24th. Although if you're seeing this in the morning or in the afternoon, today is already Christmas Day in the Philippines. Since they're depending on where you are, you know, for me, they're 12 hours ahead of me, so it's already Christmas Day there. So what do you do today? Well, number one, recognize they're not going to work. Number two, it's probably a good time to send them an email and say, hey, Merry Christmas, happy Holidays, whatever you're going to tell them, chances are really high that they sell celebrate Christmas. And then it's also a good time to like, say thank you and to say how you're, how grateful you are and say, hey, I love the work that you do. Thank you so much. I'm so excited for that. We've had such a good year and I'm excited for 2022 and for the year coming up and how good this is going to be for us. So depending on your business needs, today's a good time to remind them of, like, what's going on for the next week? It's the 24th for you, it's the 25th for them. What's going on from the 26th to the 31st? Do you expect them to work for us? We tell them, hey, just a reminder, the next week is off for you. We don't expect you to work, but. But what I would like for you to do is to check your email so that if there's something urgent that comes up, if there's a big need, if there's a customer problem, if something that I need, please at least check your email so that we can solve the problem for people. That's it. Merry Christmas, Happy holidays. I'm off for the next week.
