Why AI Can’t Fully Replace a Good VA

ChatGPT can generate drafts and handle bulk work, but John Jonas argues it can't finish end-to-end tasks without human oversight. Virtual assistants, especially Online Filipino Specialists, catch quality issues and maintain brand standards that AI misses on its own.

Welcome to the Secret Sauce of Outsourcing podcast that's dedicated to making you better working with OFS online Filipino specialists. This is episode 247. Can AI replace a VA? ChatGPT is everywhere. People keep asking me about it. Are you guys using it? Is this going to replace vas? It's all over the place. And so my answer is yes and no. Can it replace VAs? So, yes, in a sense that it can make a of, lot, lot of kind of busy work easier for a VA. If you need your VAs to write 10 articles every day, then, yeah, you can use ChatGPT to do that. But once your AI has generated those things, then you need your VA to go and check them and make sure they're relevant and correct and that they're not telling false information or whatever it is. They need to be uploaded, they need to be finished, they need to be linked, they need to have images. You have to finish the process. And AI can't do that. Those things for you, at least not yet. Right? So here's the thing. These are things that not all VAs can do. So if you want to make sure that content generated by AI is on brand and up to par with your standards, then you need someone who really knows your business. And a VA can't do that. If you want to make sure that your AI generated content is promoting your business and maximizes your exposure, well, a VA doesn't do that. If you want to make sure that after your content is promoted and people have seen it that that your audience gets interacted with regularly, consistently and well, well, a VA doesn't do that. But an online Filipino specialist can. An ofs. You don't want a va, you want an ofs or even better, an OFS who can help you understand the AI and who can use it better to your advantage. So will AI replace a va? Yeah, probably, but it won't replace an ofs, someone who's really, really talented and can can finish the work that AI will do. So we've been playing around with ChatGPT towards trying to improve our customer service. Like, can we feed it my content on our customer support content so that we provide better answers to people in a more timely manner and do those answers get straight to the point quicker with better support? We've also been messing with can we create actual content with it that is helpful and legitimate? And so far, no, we can't. But it's not that far away.
