Hello and goodbye. I know. Just got home from camping. Now I'm going to Nashville. Oh, you're gonna be the big man on the farm. Hey, y'all behave for Mom while I'm gone. Tommy, Tommy, we'll see ya. You help Mom, all right? Get in. Are you tired? I'm tired. Or sick? We just got back from a man trip and we are literally turning around and leaving. I think hopefully you're just worn out and not sick. Come here, you little squirt baby. Come here, you little baby. Bye, Papa. I love you. Mhm. I love you. Aww. Beautiful wife holding down the fort. She got us a hotel. It's a Holiday Inn Express. That means we're going to be sharp in the morning, right? Yeah. Able to accomplish anything. You're not Dr. Stewart. No. But I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. I figured we might be going tomorrow there and back, but we decided decided it'd be better to go up tonight. And then we got to thinking and started to say, you know what, we better go up tonight or else it's gonna be like 11+ hours of driving in a day. So that leaves me and the man-child to get some more driver's ed hours. You'll be driving in a month. Yeah. It's good to get some more practice. When we went to harvest the maple wood for our flooring for our homestead dream house. We planned on 1,600 square feet. How much did it turn into? I don't know where we got that or why we didn't question that, but we— as we come down the wire, we actually need 2,200 square feet. That work? Randolph's letting us borrow his big trailer. I think that'll do it. You doing all right from your knee surgery? First time I've been out of the house since they've done this. Oh good, leave it to me to get you out of the house. Our floor guy reckons we could floor it with that maple flooring. He's saying we're going to need to block the cabinets. That means cabinets are going here, we actually shim it up, and we don't put wood flooring down there. Why are we taking these off? When we get there, we can take this off and they can load it with a skid steer. And he was saying the closets would have to be different, and we're just thinking, this is a legacy house, and what if Jonah is the one that lives in this house, and his sweetheart wants to do something different with cabinets. You'll thank us one day. Let's come up here so he doesn't have to walk. Get my spider webs in here. Oh boy. Well, you can't, you can't quit too long, can you? The nature takes over. We only have one set of yellow straps. They might be slamming that toolbox on it. All right, does your knee hurt? Surgery one week ago. He had surgery, knee replacement. I just about have it, soon have it shot off at the knee with a shotgun and put me a peg on it. It hurts like crazy. It's got a couple big ones. That sets made to go over car or tractor wheels. Yeah, so they— The lights aren't working on the trailer. Do you think that means the brakes aren't working? Uh, if you got it plugged in there real good and hard in the socket. Yeah, try jamming it in there real good, Jonah. Lights working on the little square trailer? I think so. Just got to finagle it on there. So anyway, Mom scrambled to find us some wood flooring. All the regular stuff all around us is like 2 to 4 weeks out, and that's gonna put everybody out on our homestead remodel. We're already behind where we normally— where we wanted to be. We found this in Tennessee, Nashville, like what, 5 and a half hours? It's almost easier to have a trailer on or have a loaded trailer than a clangy bouncing one. We're excited, it's a Buckeyes. Follow the blue thing. Look at this gas station. There's like a shopping center here. What is this place? And it's so crowded, so it's like there was definitely a need for this kind of gas station. Shall we go and see what this place is all about? Go to the potty in the biggest gas station I've ever been in. Goodness. Suite, buffet, bathroom. This place is crazy. You're doing good. You feeling strong? Yeah. Who knew? What a bold business. Who knew that people just wanted a big gas station? Man, that is so cool. My mind's blown now. Did you hear that Buc-ee's, it's a Texas-based firm, they bought Oklahoma and they're gonna turn it all into one giant Buc-ee's. They're gonna buy Oklahoma? Mm-hmm. Turn it into one big— What? No! One giant national Buc-ee's. He's pooped. He's calling it. Good for you calling it though. I'm proud of that guy, and I don't worry about him. He's a very careful guy. Well, we made it safe and sound. Oh my gosh, look, hold on. That is not good for the eye walls. No. Plenty. I think that's enough. Hey, Henry. Say hi. Good morning. You look like a little kid right there. What time is it there? 7:22. 7:22, yep. Happy day. We live to see another one. This is what got him to go. Pop, can we go to Urban Market? It's an organic, gluten-free cafe and little health food store. First in line, that's a good thing. Because there's like— you came in probably as soon as they opened the door, 12 people back. Wagyu and eggs, breakfast burrito. You want to put some of these potatoes in there? I don't want to eat potatoes. I'll just put them on my plate. I think this must be the plant. That way, let's see if we see an office somewhere. Somebody's gonna get mad at me just driving around this place. I bet that's our flooring right there, Jonah. Is that enough? Yeah, just pull right here somewhere and they can actually pull right here and they'll load from that side. Take the wheel well off. We are in the right place. There's one of our lumber. That sag— I'm not sure where he's going to put this other one. I raped my hitch. That's better. And there's no way we're going to get two stacks on here as is. We're going to have to stack individually by hand. It's up sideways now. We're going to have to start stacking up on top. She said we better get a tarp. Should we get a tarp? There's 0% chance of rain. 0% chance of rain, but she said we could ruin it. You trust those gray straps? Yes. This young guy, he's ready to take risks. This old man, he's ready to be careful. We've switched. We're gonna give Jonah some training on some heavy load. Basically just go slower. I've been going 10 under. It's been feeling good going about 60. Stay further away from people and just stay in the right lane. You sure you want to put more weight on that? There we go. Uh-oh, we're getting real saggy. Let's look at it from afar. Oh my gosh, we are squatting. We put that load too much to the front. Straps are holding up nice though. This time Mama says we gotta get her something. Yeah, I think I have an idea. How about a mug? How about this? That kind of purple? That white? We're definitely squatting. I guess we just hurry up and get home. How many more hours? It's 3. 3 more hours. So we pulled over here at an exit. That board was loose. We're missing a strap. Straps are hanging in there. I don't think a strap just falls off like that, does it? No. Did we get robbed at Bucky's? Stinky strap to the rescue. Curve on that side, curve on that side. You ran through that splint, didn't you? That's not funny. This wood cannot get wet. We have to get a tarp. All right. Good, good making. If this wood gets wet, it's ruined. Oh no, there's not a cloud in the sky. That Days Inn has an awning if we have to. I ran into Lowe's real quick. We beat the rain. Look how this has slid forward a little bit. We are safe now. How are we doing with our squat? You reckon it'll hold? If it rains, we'll have to sacrifice a few. As soon as you get the tarp on, it disappears. Tarp's holding nice. Still, we don't want it to rain. There's vulnerabilities in that tarp. No, don't, don't, don't! That, that was like a demanding horn. I'm glad we left the night before. We thought we were going to do this all in one day. He ran the show while we were gone. How is it— how is it going to be unloaded? Like, how does it unload? By hand? Yeah, we have to do it by hand. Look at this guy! You got it mowed behind the cows. It looks good. Get it in the house as soon as possible. Jonah, that's helping a lot. The plan is we'll walk it through here straight into the sunroom. Oh my word. If we unload and it started raining though, we're gonna have to stop. We were gonna unload, but that's looking nasty, and we started having some drops. Our trailer of maple, which is not enough, is going to— we're gonna have to get it out, unhitch this trailer, hook up that trailer, move it, come back and get this trailer, and then put it under the bass shed. I have to chalk it, Jonah, to get it to rise high enough. We're gonna have to go to block. We're good to go. Pressed a block trying to lift this thing. Try the rock. He's got a splinter. Come on. Got Henry situated with the splinter. You know, as soon as we get the wood undercover, it stops raining, stops sprinkling. As soon as you get a tarp or get it undercover. Hey, the truck recovered! Did you get it okay? We just now got his splinter out. I pinched myself so bad. Oh, you did? How is it, everybody? Great. I am gonna murder this turkey divine. You've done a wonderful job. Oh, the broth is amazing. It's really, uh, flavorful. Well, that roast is really flavorful. Beef muffin broth is excellent.
