In this promotional Kickstarter video, the narrator explains the growing desire for home‑grown food and the common feeling of overwhelm when trying to find affordable, practical homestead structures. To address this, he and his partners—a carpenter/engineer and a graphic designer—have created a book of DIY build plans that are simple, multitasking, and efficient. The featured designs include a chicken tractor for fertilizing, the Chickshaw and Chickshaw Mini Me for moving livestock, raised beds with new options, and a turkey shawl. After a year of development, the project is launching on Kickstarter, offering backers early digital copies of the plans (starting with the chicken tractor), a 10 % discount off retail, and exclusive bonuses, with a rollout schedule for the remaining designs. The video calls viewers to support the campaign to eliminate homestead overwhelm and enable DIY food production.

Over the last couple of years, I have noticed a surge in people wanting to grow their own food. They want to save money, they want to be more connected to their food, and even create a bit of food security for themselves. But the problem is they quickly become overwhelmed with everything that there is to do and buy. Should they look for a chicken chicken coop, for example, all they're going to find is something gigantic, expensive, and a collector of poop. By the way, I don't have to clean out manure from any of my poops right now. Years ago, when I was first starting out homesteading, there were even less reasonable homestead structures, so I started building my own. I needed structures that were easy to build, multitasking, and efficient, and these builds ended up forming the foundation of my abundant homestead. I partnered with an engineer/carpenter and a graphic designer to come up with a legit book introducing homestead builds. Some of the builds include the chicken tractor, which is great for fertilizing the yard or building a garden. And of course, we have my staple build, the Chickshaw, and its little brother, the Chickshaw Mini Me. And those are great for moving a posse around a yard or pasture. And of course, I'm including my very popular raised beds with new additional options. You're wanting to grow some food. Now you'll have the plans to build the foundational structures of your new grocery store. We've been working on this book for over a year now. We've been working on this book for— where am I going? We've been working on this book for over a year now. Let's go. Different spot. We've been working on this project for over a year now, and I figured let's take this to Kickstarter so that backers can get early digital copies of the plans even before we go to print. The chicken tractor plans are already ready to go. The Chickshaw plans will be ready by the end of this Kickstarter. The raised beds, the Mini-Me, and the turkey shawl will soon follow. When you back this Kickstarter, you'll get 10% off retail, you'll get the digital printable plans early, and all kinds of exclusive Kickstarter bonuses. All right, no more homestead overwhelm. Well, at least with the structures of your homestead. Now it's time to gird up our loins and make growing our own food DIY. Check it out below.
