In this vlog, Victor Justin Rhodes walks viewers through a multi‑part homesteading project. First, he moves a group of pigs from pasture into a repurposed greenhouse, explaining why the cows are out of grass and the pigs need new housing. He improvises a gate system using T‑posts and cattle‑pan panels, demonstrating how to secure the entrance and discussing potential issues like pigs escaping or chickens getting inside. The segment includes on‑the‑fly problem solving, teamwork with family members (Jonah, Josiah, Rebecca), and a brief live‑show mention. After the successful pig move, the video shifts to a cooking segment titled “Burn It Up Cooking Show,” where Victor renders homemade lard and prepares chicken fried chicken, listing exact ingredient amounts (almond flour, coconut flour, Redmond’s Real Salt, various spices) and cooking steps. Interspersed are promotional remarks for the Abundance Plus premium community—a Facebook‑like platform without ads or censorship—highlighting its member webinars, live shows, and the sense of belonging among homesteaders. He also critiques corporate social media’s shift toward parenting content, framing homesteading as a path to personal freedom. The vlog blends practical farm work, recipe instruction, community building, and philosophical commentary, all delivered in an informal, enthusiastic tone.

Our nest boxes came from Premier One. Those nest boxes, project for another day. The cows are running out of grass, they're going into bedding, so we gotta get these guys out of here and into this greenhouse. Check our mineral— our chicken minerals. Looks good. They're still getting a little bit of mulch in here. A lot of the big rocks are coming to the surface and the rooster teeth. We could put this on a pallet while it's in mulch. Hey, am I the only one who wants just chicken fried chicken? We gotta go. Hour and a half. We're going live today on the channel, plus we have an Abundance Plus premium webinar, and we want to eat chicken fried chicken. That means this pig move is gonna have to be successful and in a timely manner. We haven't fed them this morning, so they'll be hungry, easier to work with. This is my idea. I think if this works, it could go well. We're actually going to repurpose these gates, and these gates especially, because 'Cause then we'll have a way to get in and out of the pigs. Woo! Last year we had to climb over the fence and it was just a big pain. This would be nice. Jonah has cleaned up our shop, or really, you know, just threw stuff in the sides. I see evidence. We're gonna drive these T-posts in and they're gonna hold our gates in place. Aha! Here they are with all the cattle pan— pig panels. We'll see if we need those. Josiah, get us the post hole driver, please. Should we get the tractor to move these somehow, or just gird up our loins and walk them over one at a time? They're not heavy. All right. Wow, said walk them. If I get in the middle, I could carry one on each side, and you guys can carry the ends, and we can carry two at a time. Definitely works better with a camera. Let's set you guys up right here. Man, that's big time! Woo! And that looks good too. I am super excited about that. That just saved us probably an hour. That might mean we're having chicken fried chicken. We did it! We are calling it. We want some margin in our life. We want some chicken fried chicken. It would be a super rush, don't you think? We could do it, but I don't want to. Yeah, we need margin. I think that was good. We cleaned up in here. It's ready. Now the only problem is this is a little wobbly. I think tomorrow before we put them in, we're gonna find a way to support it up there and over there and over there. The chickens can get in there. That is a concern. I figure if the chicken gets in there and gets eaten by a pig, that chicken lacks some major survival instincts. Bird brain. And I'm not interested in preserving that chicken. So my, my bigger fear is that the pigs will get out and eat all the chicken. So let's, let's get this thing secure. Mañana. On today's episode of Burn It Up Cooking Show, our own homemade homegrown lard. We're gonna chicken fried chicken. If you haven't figured that out by now. 6 cups almond flour, 3/4 cup almond flour— coconut flour. Thank you, Mommy Potamus. 9 teaspoons unrefined salt, which for us is Redmond's Real Salt. Um, let me say, 1, 2, 3, we're gonna do 9, or I'm tripling this. 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. Fat's burning down nicely. Kids are putting away some groceries. 6 cups onion powder and garlic powder— not cups, teaspoons. Whoa, wrong place, wrong place, wrong place. 6 teaspoons of garlic powder, teaspoon and a half black pepper, paprika out in the loft. Don't use it much, although we've been using it a lot lately. Also 1 and a half teaspoons. Oh no, it's dark meat. It's dark meat. It's dark. I thought it was breast. You guys set out some breasts for tonight, please. We'll go ahead and put our Redmond's on this and get it going in the oven. And that's farmer's fast food right there. We can just save the lard for tonight, preheat it. Got the mashed potatoes going, just get them boiled. Raw veggies for lunch. I think this is gonna heat eat up pretty fast. Lunch was good, although it was not chicken fried chicken. About to hop on a live show for you guys. If you missed that yesterday, we talked about our frustrations with corporate conglomerate social media and how it's gone and how it's gone into this parenting mode, and now we're frustrated with it. We want to see and do what we want to do. That's, that's why we're in homesteading. We want to be free. But they'll never take our freedom. We've created something inside Abundance Plus, a whole community area that is like Facebook but without Facebook, without the ads, without the censorship, without all that stuff. Still easy to use. Thousands of people already in there from Abundance Plus loving it. But the core problem is this, and I'll tell you a story from Homesteaders of America. There's not one but two people barefoot. Nobody thought anything of it, and I thought that was so special because all our lives we've seen these signs that say no shoes No shirt, no service. And when there are no signs, it's an unwritten rule. Try to go to Chick-fil-A or even church with no shoes and no shirt and see what happens. Out in the real world, we're isolated and weird. But when we get together at Homesteaders of America or online in Abundance Plus, the Abundance Plus community, you feel a little less strange and you realize even though you may be in the minority, you're confirmed. In your heart and soul that you are doing the right thing. I'm going to be talking more about this throughout this week, show you the benefits that we're unloading in this, this thing we've spent weeks on to develop high-end development kind of stuff. We're going to share on that, but if you want to like just go for it, you don't need the convincing, or you want to just find out for yourself, abundanceplus.com. I'll leave the link for you down in the description. I gotta get on this show. We gotta turn off Brian Felley's Safari Planet and do this. Just wrapped up the live, just wrapped up the member webinar. Let's get the lard going again. Rebecca, you've got these ready? Can I start? Yeah. Okay, this is at— I don't think I can start. Oh, why'd it get turned off? I turned it off because you had it going so early. All right, well, it's 225. Is that hot enough? No, you need to turn it back on. Just cut them real thin. That turned out nice. It really does. I say Cracker Barrel, eat your heart out.
