Hey. Hi. My name is Michael. I am an online Filipino specialist working as a healthcare virtual assistant for a clinic in Houston, Texas. I want to show you what a day is like in my life, the life of an ofs, before my work, I usually feed my dogs. My work starts at 9pm to 6am It's 9pm right now. Manila, it's 8am Houston. I'm used to working night shifts because I worked in call centers for six years in the past. So after I logged in, I check the patient's list to see if what procedures are going to be done today. And after that I'm going to compute how much the patient is going to pay for their procedures. My employer specializes in sleep medicine, usually snoring and sleep apnea, but they also offer ears, nose, throat surgeries. We have four branches in total, two in West Houston and two in Kirby. My job title is an insurance verification specialist. So what I usually do is call insurance companies, Cigna, Aetna, Humana, Blue Cross, Blue Shield and Medicare to verify a patient's plan if they're gonna be covering the procedures. And after work around 6:30, I go out and buy bread. We are having our breakfast between 7am to 8am this is pancit Malabon. So this is one of my favorite pasta. So this is a kind of bread. Here in the Philippines it's made from rice flour and also cheese. Actually in Spanish it's kind of a swear word. It spells as P U T O. But here in the Philippines it's what we call this term. But it's really tasty. And after eating breakfast I go around and play with my son. That's until 9am how old is your son? He's actually eight days old. So he was supposed to be born April 2, but I had to move her scheduled C section by one day because I need to attend my best friend's wedding because I am the best man. After that we are taking our son to a bath. That's until 10am and after that I'm going to sleep between 10am to 3pm and after waking up, I'm having a light snack and go out and play basketball between 5pm to 7pm so basketball is the most popular sport in the Philippines and I've been playing it since I was in grade school. When I was in the call center, I used to use public transportation and ride motorcycle. But last year when I learned that my wife is pregnant, we decided to buy a second hand car. From the income that I'm having from the clinic, it's much comfortable for her when we are going to her OB Gyne. We are so happy for it. So we just finished the game. We had two games and we won both of them. So the losers are gonna treat the winners for a dinner. Working online has been such a blessing.
