Family Reunited After Days Apart (Awkward)

The vlog captures a lively family reunion and fan celebration at Jess and Jeremiah’s farm during the season‑finale of their Abundance Plus show “Wildersteel.” After four days apart, the family gathers, greeting each other, hugging, and introducing a newly delivered female pig. The hosts tour the farm’s greenhouse, red barn, high tunnels, and discuss livestock (cornish cross chickens, a pig, and a future Mangalitsa breeding project). Various guests introduce themselves, sharing backgrounds such as a micro‑greens business from Nantucket, a Texas couple visiting, and local homesteaders. The conversation shifts to upcoming business ventures in downtown Batesburg, SC (B&L Gym and the Carolina Homestead Exchange). The vlog includes meta‑commentary about vlogging each other, playful banter about hugs, and a road‑trip segment featuring a Tesla on autopilot. The video concludes with a promotion for an intimate, limited‑ticket Abundance Plus fan event, a lifetime membership offer, and a reminder to watch upcoming episodes of Wildersteel.

It's been 4 days since this man has been with the rest of his family, and they're gonna be here any minute. It doesn't feel right, us being apart. It's just, it's just not us. We're gonna be so excited to see each other again. I cannot wait to squeeze little baby Henry, hug the other ones, of course. Any moment. We are at Jess and Jeremiah's for the season finale of their show Wilder Steel on Abundance Plus. We're having a big fan party. Folks are coming. You ready, Jonah? You ready to see our people? They're going to come in any minute. Their farm is looking absolutely amazing. Cornish Cross looking fat and happy. The greenhouse, the red barn, the high tunnels, and they're about to get one more pig. We're delivering them a female pig any minute. Look who just pulled up when you got a pig in here.
Yeah, your whole family came down and a pig.
This is the moment. I got my camera in hand. We're gonna see each other.
Hey, I should just ask you.
Hey, you remember me? Everybody's busy. Come here. You remember me? Yeah, they're being so shy. I don't know if we've ever been away from each other 4 days.
Who is it?
Hey, Henry!
Henry, you remember this? Look, right there! Who is that?
Who is that? You want to see him?
He's thrown off. Did he just wake up? I told Rebecca, I said it's her pig until the mess is cleaned up, then we'll take possession. I just didn't anticipate this. I just did not anticipate The mess. She had a good time. This is why we—
she was showing around.
That's why you have a truck.
So I have another old spot from Arkansas, so we'll just eventually— right now I'm breeding her to a Mangalitsa because we're working on like a mix.
But yeah, look who I've got. Oh, you squishy thing. What are you gonna do with this girl, Jeremiah? We're just gonna let her eat and grow for a while, and you're gonna breed breeder? Yeah, we'll breed her. She's gonna be a mama. Yep. Look at this, big brother, little brother. Do you miss him, Jonah?
Yeah.
He said yesterday, I miss Mama and Henry. What about the other ones? Not so much.
Not so much.
Hey, look at him walking.
He acts like he's never stopped.
He said— Jonah said his legs have grown. I believe they have. Look at that rascal growing up. Everybody's here and Jess is giving an official tour.
When we got here, this was mostly raw land. There were no utilities, there was no septic, there was, there was nothing really here except for old fences and some old barns.
They may have come to meet us, but now they go away with friends. I like it. Check out what they're serving for lunch. Chicken from their farm. All right, you got pork from the farm too, Jess?
It's actually— this is beef. That's not from our farm, it's all chicken.
Oh, okay, nice. What'd you cook up, you Cajun chef? Jambalaya chicken. Chicken was from the farm. What's y'all's name? Where are you from?
Whitney and David Taylor. We're from Austin, north of Austin, Texas.
Why now? We were inspired 3 years ago, uh, we had because of you and actually some of the stuff that you and Jess are doing and just inspiring people. What's your name? Where are you from?
Joanne Johnson, Nantucket, Massachusetts.
What you growing on that island?
On the island I grow vegetables. I have a microgreens business called Horta Cups. I have a vertical garden where I do hydroponics.
Are you growing any plants in pots, in seed trays that you don't actually have a plan for?
I can't say that I have plan where all my seeds are going.
I get seed catalogs and I order by the picture.
You know what that means?
That means I have—
that means no, that means you could be a crazy plant lady.
I am a crazy plant lady, there's no doubt at all.
I'm gonna vlog him vlogging. I'm gonna vlog Justin vlogging. We're vlogging each other vlogging. Am I in the vlog? Are you in the vlog? You're in the vlog. What's your name? I'm Jesse. And what are you from? I'm from Willowbrook Homestead. Okay, nice. How is it going?
Good.
Justin, how is it? Good.
Good.
Jonah, is it worth it?
Yes.
Test out. All right, I'm going back in for this side hug. Did you miss me, Beck? I did.
I did miss you.
You glad to have us back?
I am.
You're number one and you're number two?
I am, cuz now I don't have to do everything by myself.
What do you mean? You're going to have some help now. Yeah, you didn't miss me? I didn't. You didn't miss me for who I am? You didn't miss these good looks?
I did. And the good—
this charm and the laughs. Oh, the laughs. You came for the muscles and you stayed for the laughs. Front hugs, no side hugs. Front hugs. The reality was Henry was getting changed, there was a conversation going on, there were people all around, and my kids were shy and taken aback by the whole situation. And the reality is we all love each other, and really I think we just got back into it together. We, we put on our work pants together. We got on our duds and we're ready to go back out in it together. And that's truly our real place, our happy place.
So here's some of our very dear friends who are actually our business partners in the businesses that we are getting ready to open in downtown Batesburg, South Carolina. So while you're here visiting, you can go down there. Um, when you pull into Batesburg, it's on Fulmer Street. If you put B&L Gym in the GPS, if you want to go by and see building right next door. It's empty. It was a hardware store, and we have purchased this building as well as the buildings behind it that are going to be a store called the Carolina Homestead Exchange.
Have a good time?
I did, I did. It was fun.
How about Jess? It's a good party.
Thank you so much.
You're gonna sleep good tonight?
Yeah, I'm definitely gonna sleep good tonight. Okay, good.
All right, we're about to head back. You guys ready to ride the Tesla?
Yeah! I'm ready.
What are y'all watching?
Incredibles.
Incredibles. All right, all right, Beck, lead the way. See you, Jeremiah. Say goodbye. Next time we come, it'll be just exploding with growth knowing them. Oh look, our pig's coming out to see the cars. That's hilarious. Don't worry, I got it on autopilot. We are about to enter the most beautiful place in this country. It takes me leaving it to remember that. Goodness, I miss those mountains. I don't know if you saw that sign, but it said North Carolina. What, you didn't have any shoes? You gotta wear my shoes?
Yeah, they were— they were in here.
Gideon, really? Sorry. Oh no, give me that towel back there. Really? This ain't our car. White seats is a horrible idea. I guess they don't tend to have kids in this. We are on our little road home. You want to see the autopilot in action? Here it goes. I can't trust it. Here we go, here we go. I can't trust it.
Yeah, it's not doing such a great job.
Not turning fast enough for me. Hey Teddy, what's going on bud? You remember me? And then there's chickens out way up there. The chick shawls way down there. You're gonna have broccoli the next few days. Hey Winnie, you remember me? You guard the family nice. I heard bellowing because you're out of water, or did your calf get out? The calf's there, must be the water. The chickens were supposed to be here Friday. They didn't come Friday, so they're a day late. And then they sat on our porch all day today. Dozen, that's not too bad. We got our animals back in place. Turns out the chickens went back on theirselves. Uh, Polly just needed a little bit of hay. We quickly got things— oh, you know, and we lost a few chicks. Not many considering that event was amazing. And those events are very special. That's what sets, I think, Abundance Plus apart, is that the audience, the folks, you all can actually interact with the characters of the show, so to speak. And that's what we did today. It was a big celebration of Jess and Jeremiah's conclusion of Wildersteel. They were filming episode 9 and 10 this weekend. Episode 8 is dropping like this week, like soon, probably maybe by the time you're seeing this, if not very soon after. So I would encourage you guys to get in there and check that out at Abundance Plus. If you guys are interested in that coming to this event, this intimate, uh, like 100, uh, 100 tickets only, you can bring a friend, so I guess 200 tickets only. Many seats are already taken in the fall, but limited time event, first come first serve. Come and interact with us. You want to check that out at abundanceplus.com. I'll leave the link in the description. And right now we're running on this special, you can get a lifetime membership and come to this fall event. So I do encourage you to check that out. Good night.
