How to hire a Real estate Virtual assistant. Hey, my name is John Jonas and today I'm talking about how to hire a real estate virtual assistant. If you haven't seen my other videos, I have other videos about should you hire virtual assistant for your real estate business? So today I'm going to talk about how you find a good virtual assistant for your real estate business. So the first step is to decide what exactly you're looking for. If you're a real estate agent, this isn't really difficult. You're looking for a real estate virtual assistant, someone who has experience in real estate. And the good news is in the Philippines they have the Realtor brand. Finding someone who is experienced with this should not be very difficult. If you're an investor, you're looking for someone with experience in real estate investing. And if you search on onlinejobs ph real estate investing, you're gonna get all kinds of really good profiles. So step number two is to go to onlinejobs ph and search for the skill that you're looking for. Real estate investing or maybe Realtor or real estate virtual assistant. And then when you search this, you're gonna look through the profiles just to get an idea of what skills are out there and how much people are making. So before you go further, you want to know about how much you should be paying an assistant. I'll just give you an idea. This is going to be somewhere between 400 and $1,000 a month for a full time virtual assistant. And yes, you can also hire part time. The next step, step number three is to post a job. So you're going to post a job at onlinejobs Ph. You're gonna write out your job description, your job title, you're gonna put in how much you're gonna pay people and you're gonna select your skills. Then you're going to post it and wait for people to apply to your job. So step number four is to interview the people who have applied to your job as you interview. The first step is not to go do a Skype interview with them. The first step is to send them an email asking them two or three or four questions and you're going to repeat that three, four, five, six times. The reason is because in the Philippines the first thing they want to do is not to do a Skype interview. Now they're willing to do that, they're willing to do the Skype interview, but usually you have to gain some of their trust for so in real estate I feel like the Skype interview is pretty important. But do it later in the process once you've gotten a bunch of answers from them via email. Now, this does a couple things. Number one, it makes your Skype interview more effective. Number two, it saves you tons of time and not scheduling and getting on interviews early in the process. So step number five is to narrow this down with a test. Now, what that test is, it may be do some research, do some market research for me. Or, or maybe it is how would you generate leads? I don't know what your test is, but you're going to give people a test. And now the goal with this test isn't necessarily to see who does this the best. The goal is to see how well do I like working with this person as they did this test. So you're going to have maybe 2, 3, 4, 10 people do this test. Now, if the test takes more than 30 minutes, you need to pay them for it so you can tell them up front, hey, I understand this is going to take you a while. I'm going to pay you this much for doing this test. So now that you've done the test, the next step would be to do the Skype interview. Now you can. Now you can get on the phone with them, you can schedule your interviews. You can do them. Step number six would be to negotiate terms. Now, often you already know who you want to hire. Now you're ready to negotiate terms, you're ready to negotiate salary, you're going to negotiate hours, they're going to work holidays, paid time off, all that stuff. You're going to negotiate that with them. Sometimes you're going to negotiate this with two or three people, and the negotiations might just tell you what, who you want to hire. Now, I'm not saying that you want to hire the least expensive person. That's not always the goal. Sometimes you'll find in negotiations, like they want to have all Filipino holidays off and US Holidays, they're willing to work that. You know that's not, that doesn't work for you, right? You're going to take us holidays off usually. So in negotiations, you'll usually find someone is doesn't work for you, but other people work really well. And now you've narrowed it down to the person you're ready to hire. Step number seven, hire the person. So this is very different than in the US where you have to go through HR and you have to have orientation, whatever. You can ask them, hey, when are you ready to start? And they'll usually say like, hey, I can start tomorrow. And all of a sudden you have a VA with stuff to do. My name is John Jonas.
