Hundreds Watch As Sea Turtle Is Released Into The Wild

The hosts visit the Loggerhead Marine Life Center to film Poppy, a rehabilitated sea turtle, being released into the ocean. On their way south in a converted bus, they fix failing air brakes mid-trip, then meet Enid at her homestead in Florida, where they explore her goats, ducks, and garden built from scrap lumber.

Good morning! Last week we went to a turtle rescue where these people rescue turtles who have been injured from boats or swallowing a fishing line or trash, and their whole purpose is to restore that turtle, let it heal, help it heal, and then eventually release it. On Thursday, they actually released a turtle. Now of course we were not there, we missed it, but But our friend Krista and her kids went back and watched it and she got a video. I gotta show you this video. Here it is now.
So if you guys remember last week we went with Becca and Justin to Loggerhead Marine Life Center where they help rehabilitate turtles and send them back into the ocean. And we just saw them release Poppy, which was one of the turtles we saw last week when we were there. So I wanted to show you guys video so you could see the full circle of all that Loggerhead does.
Isn't that so cool? All right, back to our daily vlog. All right, bye-bye, Mike. Thanks, Justin. Thanks so much for visiting us, man. You are very welcome. You've been a very good host and you got an awesome backyard. Thanks so much, man. I love it. Good to meet you. Yep. We just said our goodbyes to Susie and Claudia. We are heading an hour and a half south to Homestead. Florida. Having a pit stop here. Mom's going inside the Target to get a few things. The cool thing about a bus is we take our kitchen, we take our bedroom, and we take our bathroom with us. We're gonna be making lunch while she's in there shopping. Got Josiah peeling carrots. Easy on the road stuff. Raw veggies, organic lunch meat, and some cheese. We'll heat this up with some cheese on the stove. It'll be so good. We've had a good lunch. Time to get back on the road. You know what that means? The flags are up. We have arrived. Now here's the deal. We were gonna go to the mermaid's boyfriend's house, but that didn't work out. Now wait, the mermaid's still on. Everything's still good. For those of you who are dying to know when that's gonna happen, that's gonna be Sunday. So that will air on Monday. But we ended up meeting somebody at a meetup. We're at their little homestead in Homestead, Florida of all places. And right when we got here, our air brakes went out. We were pulling in, the brakes were fighting us. When the air brakes go out, they lock up, which is a good thing, but bad if you're in the middle of somebody's driveway. So we're— I'm gonna fix this. I saw the guy work on this. It's come apart. I saw him work on it, so I'm gonna try to redo what he did but do it even better. I can— I think I can get it on there even more. I mean, that's at least what I'm gonna have to try to do. So hopefully we can drive this thing in there, and if I can't do it, we're gonna have to call another mechanic, but I hope not. It's cool enough to get in there now. I'm gonna get my tools. It was too hot at first. I think I got it. I really do. I think I did, but never know till we try it. So we'll see if the air's building up. I don't see any air pressure building up. I don't hear any leaks or see any leaks. Let's watch it closely in here. 120 25. It built up. I don't hear any hissing. I heard the air pressure release, so that means the tanks are filling up and it let off the extra air that built up. This is good. All right, let's do this. Now that I figured out the bus, got that fixed, it's time to look around and see what we got in store. We're gonna do chores with them in the morning, but let's just see what they got going on here real quick. What's your name? Enid. And this is where your goats stay at night? Yes, it is. Okay, you watering them? Yes, I was just giving them some water. There they are. You see them?
Those are the girls.
A whole row of coconut trees. Look at these coconuts. We got ducks, we've got a garden. This is a young little homestead, about Only about 8 months old. A Muscovy. Is that guy coming right up to me? Are you coming right up to me? Are you not scared? Are you tame? Come here, Mr. Brown. Look, these ducks are coming to me too. Let's pet the duck. You must think I'm gonna feed him. Here you go. Hold it. I'll hold it. You can pet him. Very tame. They must pet this duck a lot. These guys too, they came right over to me. And we got the dinosaurs. Looks like they're on a garden job too, folks. I see mulch over there. I see them tilling in here. I bet— I have a hunch that they were once in there. And they did their job and they planted, and now they're in here going at it again. He says, yes sirree, that's it! Awesome coop, nothing fancy, it gets the job done, efficient. It looks like the Harvey Ussery A-frame that I use. I had a good time walking around the property. We just had a great dinner together. The kids are in there getting some energy out. We've just finished editing. I look forward to tomorrow because that goat shelter— she's got it together from scrap wood. It looked like the Harvey Elsberry A-frame was just put together with scrap lumber. That's going to be very interesting. She's got some goats that are hopefully pregnant. I want to see— I want to see and talk more about what she's doing with the dinos. It's going to be good. We're going to get up early. Shoot that and then leave. We go to the Keys tomorrow.
