In this informal farm vlog, the narrator (the wife) walks viewers through a busy Monday morning on the family farm as she prepares for her husband Justin’s return from a trip. The video opens with her searching for boots and greeting the cats, then moves into a series of farm chores: feeding chickens, handling pig scraps, milking cows (including Flossie and Phyllis), checking on a cow without a calf, moving an Icelandic chicken coop, and dealing with weeds and elderberries. Throughout the morning, various family members and helpers—Jason, Ben, Meg, Anna, and the children—assist with tasks such as painting, installing trim, and setting up a CoolBot. The narrator also discusses the vlog production process, noting that she edited the previous year’s vlogs, that her husband now handles both filming and editing, and expressing self‑consciousness about the length and quality of the current edit. She mentions preparing the house (cleaning, painting, fixing a mini‑Me project) and anticipates Justin’s arrival at 6:30 pm, including the gifts he brought back from his visits to J&L Green Farm and Polyface (meat sticks and apple juice). The vlog ends with a light‑hearted dance segment and a reflection on pushing through despite feeling self‑conscious.

Papa's coming home today! So it is Monday morning. I'm confused. I don't even know where my boots are. Hey kitty kitty! Well, I'm looking for my boots. Oh, there they are. Call me Mr. Brown. Josie, I'm gonna head down to the grain, okay? So much to remember. You gotta remember all the things. So I have my handy dandy notes. Jessa's got the pig scraps. I've got the chicken feed. And we're gonna get some skim milk. You doing okay?
Okay, I'm going to get the feeder out.
Enjoy, chicken friends.
Oh, gross! That's so gross.
It got all over me though. That's what's not cool. I have gotten milk all over myself, so I will be changing my clothes. We have an escapee.
Chesa!
Should we do these guys first since they're stuck in a coop? Those are some big birds we've got there. Considering that we had that problem with them not growing, they recovered nicely. I'm going to venture to say that we're going to have an average of 5 lbs in the freezer.
All right, you grab the other bucket, I'll grab this bucket cuz this grass coming in so nice.
Hey piggies, how are you guys doing?
Oh, it's 8:25.
That took us a little over an hour to do all of those shores, which isn't bad. So I am vlogging again today, Monday. I vlogged yesterday for Justin, and I told him I would do it again today because, um, he may turn the video that he's making into a special video this weekend, but we're not 100% sure on that. So I don't know, you may never see this footage. Okay, next up I am going to change out of these overalls because they're kind of gross. That's better, and now I'm going to clean up the room and kind of get ready for Justin to come home. Everybody loves a clean home, so that is my plan today. Hello, there's your paintbrush.
Okay, and we're about to paint and Use some finished trim.
Nice. Yeah, it's looking good.
Yeah, thanks.
Ben and Meg came by yesterday. They're helping me milk. Oh, they did? And they were like, we gotta see this. So they're like, it looks so good. Yeah, so yeah, it looks amazing. Thank you. You gonna help me hold the globe up there? Oh yeah, that's good. You can't hold it long? No. Okay, okay, you're tired. Okay, let go. Let go.
They're on.
You're gonna turn it on? Turn the light on. Looks amazing. And of course Anna is here today helping because Lord knows I need help with all this craziness. And all of the hollers are here again. My kids are so excited. Hey guys, good morning! Phyllis still is without calf. Okay, that's good. I know she's holding off. That's right, she's holding off. I am bringing the milking stuff down for Ben so he doesn't have to come and get it, and then I'm gonna go out to the Icelandic chickens because this morning I did not move the coop, and I was just reviewing my notes and I saw that I'm supposed to move the coop. So better late than never. Now I'm gonna go back to editing. Fun fact, I used to edit all the vlogs for the year before. For our first year, I edited all the vlogs, and then on the Great American Farm Tour, I was too stressed out, couldn't do it. I did help a little bit here and there, but Justin because that's when he took over editing. He used to film and I used to edit, and now he films and edits and does it all. Here comes Flossie. I'm gonna wait. Let's look at these elderberries though. They're looking amazing. So good. There's a bunch of weeds too. Hey, big mama. She's not impressed. All right, Flossie is in the stanchion and Ben is going to milk her. Now I'm going to go back to editing.
I'm still editing.
It's taking forever. I think it's going to be like a 30-minute vlog, but Lily was wanting to wash something in the washing machine. And back to editing. Still editing. I need to go check the sea monsters and make sure that they have water. Justin's ETA is 6:30 at the airport. You want to go? Come on. And surprise, surprise, I came out and my Jeng Seeders here and something from Premier One. I don't know what that is. I don't know what Justin ordered, but I'm going to— come on, guys, I can't I can't stop, I can't stop, I gotta keep going. My mom and dad are coming down to finish their Chickshaw, which they started on Saturday. They're building the Mini-Me, and they gotta finish it because we gotta put Donald in with the kitchen garden crop. So that means we gotta get their goose that is in the kitchen garden up to their house. I hope y'all like the vlog. It's like 30 minutes long and I feel really self-conscious about it, but it's just me, you know. I'm not like anything special. I'm just doing it, you know. That's what you gotta do. You just gotta do it even when it's hard, even when you don't want to, even when you know, all that. So I don't know, they've got pretty good water, but I'm gonna fill it up. Okay folks, it is done. I don't see Phyllis hanging out with everybody. So we're gonna go check on her. Okay, she's up there, um, and sorry, these bugs, y'all. And I mean, it looks like she could have a baby anytime. All right, well, we'll just keep you posted. Okay, we're gonna check in with Jason.
Pretty much done.
Wow, it's really bright in here.
Yeah, I put the primer on and the coat of paint.
Okay.
And then I put— added this trim.
This is that— oh nice—
the metal that came with the door.
Yeah.
Um, I figured I would just add it here.
Yeah, I guess that's where—
I have no idea.
So the only thing left really is the hooks.
Okay, so we need to get figuring out those.
Yeah, some hooks. And then, um, I just need to mount the CoolBot.
Okay. Because you took it down to paint. Yes. They're home. I went and picked them up at the airport where the rental car was from, and I forgot my camera. So they're back. Everybody is excited and can't wait to see them. Their trip was a huge success. They had a good time together, and they're looking forward to getting back on the farm. This vlog is coming out on Tuesday. You're seeing this on Tuesday, and the video that Justin shot from Sunday and Monday will be released this weekend because it's so, um, such a big edit that he wants to, you know, be able to take his time and not, not be too crazy. So Just know that, that his video is coming from his visit to Virginia. Went to J&L Green Farm and to Pollyface, right? That's right. Those are the two places. So much content, it's gonna take me a while, a while to get it done. Justin brought gifts, which is exciting. Meat sticks from J&L, apple juice from Pollyface. Well, it's not from Pollyface, but you buy it at Polyface. We bought it. Meat sticks from Polyface. Meat sticks from Polyface.
Sound like a woodpecker.
Are you guys excited about the apple juice? Justin is approving. My video that it took me all day to edit. I just finished it right now, but I feel very accomplished.
Hi guys, hi guys, um, today we're gonna go riding. There's Louis the pumpkin, you, Jonah's boots, and who's me? It's time to do some dance, dance, dance moves. It's time to do some dance, dance, dance moves.
