Hey, everyone, this is Julie. Welcome back to another episode of Million Dollar Grit. Today I want to talk about the 14 leverage points that there are in a webina. Now, if you are kind of turned off by webinars, I don't blame you. They've gotten a bad rap. They've been around a while and they've had a lot of evolution from the days when they first kind of became a thing. I still do believe they are the highest leveraged activity you can do in online business today. If you're selling anything over three or four hundred dollars, and it would be hard to change my mind on that, I just see too much evidence of the clients and customers that really focus on this particular type of selling strategy on the Internet and the value and the revenue that it brings in. So one of the, I don't know if you'd call it a paradox around webinars is that they're extremely hard and extremely easy at the same time. And this can confuse people because you can actually build a webinar funnel fairly simply with the tools available now. And with AI around, it's even faster. And so, you know, what, maybe took six to eight weeks of work and a lot of expertise now can be done in one or two days. So actually putting a webinar funnel up on the Internet is not hard. The hard part is getting it to convert. And I think what happens is when people get these webinars up easily, they mistake the ease of getting it out the door and they translate that into, well, it should be easy to convert and it's not. And so then they give up and then they make statements like webinars are dead or webinars are not working anymore. And so that's kind of what I see out there on the interwebs. And I've been working on lots of webinars this spring. I, I've been working in them, working on them with private clients. In my mastermind, I've been working on them for Funnel Gorgeous specifically. And I also have been coaching and teaching inside of Launch Gorgeous, which is our twice a year coaching program over at Funnel Gorgeous. And so I've seen a lot of them and I've seen Ones that work. I've seen ones that don't work at first and then work. I've seen, you know, seven figure business owners really struggle to get a conversion and then see the conversion skyrocke. And so what I want to go through today is those 14 different leverage points where a webinar can be optimized or where the webinar could be falling down. Because once you see how many spots there are, it starts to make sense why webinars are hard. Okay, so the first set of leverage points are around the strategy and the offer. So really it's three things. The first is ideating the offer, which is what you're selling at the end of the webinar, making sure that that offer has a clear problem, has a clear big idea, has a clear solution, and has an irresistible set stack. So that's the first thing. The second thing is the name of the offer. And the name is really does a lot of heavy lifting of selling before you even explain it. So the name really can't be just thrown together. You have to think clearly about the name. And the third leverage point in the strategy and offer is the hook. And this is crafting that title or that angle that will stop the scroll on an ad or on social media and gets the right people to register. So those are the first three leverage points. Excuse me, offer ideation, offer naming, offer and the webinar hook. Then we move into the next category. The next category is webinar content and conversion. I have really three parts in a webinar presentation. You have the hook, you have the content and the pitch. We've just talked about the hook. So the fourth leverage point is your actual content. And believe it or not, the content is what, is what creates demand to buy, not the pitch. The hook is the reason to stay. The content is the reason to buy, and the pitch is the reason to take action today. The content and what to teach the is very, very difficult for experts because it has to be enough that it can shift belief and seed the idea that you are the solution. But it needs to be meaty enough that people don't feel like it's a bait and switch. And this is one of the most difficult parts of webinar content creation, because walking this line is kind of like threading a needle. The fifth leverage point where things can go right or really wrong is in the pitch. And this is where choreography matters and exactly how you reveal the offer. Reveal, reveal the pricing, talk about the timeline, decide whether they buy or apply what visual layout you use. When you're introducing the pieces of the offer, how well you do creating urgency or scarcity, there's a lot going on in leverage, 0.5. And so people can get completely stuck on point 5. And then point 6 is webinar proof. And this is your case studies, your testimonials, and how to actually place them strategically so it doesn't just look like you're smattering testimonials everywhere, but it's actually telling a story that people can get inside the head of your customers and be like, oh, maybe I could do that too. So I've discussed six points so far. Offer ideation, offer naming, the webinar hook, the webinar content, the webinar pitch, and the webinar proof. Okay, and now we go into the third category, which is webinar design and delivery. So number seven is webinar design. And I know that, you know, a lot of people say, oh, you know, ugly funnels can convert. I'm not talking about the funnel, I'm actually talking about the deck. The deck and how it looks is kind of like when you go to a restaurant and they plate the food. So if you have an amazing offer, but it is not plated well on the slides, it's not going to trigger the same kind of desire. Also, if you're selling anything that's like online or digital, people can't imagine that. So you have to create a visual replication of what that offer feels like, and that is in visuals, screenshots, graphics, icons, and style. So webinar design is really, really important. Number eight. This is the one that people underestimate. This is the one people don't think they need to work on because they think to themselves, if I've got a good offer, a good name, a good hook, good content, good pitch, good, good proof, and good webinar design, it's going to convert. Number eight is webinar presentation skills. This is actually how you perform, how you stay magnetic, how you manage energy in a live environment, how you activate emotion and buying behavior, how well you keep them engaged. This is the one that nobody likes because it seems like, what do you mean it didn't work because of how I presented? Like, I did everything you said. But this is the difference between the clients who are very sales oriented and can close 20, 30, 40% and the people who are closing 5, 6, 7%. It has to do with whether you're teaching or actually selling. And so number eight is the most underrated and probably one of the most important. Number nine, this is the one everyone focuses on, which is the tech, right? Making the tech work, making the timers work, the automations work. Honestly, this is the easiest one. Now if you're not tech savvy, you're gonna think it's the hardest one and you're gonna hyperfocus on this. But this is actually the easiest one. So I tell people, if you want to commit to building a webinar and you want to commit to making this work, just hire the tech out because you got enough stuff to worry about. And they're just like hyper fixated on the tech. And I'm like, this is literally not your problem. Trust me, this is not the problem. This is not the hard part. And they're like, it is the hard part. Like, no it's not. Numbers one through eight are the hard part. Okay, and so then we get to the last category and this is where a lot of optimization already happens. So if you go to like a strategist or a funnel builder and you say, hey, I want to make my webinar work, but better, they're going to look at these things first. And it's not bad to look at these things first because a lot of these things are what actually get people to the webinar. These are easier though to fix. Numbers 10 through 14 are actually easier to fix than numbers 1 through 8. Okay, so sorry, but it's just true. So number 10 is the registration page. So how we get curious copy, how we get clarity versus mystery, how we get 25 or higher on that opt in rate. Number 11 is the thank you page optimization. The thank you page does a lot of heavy lifting to get people to show up, Getting people to add it to their calendar, sign up for text messages, reminders, you know, connect with you on Instagram or social, all of those types of things. So that thank you page is really important because it helps get people ready to show up. Number 12 is the show up bonus. And this is sort of that carrot that we dangle to get people to come live. And it's supposed to be enticing, it's supposed to add value instead of cheapening the offer. But they, if they come and they stay, they get it for free. Number 13 is the replay strategy. So this is what happens after the webinar, how you get people back to the replay and get them to buy the offer within that certain time frame. And that's a lot of emails and sometimes texts. And then number 14, which is, you know, super important. It's the promotion strategy. So that means Are we doing ads? Are we doing social media content? Are we doing JVs? How are we actually getting people to that registration page? So those, it's actually, actually five. Five of those. Those are all around the actual promotion and selling before and after the webinar. And so when you think about these four categories, strategy and offer content and conversion, design and delivery, and funnel and promo. Honestly, I could probably put the webinar tech in funnel and promo and just stack that one. This is where most people focus. But numbers one through seven are the most important. Offer ideation, offer naming, webinar hook, webinar content, webinar pitch, webinar proof, and webinar design and webinar presentation skills. So as you can see, there's a lot of places where your webinar could be off, your offer could be off. And so if you do a webinar and it's not converting, don't lose hope, because these are, again, they are worth the energy and time. They are worth the effort. They are extremely high leverage. They can completely change the trajectory of your business. A webinar is what changed the trajectory of my business and many of my clients. So I would encourage you to give it another shot.
