The video is a family vlog recorded on June 30, 2019 that follows a day of outdoor work and recreation on a rural property. The parents explain and demonstrate a multi‑step land‑management project: they use cows to clear a forested area, remove poison‑ivy, add a hay bale for supplemental feed, and describe the goal of converting the cleared space into a silvopasture (a combined pasture‑forest system) to increase food production without buying more land. After the work, the family heads to a neighbor’s lake where the boys kayak, fish, and the parents join in, with playful encouragement for the kids to jump in and wear goggles. Later they return home to test a new side‑burner grill; after troubleshooting a jammed propane valve they successfully grill steaks, seasoning them with butter, salt, and pepper while a family member makes blueberry tea. The meal is shared, with reactions from the children, grandparents, and the father. The evening ends with a quick clean‑up: string‑trimming, using a blower, and harvesting cucumbers from the garden, with a brief discussion about fermenting the produce. Throughout, the vlog captures casual family banter, instructions, and the sense of a productive, fun summer day.

Who's going?
I am.
Okay, I think the trick, Jonah, is to push him fast, okay? Because you don't want him to nosedive.
Okay, you ready? Go, Papa!
1, 2, 3! Come with Laura, come with me, come on, come on, come on. Good girl, this way. Come on, Laura, come on. Wow, they have cleared so much. But just to make sure they have enough to eat in here, I'm gonna give them a hay bale. They can supplement their feed with it if they want, just to get them through to tomorrow. Tomorrow, guys, you move into there. You've had the cows do some work ahead of you. I can smell pig in here, so it's getting to be time to move.
Papa, done enough and throw a bale. Throw something to him.
They have done quite a bit of work. They've gotten a lot of stuff off the ground. They've gotten a lot of poison ivy. They haven't gotten all the poison ivy. I mean, there's some there. I imagine that's not all you guys want to eat. They're wanting this hay. It's a little bit of a supplement for them. Yesterday we put the cows in here to begin clearing for the pigs. We're trying to clear this forest for a silvopasture, which is pasture slash forest. It's just more efficient. We're going to get more from the same amount of land, more food from this without having to buy more land. It's going to go from this to looking more like this. On Saturdays, we try to have some super fun times with the kids. Today is It's the neighbor's lake. The boys are going to go kayaking, fishing, and I think I dare say Mom and I are gonna even jump in. Hey, let's hold hands. Okay, and you're gonna use your goggles. You're gonna do your goggles. You don't want to do it? Okay, jump in with Mom.
What are you gonna try?
Try to get Laurel to jump in. She don't like to jump in, does she? She doesn't even like to swim. She just likes the waves. She's already drawn to something.
Look. Here she comes.
Oh look, she's swimming a little bit.
You want to jump?
You want to jump?
Come on, I'm going to jump in. Wait. I like the boulders.
The boys are now boating out there. Let's go, let's go to them. Good girl.
She wants you.
Good girl. She's gonna get on the bed. She's on the bed with us. Is that what you wanted? Is that what you wanted? Okay, sit behind me, honey. Gosh, I got killed up here.
Gosh.
Nor will I knock the camera out of my hand.
First dragon.
I couldn't see it, but here it is. It's so small.
How lucky was that?
What's the idea here?
To go off on the kayak.
Oh, we get some of that water out of there. No, do you not know how to get the water out?
Oh yeah, get the drain. That's one way. We're doing the drain.
Okay. You want to head home, do supper, and I'll load up the car?
Yeah.
Okay, come on boys. Can you guys not get them up? They're full of water. You want me to pull you with this? Yeah.
All right, ready?
Oh no, you shut the door on the strap. We got it. Okay boys, you got everything in? Shut it, get in. They said they had everything in. Hey, we're back now. Are you guys gonna have as much enthusiasm getting it all off and put away is on?
No.
At least they're honest. All right, I'm excited about this. Our old grill went kaput. We're gonna try out a new grill, um, for the first time. One reason we got this grill with side burners, we could cook squill out on the dock. You do it like this. Hold on, I'll start it. Huh, it started right up. Okay, something's wrong. It started right up the other day. Okay, that's closed. Oh, maybe it's—
maybe it's—
hmm. Oh, there we go. The propane wasn't on. It felt like it was all the way open because it wasn't moving, but that's because it was jammed. All right, ready? Yeah. Huh, I hear it.
Okay.
There it goes. You got it, you got it. Let go, it's burning. Oh yeah, bring the steaks. Do we have pinchers? Some— we— I thought we had 2 pinchers in this.
Did you look in there?
Did I get them all?
Oh, there's some.
Yeah, I would love to see those. Right here.
Yeah, turn it down.
How many?
Turn down the medium. Yeah, put them all on there. What do you got there? Looks like butter. Yeah, your grill started beautifully.
How come I tried it and it didn't work?
Well, the propane wasn't on.
Well, I tried to turn the propane on, I couldn't get it on.
It was jammed.
Why was it jammed?
Okay, you asked deep questions. Okay, I don't know the answers to—
once that sears on the outside and it's no longer raw on the outside, start basting roasting it.
Okay, what you doing?
Just putting some salt and pepper on this side. I put it on one side, I didn't put it on the other. That's pretty much all we put on it is salt and pepper and, uh, butter. I like to marinate it in butter. I should have thought about that earlier, but I didn't.
That's my 1-minute timer. We flip it every minute, cooks it more thoroughly. And evenly, no overheating. It's a pain, but it's worth it. Okay guys, it's done. Look, come on, let's go eat. Laura, I know you want some of that. Here you go, beauty. Grilled to perfection. Oh wow, you cooking blueberry tea?
I'm making some blueberry tea.
So good. What'd you think, Grandma?
Oh, it was delicious.
What'd you think, Big Daddy? Excellent. And you, you still craving steak these days?
Yeah, I was excited that we were having steak tonight.
Good. Mr. Brown ate all his. It was going pretty good, Rebecca, until we were there.
I know. Well, it was going good until I got there too. I know, I left it for you.
Evening chores. We're gonna try to clean this place up. 30 minutes or so. I was hoping to get to string trim, maybe string trimming there and around the raised beds, around the lawn and around the, uh, Arun's garden. I'll get on the steel trimmer. Jonah will use that one if we can get this out. Maybe I need my knife with some pliers. One blade at a time. Right there with a Leatherman.
It's working.
How's it look, Rebecca? Whoa, much better. We need to get our blower up here. Jenna, will you get our blower up here? That'll look smoking hot. You need me to get right in there? Yeah. Okay. Yeah. All right, that looks better, right guys? What do you have there, Josiah? I think we have yet another 2-pound cucumber, buddy.
It is a beautiful cucumber, I have to say. 1 pound.
6 ounces. Almost, Josiah.
So not even 1.5 pounds, but this is like, I don't think it's gonna be too weird. It like, it's really nice.
