A day in the life on a winter Homestead (MEGA VLOG)

The vlog follows Victor (Speaker A) and his family through a full winter day on their homestead. The morning begins with a motivational wake‑up and a discussion of the day’s agenda, followed by moving the chicken flock into a high‑tunnel to protect them from snow, using the birds to help build soil for next year’s garden beds. Victor shares his personal health journey, describing a decade of chronic Lyme disease and recent success with a one‑meal‑a‑day (OMAD) fasting regimen. The family tackles multiple equipment challenges: a malfunctioning track‑loader, a boiler/insulation issue, fuel shortages, and a frozen water line, while also preparing firewood and managing water resources. Mid‑day they cook a farm‑to‑table chicken hash using home‑grown sweet potatoes, peppers, and onions, demonstrating spatchcocking techniques and discussing the importance of eating what they grow. Throughout the day, family members (Josiah, Rebecca, Gideon, Jonah, and others) assist with chores, play games, and provide comic relief. Victor promotes an upcoming live “Abundance Plus” workshop (Jan 5) that teaches preparedness and self‑sufficiency, offering a free PDF to registrants. The vlog ends with birthday celebrations, final food prep, and plans for future projects. The narrative blends practical homestead instruction, personal health insights, family dynamics, and community outreach.

Happy day, y'all!
Happy day, y'all!
Henry, don't scream. Nope, nope, nope, nope. That makes you any girlfriends.
He just want attention.
This is perfect. It's a little cold for him. He doesn't want to go. It's a first because all the other kids wanted to go when they were little. It was hard when it was cold, but they wanted to go. When you don't want to go and it's cold, that's dang near impossible. Tree's slowly shriveling and dying. You never did start drawing. We got one up. How long y'all gonna sleep in, sleepies? It's 8:20. Happy Sunday seed day. How long will teenagers sleep if you let 'em? I asked Grog, I said, well, normally we eat chicken on Sunday nights, but we need to mix it up. I said, what's a— chicken— heavily chicken-based paleo meal. And one thing that came up was chicken hash, and sides for hash include peppers, onions, sweet potatoes, which we have grown all that. So that's tonight's Burn It Up Cooking Show. It's a cold day and it's a big day. We're putting the chickens to work building our gardens for 2025. It's actually two parts to be successful and growing your own food, right? You gotta grow what you eat, and then you need to eat what you grow. I get excited about a hash because it's a meal that is 99% from our farm. I mean, the salt and the spices aren't. I encourage fried potatoes in the morning because it's something from our farm. You could do squash pancakes. She's making them. That's the cook. She gets some say. Let them have their pancakes. It is sort of rare, and I think they burn out of potatoes, and we're about out of potatoes. So, but it does mean we didn't grow enough potatoes, doesn't it? That's what the chickens are going to help us with today. We're going to make them more happy. We're getting them in the high tunnel. They'll be sheltered from the rain and snow inside of there. It'll be warmer in the day. It'll be less windy. They'll be helping us build soil inside the high tunnel and get more garden beds ready. For those of you don't know, I've been dealing with chronic Lyme for 10 years. Manifests itself now in just soreness, joint pain, mostly pain in my feet. It's like if I'm on my feet 20 minutes, it feels like I've been standing for 10 hours type of thing. They're sneaking some of that hay. See that? I want to believe that the body has the power to heal itself. I don't think there's any greater way to test that than through fasting. And it seems my body loves a fast. I feel better after a fast. I did OMAD fast the last 2 weeks. OMAD is one meal a day. So much success. Uh, joints less, less, uh, creaky. Here, I don't want to get in there and break this up. They're going to bother me. They haven't had their, their own They're mad. They're mad every day. I know from experience you can get quite irritable that last hour before, before you eat. That's like giving them spinach when they know steak's coming. That's like giving them vegetables when they know a big juicy cheeseburger's coming. I mean, they'll eat it, but yeah, yeah, that's why they serve the salads first, guys. So actually eat them. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 chickens out. Hey, there's some chickens out. Okay, that's exactly maybe what I thought, yeah, how he would react. Okay, if you want to do something about it, you can. There's chickens out, Jonah. Oh my God, 10% or more of the flock, then I think maybe you have a problem. Maybe we have 60 birds. Just like there's some chickens out. Okay, I love it when people come here and they, they do come to us concerned. There's a chicken out and they want to be helpful. I'm like, I know. If you were to come here and tell me there's no chickens out, you don't see anything anywhere, then I'm concerned. Let's bring a big old pile of logs in here and a New crate of wood. Okay, these boys, they like to get— I'm sure you want to get the chores done and eat, right? Yeah, I'm trying to be sensitive, man. This kept us to heat. It doesn't even need to be loaded. Randolph messed around with this boiler. I don't know if he fixed it, now it's running efficiently like it's supposed to, or our insulation is so jamming in this new house we don't need to burn a lot of wood. We'll actually have the thermostat set to say 70, and then a day like yesterday it got to 76 in the house just from the fan wasn't blowing this in, it wasn't engaging it, just from the heat radiating. I think I just figured out y'all's groove, why you get upset at me in the morning. You want to hurry up and get the chores done and eat, and then you're okay, right? Guys, it's Sunday sea day. You want to shoot for a mega vlog? I'll try, I'll try. I think it's a good day to do it with that exciting project Pretty detailed project. Okay, we're coming for you chickens. Moving them to the high tunnel. Anyway, I OMAded for 2 weeks. One week was fantastic, and then the other one I plateaued. I got discouraged and I quit. What are you grinning about? That you think you could go 2 weeks without— with just one meal a day?
Maybe.
Somebody on X said you lack stick-to-itiveness. Duh. How's that helpful? Have you ever tried ride, uh, going 2 weeks with just eating 1 meal a day. Just saying. But also my good friends on X now, such a cool platform, having fun there. They encouraged me. They said, keep going, you can do it, start again. We're there for you. We'll be there. We'll be accountable for— accountable to you. Keep us informed on the journey. So thank you guys. We're gonna keep— we're gonna keep going. You can follow, have more immediate updates if if you follow me on X. Yep, let's do it. There's one area that needs hay bombing. How about we do this? We go take this to the— oh, we take this to the youth group and then we'll come back with 5 hay bales. Yeah, that 20 degrees, something freezes up. So we have enough water in there, certainly last to the afternoon until that thaws out and gets going again. We really need to move this youth group. We won't move them right now. All right, guess find a bare spot. Hey, are we really gonna put 5 hay bales in like this? You don't want to move the machine?
Bucket won't come off now.
Oh really, the locking mechanism again?
Something's going wrong.
The locking mechanism is screwed up again.
It didn't work last night.
Okay, well, we tried to fix it ourselves, fixed it for a little bit. This will see— no, you have to put it— connecting, connecting, it helps. Let's see if we see anything here. Fix it. Keep doing it.
Oh my gosh, it's working!
It might be that we need to get Mark and learn how— he'll know how to test that motor, I think. We always move the animals to their new— the non-milking animals to their new paddock, or feed them hay. All the non-milkers are a little distracted while we have the alfalfa out and while we're milking the other ones outside the The milker's outside the fence. They try not to lay this directly on poop, right? It's asking for a parasite, isn't it, Blaze? You've got a good life, you know that. I don't know too many horses get rotationally grazed. We're going to improve this area for grass this coming growing season by feeding hay on it and getting all this concentration of manure on it. You can stop like this in the winter because the grass isn't growing back. It's only when grass is growing and it starts to come back, and then you hit it again before it's mature, hurts it severely. One more cow tips: whatever flowing milk on tap. Well, join us. I got a live workshop in Abundance Plus, January 5th, 2 PM, first Sunday of the month. After the hurricane, I found out that living a life of abundance, which is what we're doing, growing most of our own food, means A life of preparedness. Hurricane came, milk on tap, eggs overflowing, meat in the freezers. I'm gonna help you guys do that. You don't want to milk— you don't want to miss this milk class. It's live. And if you're there, if you sign up and get in there by January 5th, we're sending all members a free PDF, uh, booklet on how to do it. It's kind of the show notes of what we're doing, but it turns into a little booklet that you can refer to from then on. But We're sending out an email January 5th at 2, so you got to sign up by then. It's on the App Store at Abundance Plus. If you are members, be sure you get the app. The app's a lot of fun, convenient. Or you can go to abundanceplus.com. Okay, I'm already milked. I'm already done milking. Let me show you guys something. I call this the creaky test. I'm done milking, been squatting. Okay, all right, a little squeaky, a little creaky, but doing better. So I'm not even sure, did I plateau? Because I've been feeling pretty good. Uh, like I said, my body likes a fast, you know, maybe just because the weight halted. For sure it's not the only indication, it's just that that first week I did it was so— you think it's going to keep doing that, but The reality is it doesn't. So I'm gonna stick to it despite my reputation to someone. Told Josiah, you know, uh, watch it, watch it. Putting them back in there is like pitching him towards the end of a Seaboys. Oh my gosh, come on, honey, let's go! No, this is not normal. Hey, hey, hey, this is dramatic. They're so bored. They're so bored in that pack and they're like, look at this, I could have all this and freedom. I don't care if it's got frost on it. It's like catching Josiah towards the end of a Whistling Diesel. So yep, you gotta go outside and do some chores. You gotta go, you gotta go to bed. Come on. No, you get in there. Go. What? She still had some alfalfa left. It's like taking this one away from a whistling diesel with 2 minutes left on it, sending him to bed. You'd be pretty upset about— you'd be pretty resistant too, wouldn't you? All right, you pull down below and you can go eat. I want to make you help me filter it. More milk. We're out of yogurt. This is our starter yogurt. I think big one I want to get to right now. I'm— oh man, it's the holidays. We got a little family Christmas party, just us tonight, watching a Christmas movie. Looking forward to that. Gonna kill some fudge or whatever sweet they make after Christmas and New Year's. This is going to be my dessert, and just plain homegrown, right? But we use this as a starter and it keeps it consistent. This is not an ad, it's been using this for years. Alexander Family Farms It's 100% grass-fed, so it says, and it's A2-A2 organic. I just wished it were raw. You can't buy raw yogurt, so we make raw yogurt. It's Sunday seed day. It's a day we have no meetings. First day of the week, get a jump start on things. It's a perfect day to do some yogurt, especially with it cold out there. We'll just let it warm up a little bit. Has the sun even hit where we're gonna be working? Ah, it has. That's why we put the high tunnel as close as we could That's why our old one was right there. You want it as close as you can towards that creek because the sun comes up off the mountain and you want your hot tub to get that heat fast. Just put that in 105 degrees, covered up with towels. Do that for 7 to 24 hours depending on how fermented you want it, how sour. I guess the Greek-ish style more yogurt is more at the 24 mark. I like it at about 10 or so since I eat it as dessert. I don't want it to be too sour. Hey, are you gonna want to help me on a project today? Which would be so fun and good. Or do you want to do your own project? That's also good. We're gonna set up a net in the chickens, move the pig part out of the way, set up a net outside the chicken run, set up all their— set up— what? He says I'll do mine. Come here, I got one you'll like. Or like working, or you'll like more than working with your old man. Since we have the bucket on the track loader, see how we park Salma right here? Every day and every way we're getting better. This is a little project we can do in one day. So you want to be able to unload wood right here, right? I was thinking we need to be able to unload log, you know, buckets of, or buckets of wood Well, we need to stop it from going in the side of the cistern. Should we do a pallet wall here? Can you get rocks from the trails in the bucket?
No, I'll get them on the trails.
They're off. Oh, with the mini axe? Yeah, they got their own ideas. They'll be excited about it. You got helpers? I have a helper. I'm gonna steal that helper. Get in, come on, let's get ready. Good boy.
You want to do it? Okay.
All right, let's set up for the chickens. Well, I got 2 helpers. Oh good, is that Meta? He's moving the, uh, he's moving the bucket. Bucket. You getting fuel? You gotta go around the drain field's right here, so we try not to drive over it. Okay, I'm gonna get you guys a rake. You guys can help me with this.
I think it's empty.
Okay, is our tank really empty? Oh my gosh, we're only at 42 clips. Normal vlogs, 80 to 120, 140 clips. Oh boy, we got fuel. So we have like a little under 88 gallons. I don't like to get low. That's fuel for our generator. Is it working now? The pipe might be frozen, huh? Bowser out. I'll come help you. Gideon, here's another one right here. You're fighting over the rake. Here you go. Come on, don't kick that. Don't kick that. Gideon, can you go level out that wood chips please while I go herd the cows in? This was on. They're really bored in this thing. Hey, what happened?
Oh wait, every time.
Oh wait, there was no water. No water. Okay, all right, that means the hydrant is left on. This is crazy. Either go get water and fill that one Or we can drag this one over— under. Should we do this first? Yeah, we should do this first before the animals are in here. I forgot to unplug the hydrant last night, but because the water was running— 100%, you can't have them in a board room without water. That just needed to be tightened up a little bit. See, I'll leave your legs right there. I'll stand a little wider. Come on, let's get in there. Come on, they're giving trouble. They're smart. Just remind myself about that for Gideon. Does he get water before everybody else?
I don't think he wants that much water.
Yeah, sheep don't drink a lot of water. If you're looking for a project this morning, how about a pallet wall next next to Salma so that we can dump wood in there at the wood stove and it won't fall over on our parking area for Salma. Okay, that sounds fun to you?
I guess that's okay.
Yeah, just— I had no interest. Here's another thing, you could go get us high octane fuel for the four-wheeler.
It's not working, it won't start.
It won't? No. Oh, the lights are on, the lights are on, bro. You owe me gas because I'm gonna give them some starter fluid too. Let's fix this ourselves. So let me ask you something though. If we had a pallet wall right here, how are you gonna dump? Could we be able to dump logs in here? Not really. We'll move Selma out of the way when we want to bring a load, and you'll just come dump a load of logs. You'll come in like this, dump a load of logs. All right, be dangerous. Come on, let's go rake mulch. Okay, putting in the gorilla cart.
Okay.
What are you gonna do? You're gonna move us around with that cart?
You can feel it, it's really hard.
I just realized we don't really— the chickens will help spread it. Uh, why are we doing this work? One, one thing is though, this pile is a little too far that way. We don't need that much material that way, so let's spread it a little better. They could be on these wood chips turning it into soil that we can use here. That could be the chickens. You think the cakes, if we put them in that, and then do you think they'd till through the winter? And big— them big pigs don't till like the little pigs because I think it's going to be too much. It's too much work for 60 chickens to till all that garden plus break this wood chips down. Did we just keep our chickens in here and let the pigs do the work out there.
Probably out there. The pigs don't think it takes a lot of chickens.
Yeah, let's put the chickens opening here then so they're gonna bring in more wood chips if we have to. And went this one. I don't want to do too much because I don't want to have a bunch of wood chips left over. 60 chickens will work up these wood chips pretty, pretty good. That doesn't work, we could then run a chute for the chickens to go outside, or we could just move the chickens outside. But they do like— they do love being in this high tunnel. And buddy, just the difference standing right here and out there, it's so much fun. Even with the sides down, it's just so much warmer right here. Let's go get our net again. Here, pick up our tools, clean up as we go. Just got word from Mark he can't come today to look at the track loader. You can come in the morning, which is not bad, but I would say he thought maybe a wire was pinched. That might be worth looking into. We might do something about that. He's over here thirsty, bumping this. I'm thinking that— yeah, that nipple is frozen. Let me show you guys something though. Experiment. Oh, is the chicken frozen too? Oh, chicken's water is gonna be frozen too. That's because this ain't plugged in. Okay, he's thirsty. The chickens are thirsty. When that trough heater is working, even the nipples, which I wasn't sure would, stay unfrozen. Let's give Beefcake a super temporary solution. You can't feed pigs out of troughs. Zero delayed gratification. There you go, Beefcake. There's just some water. Okay, good. He's making a liar out of me. Probably because he's really thirsty. About drank that whole thing. All right, let's go get him some more. I just drank 3 quarts of water. Like, what, a gallon and a half? No way. There's no way. Can't do it. I'm not gonna be able to get this in there. Did you get the nipples working? Yeah, on the chickens. Okay. All right, how'd you get it working? I did it.
It was working.
Oh, it was? Yeah. Let's pick this up a bit. Did y'all get the right stuff? I don't know. Let me see this. That's not a starter fluid. This does clean out lines, so this could help. Motor treatment, clean injectors, clean stabilized fuels, control mush. Maybe, maybe it'll help us.
This one's already broken.
Wish she would have gotten us some starter fluid. This might be a new point. We could just get it to idle for Hey, can we go finish this job? We got 15 minutes till lunch. We need to set up this chicken net. Hey, you put the sides down. Cool. You can't leave the side down down there or else this becomes a wind sock. Put this Premier One net up. Yeah, I'm filming the crap out of everything, it feels like. 86 clips. I gotta keep going. We're gonna have a mega vlog. Come on, G. Let's see if we can get this done before, uh, lunch. At some point I want to go check out this— what needs to be done on this chicken. Can I do any of it beforehand? I don't want a stressful— I don't want to wait till last minute. Family's eating. I'm gonna skip lunch, but it's a good time to check in with everybody, and I'll see if there's anything I can do on this. Uh, supper at a time. Like, can I go ahead and bake the chickens? Got the recipe from Grok, the AI feature on X. It's my new search mission. Like, goodbye, Mr. Google Pants. It was nice knowing you. I am making y'all a special dish tonight. It is chicken hash. How'd you guess?
I just saw a little bird told me.
Oh, okay. Going for skin off. Should I leave skin on? Um, your face though. The skin can get chewy. So cook it. That's fine. So should I take the skin off and fry them? You probably would like it better if it was been cooked. I'm gonna eat the skins, which is where all the fat's at, which is what I want to do if I'm gonna get satiated with chicken. I'm gonna spatchcock. That does a better overall bake. So for spatchcocking, I just like to cut down either side of the spine, removing the spine. Then just take it and break it. There you go. You're going to get a more even bake. You get more crispy skin. How about some smouts, which is chicken fat? Put the big one in here because that's probably going to be the most efficient. You check these, I'll be out setting up this chicken net. All right, let's go. To finish, bro. Mom, you got the chickens? You guys going to go see if you can help Big Daddy?
Yeah.
Am I like wanting to be distracted from that chicken chore? Maybe. We're going to get the pole set up, get the fence set up here in just a minute. What else will we need to do? We'll need to move the waters and the chicken coops in the morning. Is he here?
No, he's probably having lunch with his—
All right, you can come help me set up the chickens if you want. Should we just do this and then rest a little bit? Yes. What's happening? That happened. Was that on?
It was probably like this.
Did you turn that off? Pick it up.
Yes, I turned it off.
Who turned it off? I don't know. Well, it doesn't turn off by itself, does it? Okay, fill it up.
Let me test.
Yeah, water's coming out. I realized I didn't finish here. Hold on, we didn't get heat back to the chickens. Yes, we did. No, we got— here, see if that'll reach. Water filled up here. That's gonna be a skating rink tomorrow morning. Who can unclog it?
I can't.
Si's good at that type of stuff.
Is he? He's a hole digger. Hey, where'd that come from? That needs to be hung up underneath. We were smart enough to put these rocks in front of this so it won't clog up, but sometimes the rocks get clogged up, but it's easily fixed. Obviously a lot easier getting some gook out of rocks than getting gook out of pipe. Shoot. Did we not have a lot of fuel this morning? No, it's gone out of fuel. Oh no, it's gone out of fire. It doesn't like these big logs. I'm sorry. We gotta get splitting wood. Yeah, but how are we gonna get it? We, uh— oh, Mark said that— how are we gonna get it? We don't have the forklifts. I think because it's a gasification stove, it needs more air circulating. Perhaps we didn't have a great coal belt built. And this, you know, bringing a bucket load, that ain't even gonna We'd have to take 2 loads a day with the track loader. No, maybe 1. Hey, hey bud, it didn't work to burn the logs. Those logs were still sitting in there. And this ain't gonna work because we'd have to bring a load a day. We're gonna see if there's a pinch in this. So take this back and then bring it and grab some of the splitting stuff. That'll get our fire going. Until maybe we can get these interlocks working and get the forks on there. We can get the forks on there, we can carry them. Yeah, we're gonna be splitting wood. We were hoping we weren't gonna have to because makes it 4 times as longer to get our winter wood. Now we really need to get this bucket off so we can get the forklifts on. Any fuses blown? Maybe it could be pinched. Let's track it down. I got the bolts off the COVID but you can't get it off without the bucket off. I wonder if there's a manual— there's a manual override, but we'd have to still have to—
I think I see it.
What?
If you unscrew these and then it'll come out.
So I might take that while I Go set up the chicken net real quick. Call me when it's up and we search for a pinch together. This is too small— too big. Let's not forget our main project today. We're gonna have to count on others at some point. Specialists like Mark who can fix that 10 times as fast frees us up to get what we need to get done that only we can do, like setting up this poultry net. Here's how you make a corner where there is no corner. Premier 1 FiberTuff posts. And we have a problem. I was trying to do this with one net. This must not be 180— this must be a 100-foot net. That was turning early too. We didn't even go back as far as we could. We either make that net smaller, which I don't really want to do, it's less of a space for the chickens, or bigger, but it's got to be so big that I don't want to double it up, so I mean, we can overlap it some. From that, the boys have it uncovered. Found a pinch. No way. He sees a pinch.
I mean, not really.
Okay, what about a manual? If we left that off, can we manually disconnect? No, we can't touch it.
I'm pretty sure it was— that's how it was when it was open. So you just kind of need to push it in there. Well, like down there.
Let's see if we can get it to work with Out the—
also, this has gotten pinched somehow.
Cord is damaged?
No, not working.
Nothing. Try it now.
Why is it so random like that?
Keep trying it, see if it'll do it once or twice. All right, maybe that was just not connected well. Oh my gosh, are we fixing our own— are we saving ourselves $100? $100 bucks? I thought we had this this in the bag. It's probably why I kept putting it off. This is a shorter one. What is this little— what, what? It's not big enough. It doesn't do this corner very well. Wow, we could have plenty. Gotta tighten up these corners. We could have only one opening I left it down on that end so that we could get the machine in. We're gonna need some more— hey, we're gonna need some more wood chips. We're definitely going to need some more wood chips. We're running towards the kids' ends— end today. I end too. There's a few things we need to do though to have that net be completely ready. I'd like that to be ready because there's a bit of work to do when we move the chickens over. Tomorrow's a shorter day, so I'm going to streamline. I told Josiah 3:30 we'll play ping pong. I cook at 4. Our solar one Yeah, grounding rod. Yep. A new one? Not new. Or an old one? Okay. All right, let's be diligent and let's stop them from getting out underneath the garden stakes. Work good for that, like weed fabric staples. This side is gonna kill me. Big Daddy just texted and said he could use them at 3:15. I think it's more than a 15-minute job. I wonder if that'll take a solar charge through the Greenhouse plastic. You test that to see if it even works? Yep, it works. Okay, bad news— well, good news too. Big Daddy said he could use y'all at 3:15. So my thought was, you want me to quit right now? We'll go play some ping pong and then we'll go up to Big Daddy's. These staples will have to wait till tomorrow. This looks good though, right? We did this, Josiah. We did this. I look forward to getting the chickens in there tomorrow. Josiah, you have to remember. We have to remember to shut the chickens up tonight. Telling everybody I can so that somebody will remember. Remind me at 9 PM to shut up the chickens. Big Daddy can use our help at 3:15, so let's go play ping pong. We got our chickens cooked. Let's get those. Looks delicious. Look at you organizing our supplements. We have all sorts of space in here, babe. Wow, you beat Jonah, huh? Yeah. I cut it fixing things. Uh-oh, uh-oh. Whoa, where'd that come from? What are you guys doing, Big Daddy? Shoveling in. All right, got this hole packed. We even got the four-wheeler under the shed for today's episode of Burn It Up Cooking Show. Chicken hash. I don't think that's quite enough sweet potatoes. What are you making, Dar?
Frosting.
For what?
For, um, Austin's wife Ashley. Oh, it's her birthday today, so I'm making it.
And now to the freezer room for some ingredients. I've been trying to think of ways we can use this frozen shredded zucchini. We can add that. Peppers— I thought we had some frozen peppers. If we can't stall out the zucchini, we could drain off some of the liquid. It's so liquidy. This is the problem with homegrown. We, uh, it's got its organic certification stamp all over it. That'd never make the store cut, so we're gonna have to just cut it out. Breaking some fast with some Chicken skin. That's a good little appetizer.
Josiah, I'll play with you.
Happy birthday!
Thank you! Millie gave me a cake. She said we'll eat it with you guys though.
I mean, I would say we can't eat it all by ourselves, but we could.
But I'd rather.
What? No! Look, we're getting it now.
Thank you!
That's a nice birthday present.
Tonight? It's not like if you know, uh, well, since our vacation— yeah, I like 2 days before the cruise. I was going to be like, here's the cruise. I didn't read the shirt. Are you going to have another baby? I am.
You got to read the shirt. I think that might be good. We can add more. So frying the sweet potatoes. Rebecca, for some reason this one's going much faster. We don't want sweet potatoes to be mush, you have to cut down to the other side of that keel bone.
Mm-hmm.
Are these cooked?
Yeah.
Got a little crazy there, but I've added the chicken, part it. I don't know about y'all, but I'm pretty proud of myself. Little green, little zucchini. Very colorful meal. Hey, and I'm on time. Cows are out of Did you guys forget to put the fence back on? I've been too busy eating, killing this hash. What do you think? Is it— is it getting the rotation? Yeah, that's the question. Let's try it. Let me eat my sauerkraut first. You are a real follower. I like a certain—
I like to eat my sauerkraut first.
It gets the juices going. You're supposed to eat the ferments first, then the vegetables. She's gonna have a hard time with this one. There's actually no vegetables in this. Zucchinis and peppers are fruits. Onion's a vegetable. Sweet potato's a tuber. Are you gonna have it in the rotation? Guess what? I'm remembering to put the chickens up. Oh, it's starting to smell out here too. We're getting them out of here just in time. I got any more room in there? Okay, we'll probably— okay, shut them up. They got a little more room in there. I'm only gonna do one posse at a time. We'll do the ones up in the yard tomorrow. I just want to get somebody in there and going on it. We'll be in a rush in the morning to get them out so they're not cooped up.
Happy birthday! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday, dear Ashley! Happy birthday to you! You can often sing it.
