This content was created by Victor Justin Rhodes. This content was uploaded by Victor Justin Rhodes. This is a YouTube video titled "Grow Your Own Groceries (in 60 Days)" (created 2020-03-28). It is an informal instructional/promo talk by a single presenter addressing an audience, offering five practical ideas to produce groceries quickly (planting fast-growing greens like lettuce/kale/spinach; raising Cornish Cross meat chickens; using a 4x8 raised bed with square-foot gardening; creating an "instant chicken garden"/simple greenhouse; and starting chicks with a basic brooder). The clip includes casual audience interaction (a child and a dog), demonstrations, and a call-to-action to join a free summit that delivers short step-by-step videos.

You gonna sit with me? Yeah. Oh, thank you. That's fun. You sit there. People are wanting to grow more of their own food, but the problem is many of you aren't sure how to grow your food, like, quickly. And many of you don't have that much space. What's your number one struggle for growing food? Space. Space. Land. Okay, you got— bring him up here. We'll hold him in. The videos are always better with cute little girls and cute little puppies, right? Okay, there we go. In this video, I'm gonna give you 5 ideas for growing your own groceries in less than 60 days. Idea number 1: plant fast-growing crops like lettuce, kale, and spinach. Hey, you can't bang the bucket, honey. You can't bang the bucket. Idea number 1: plant fast-growing crops like lettuce, kale, and spinach. All those ready to eat within just 2 months. Idea number 2: raise Cornish Cross meat chickens. I call them sea monsters because they grow so fast and efficient. It's kind of like they're monsters. In just 58 days, 58 days from chick to harvest, 4 pounds of food in your freezer from each chicken. Corners crossed, guys. You want to see some of them? Look at there. I mucho pollo. 4 pounds, guys. That one was 4 pounds 8 ounces. That was 4 and a half pounds in 58 days. That's incredible. I probably shouldn't have done that. Well, it's not raw, it's just the outer of the bag. Probably shouldn't have done that. That's not a cabbage. I can kiss the cabbages. I shouldn't kiss the, the chicken packages. Idea number 3: plant in a 4x8 raised bed. If you go by the square foot garden method, in that area you can plant 72 spinach, 32— is it 32? Yes, 32 Swiss chard, 32 kale, and can you say 32 lettuce? 32 lettuce. All that, that's a lot of food in such a little space, easy to maintain. Idea number 4: plant an instant chicken garden. The Beautiful One planted a tray of Swiss chard, spinach, kale— took 2 trays of spinach, kale, and lettuce All this can be growing inside of a greenhouse. You could slap together a greenhouse with like a glass window leaning up against the wall with maybe some straw bales on either side. Guys, it doesn't have to be fancy. I slapped together a greenhouse out of some big glass sliding door windows and some old trusses sitting around. These are growing in here. Wow. Wait for it, wait for it. While chickens are prepping the garden bed. 2 weeks, 40 inches by 8 feet, 3 chickens. Put them in here 2 weeks, move them over to start another garden bed, or move them every day just to fertilize your yard. If you want to till, have them here for 2 weeks, then move that out and plant. Is he whining? Yeah, he wants to go. Okay, come on. Well, let's, let's, um Move this out, cover, cover with a weed barrier and mulch. You could get mulch from grass clippings from your mower and put it down. And after 2 weeks, your plants are ready. Plant. It's that easy. And if you don't have chickens, just skip the chicken part. Maybe if you could buy some blood meal, sprinkle it over the area for a little bit of nitrogen, and then just cover it up with your weed barrier and mulch. I did Yeah, you can, you can take him back inside. He's an inside dog. Idea number 5: get started with chickens. Get some chicks. You can do it this weekend. A lot of the stuff to set up a simple brooder you have at home, or you can easily get at the store or order online. It's so easy you can get set up in one weekend, and it'll get you on the road towards growing your own chickens. So imagine this, guys. Pretend you did what I said and you ordered some fast-growing crops, some lettuce and some spinach and maybe some kale, and you ordered some sea monsters. In just 2 months, you're sitting down to your own homegrown chicken and salad. Some of the most beautiful moments in my life are when my wife puts down a plate of food and you have a couple of vegetables and you have a meat there, and I, I can tell a story to that food. Those are the 5 ideas. I can teach you every single one of those ideas. I've got a free summit. I'm calling it Grow Your Own Groceries. Gosh, we could call it Grow Your Own Groceries in Less Than 60 Days. I will give you step-by-step, short and to-the-point instructions. I don't think any of the videos are more than 20 minutes. You can get those videos, go with show notes, print those off as a reminder. You don't have to scribble down the notes. You can print these off, take them with you, and go and do it. You want to tell them what? Check out the— what have I been talking about? Growing food. Tell them they can find out more about doing that down in the description. Where? See.
