In this video, Victor Justin Rhodes (referred to as Uncle Justin) outlines a four‑stage journey for anyone who wants to become self‑sufficient: a dream, a plan, learning through a guide, and finally a solution where the family shares a meal made from what they’ve produced. He cites the mentors and resources that shaped his 15‑year homesteading experience (Joel Salatin, Jeff Flauten, Permaculture Dude, Harvey Usteri, etc.) and positions himself as the missing guide many newcomers lack. To fill that gap he created the Do‑It‑Yourself Abundance membership, which offers over 100 concise videos covering permaculture, chickens, gardening, pigs, cows, and more, an online community of about 1,000 members who share successes and challenges, and twice‑monthly live Q&A webinars that give members direct access to him. He emphasizes a limited‑time New Year’s registration window—open for three days, closing at midnight on Wednesday—inviting viewers to join with a risk‑free, cancel‑anytime policy.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life, as my late father would say. So if you're on this channel, there's more— it's more than likely that you have a dream of some sort to do this. Maybe you want to get better at it, maybe you just want to do it, or maybe you're just here for the entertainment. I'm talking to you guys who want to do it, have a dream. Well, then comes a plan. I can help you with that. Uncle Justin can help with that. More on that in a minute. So that's stage 1: a dream, a plan. Stage 2 would be— what would stage 2 be? Learning. Finding a guide, really. No matter how you learn, whether it's books, video, uh, coaching, you have to have a guide. Some of my guides have been Joel Salatin, Jeff Flauten, Permaculture Dude, uh, Harvey Usteri's book Small-Scale Poultry Plot. A lot of folks have been my guys. Plenty of workshops over the years. I've done this for like 15 years, y'all. The third stage is the solution. Like, what happens for us? We've grown— gosh, how many freezers, fridges do we have, Donna? 10. We've grown pretty much all our own meat, supplement sometimes with some fish. Uh, we bought our turkeys this year. Next year, that's not going to be the case, at least for the turkeys. So the solution, the end of the tunnel, what you want to do is sit down together as a family and share a meal together. That's what you want to do, right, Jonah? Isn't that fun when you can sit down and look at the plate and tell the story of most, if not everything, that's on the plate? That's great. That's the solution. The key to get from the dream to the solution is the guide. I want to be that guide for you guys. I want to provide you actually what I didn't have. It was hard learning by the books. It was hard learning by the videos. You can do it, but there's always some gaps. There's always something missing. You just got to individualistic question. So I became that about 2 and a half-ish years ago. Has it been that long now? For my Do It Yourself Abundance members area, I've taken them in as an uncle. I can remember used to wishing, boy, I wish like Joel Salatin was my uncle and I could like text him or call him real quick. Just this real quick question, just like, hey, what's wrong with this milk? It's, it's, it's clogging up the filter, like one of my members did recently, and I was able to help them really quick. So I needed that, so I said I'm gonna give that. So I created this Do-It-Yourself Abundance member area. Mucho videos in there, like over 100 videos, direct to the point on what to do, all kinds of topics: permaculture, chickens, gardening, pigs, more cows, whatever. And then we created an online community. That's it too, guys. We felt like we were absolutely bats, like, are we crazy for growing our own food? None of our friends did, none of our family did. And so I created this online community where I think like over 1,000 people are in and So sorry, the wind got crazy right there. What I'm about to say is people are in there showing off their successes, going to others with their burdens, and just feeling a little less crazy for growing their own food. And the next aspect of what you get in this area is direct access to me. All right, every two— twice a month we get on a live webinar, question and answer. Guys, I encourage you to check that out. It's open now for 3 days only. It like closes Wednesday night at midnight, 11:59 PM. That's New Year's registration, and that's the only time you can get premium or annual memberships. Check those out. There's a tier for everyone. And you get in, you don't like it, there's no risk. You can cancel at any time. So go check it out while you can. New Year's registration ends midnight Wednesday.
