Finally Set up the 2 Heifers on their own 2 Acres

Victor Justin Rhodes moves two heifers, Harriet and Minty, onto a new two-acre paddock with improvised equipment and broken tractor parts. The family sets up electric net fencing, installs a waterer, and rebuilds hurricane damage while planning Thanksgiving with homemade pies, pecan desserts, and a focaccia pizza crust experiment.

This is one foot summer, one foot winter. All right.
Whoa, she's keen!
She is. No delay gratification. Knock the own feet out of your— now you lost all that skin milk. There's food on your poop. All right, well, get this pan out and let's put some feed in it. They lost a lot of feed right there. Frosty morning. We ran out of gas in Sally.
We're out of gas.
Are you serious?
I brought a chain.
What?
I'll hook that up to that, and hopefully that thing's thought about what it's done, and then we can pull it out.
Wait, we don't have any fuel in our— boy, we didn't learn nothing from Hurricane Helene, did we? Supposed to not even get half empty on our fuel supplies. All we got to do is get it out of the paddock.
It's already dead.
We couldn't pull Sally up with the other machine, so we unhooked it and pushed Sally around and pointed her downhill and just rolled down the hill there. That's our prized cow.
Look, I can get it to roll up here.
Open that gate again. Look, see, Blaze biting you. Geez, is that a horse bite?
Yes, literally looks like a bite.
That could be our prized cow. We're actually moving this guy out today. Hopefully it's a cow. This lady going down with Harriet into the acreage. Go ahead. Okay, don't be stupid. It's gonna roll. No, just get to the road. Calm, calm. Not bad. I think what happened is y'all push it with the machines.
That's from pulling it.
Okay, well, it shouldn't be from pulling it. The pool connection's right here. Poor Harriet is all by herself. That's not good for a— for a cow. They like to be together. And we're having to move this cage twice a day. Let's get her in the 2 acres with Minty. No, you want to get the mower?
Yeah.
Get in. Let's go get the nets and the Energizer. Hey, I like it. What'd you do?
I built a rock wall. So because it was like that before the hurricane came.
Nice. This kid's been putzing around on the farm yesterday just making it look nice. We didn't lose our soccer field, man. No, we didn't. We thought we did, but it was just buried in rocks. Oh my gosh, really? That looks like a wadded up ball of net. I think I'll keep them going. Come here, let me throw you some of that. This is better. Okay, one net, and I remember we have some over there. Still running, been 2 days. Look at all the movement on there. I mean, a deep, deep freeze would probably freeze up something in this system. There's probably some stagnant water somewhere. Shallow freezes, I think we're gonna be okay, which is mostly what we get here. I need to string trim for a fence. For a paddock. Probably go up to that tree right there and then cut over. This is brush saw material. This isn't string trim material. This is very thick brush or small trees. I think the boys have dismantled our brush saw though. I hate to do this, but I'm gonna have to go through there. Let's go around. We're starting to put up nets. Did you bring an Energizer? No, I got to go get one more net and Energizer. She won't go. Here, go ahead.
Come on, come on, girl.
There we go.
Come on, come on.
Go wide, go wide, go wide. You two get down there with Harry. You should be all right.
I'm on.
Cover. Come on.
What do you think about my Everflow waterer? Nice. Yeah, we'll see if it holds up to the— what'd you say, next week? 17?
Yeah.
It's kind of big. That helps. So how you feeling? Better. Getting there?
Yeah.
Okay, better get better. Thanksgiving is coming. It's your favorite holiday. Look at this rascal. Not only has she done Thanksgiving, which— where is all the Thanksgiving?
Um, it's in the fridge. You want to see it?
Sure.
Well, I got 2 pies in the oven. The 2 pies I'm making today, which is— this one's a chocolate pecan pie, and this is just a regular pecan.
Really? I didn't know they made chocolate. I didn't know you could make chocolate sometimes.
Well, I've seen it on her, on her website before.
Who's her?
Uh, Deliciously Organic. It has bourbon in it. I didn't add the bourbon because I don't have any bourbon.
Give me some extra.
Stop.
That's cornbread stuffing. Got the cornbread stuffing in here. My plan is to have everything so then tomorrow at lunch, this is my, um, mushroom, cream of mushroom soup that I made homemade from Ruth Ann Zimmerman's recipe.
Okay.
And then this is the sweet potato casserole. All right. And then the two turkeys are in there. And then tomorrow—
Yeah, what do you have to do tomorrow?
Tomorrow I'm gonna make the cranberry sauce because I like it warm, so I make it the last. The green bean casserole, I need to fry the onions for the top of it, put the casserole together, and bake it.
It's not too bad. Biscuits.
Um, biscuits are already made in the freezer. And sweet tea, I was gonna hopefully make that today.
We're gonna spice up that chicken. Are we gonna salt dry it? Does that need to happen tonight?
Yeah, it does need to happen tonight. Oh, apple pie.
Okay, apple—
it's always better made— the pie crust is made. Oh, and Lily's gonna make a chocolate pie. Dog, a chocolate silk pie. Then we need to make whipped cream to go on top of that. I did not make any me ice cream. So if we want to have ice cream with our apple pie—
and then she went and did this. Freddie's feeling good.
Unfortunately, my family has to eat dinner too.
Yes, you can make a pizza. So it's a new experiment.
It is a new experiment. It is, um, focaccia from the loopy whisk. I've been, I've been making it and we've been eating it, and every time I make it and eat it, I'm like, this would be such a good Pizza crust. So it's a focaccia bread.
Crunchy.
It is, it crunches up on the bottom. You know what it reminds me of? I'm hoping it will be like the deep dish pizza crust.
Oh yeah, well, can you, can you put some butter in the bottom of it?
I'm putting olive oil.
Oh, that's what that is.
Okay, I took it out of one of the pans because it was too thick.
It works. You'll have to make a recipe video for your channel. Revive the old lady. You're the last. Alright, Josie, what you watching? Rainbow Brite?
Rainbow Brite, see the shining light. Who's that?
Strawberry Shortcake? Strawberry Shortcake, wouldn't you know. No, who's that? Cabbage Patch Kids? DuckTales? DuckTales, woo-hoo! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! I never got to watch those. My dad made us work. On Saturday. The only day that cartoons came on TV back then. That should age me, right? You got to watch Saturday morning cartoons.
We didn't really. I mean, I don't like cartoons.
Oh yeah, you're one of those. How'd the pizza turn out though?
Good.
Have you tried it?
It's so hot. Well, Henry's chowing down.
He's bouncing back. Henry's chowing down. It passed the Henry test. Jonah's getting through it.
Is it good?
This one's a hair soft. Do you have any that are crispy? Yeah, yours is more crispy. Yeah.
Oh, that's what we got to do, right? When we take it out, we got to put it onto the grates.
Yep. Let it set in it. It's edible. It's still good.
Next time we know how to make it crispy just the way you like it.
That's because I didn't have to make it. Happy day.
