In this vlog, Victor (Speaker A) walks viewers through a day of farm work centered on finishing concrete work in the basement of a horse barn, detailing the preparation of hallways and stalls, and the conversion of one stall into a walk‑in freezer. He also discusses repairs to a mobile milking sled, including adding larger braces and plans for hauling alfalfa. Interspersed are personal health updates—his recent carnivore diet, adding berries and onions, and a foot ache possibly linked to onions—as well as a mishap where his friend Gideon steps in fresh concrete. Victor then shifts to a broader discussion about current global concerns (war, gas prices, inflation, food shortages) and promotes the new Abundance Plus Community app, positioning it as a censorship‑free platform for homesteaders to share resources, support, and commerce. The video ends with a brief look at the cured concrete, a playful suggestion of turning the newly finished space into a bedroom or toy room, and a reaffirmation of incremental progress on the homestead.

The concrete guys are here to finish the basement job. Yesterday they prepped the area. We're gonna concrete our hallways and two of our stalls. This one and this one. Did y'all know we live in a horse barn? Well, we do. There's muchos stalls down here. All the stalls. This stall, it's even heated and cooled and has outlets. And this stall over here is going to be the new home for our walk-in freezer. Apparently you can't have enough walk-in freezers. I'm thinking we're going to milk early because the concrete's coming at 8:30. I want to be here for that. Hopefully this rain holds out. Our mobile milking sled, which is also our shade rain shelter. Well, it got jacked up and it's in need of some repairs. Hopefully Randolph's coming today. We're putting 6x6s on it, bigger diagonal braces. We've got an idea for pulling it so we take some pressure off these bottom legs. Who's gonna pull this up the mountain? Yeah, then who's gonna carry the alfalfa? You're ambitious.
You like it?
All right, who's gonna carry the camera? Ah, the concrete guys are like 10 minutes early. I like that. Lombardi time. She's after something. Simple and sinister training. Y'all know I did the carnivore. It made me feel great. I introed blueberries, raspberries last week, and then this week onions. Something this week is kicking my butt. My feet are killing me for the last 3 days. Really? Like, really? Could it be the onions? We've cut it out. After training, I went to my acupuncture meeting and I got this text. Sure enough, Gideon stepped in the concrete. So I'm like pulling over, I'm texting people, I'm calling people. Hey, can you come back? Oh, it turns out it's gonna be the worst timing for them, but they pulled through. They sent one guy back, and I'm pretty anxious the whole acupuncture appointment wondering if it's going to be fixed. I'm back home. Let's go see that in a second. But first, we got some very interesting— Abundance Plus has a new app. It's a community app. We all have a lot of concerns right now. There's a war going on, and then gas prices are going crazy, And there's word of inflation and food shortages and all these different concerning things. And I'm always trying to find the solution. One of the solutions is turn off the news and build a garden. Turn off the news and build a garden. We could say turn off the news and build a homestead. There is something special about just getting connected with the earth, getting down to the ground, getting hands-on connection with your food, that does mitigate— is that the right word?— some of those struggles and concerns. But ultimately, we can't do it alone. Ultimately, we need community. We need somebody to come in and say, sell us some pigs, or tell us we're not so crazy, or cheer for us when we're doing good and encourage us. When we're doing bad. Places like Facebook and YouTube, they're coming down with certain restrictions and censorship and stuff like that. It's becoming more difficult, and we just need our own thing. And the technology is there. We've been working on this for months. I'm going to open this with you guys. Abundance Plus has come out with its own community app. I mean, think Facebook without all the silliness. There it is. We have our own app. We actually have our own two apps. And when you get Abundance Plus, You, uh, you automatically get Abundance Plus Community. You can homestead, we can help. Together we can do this. All right, let's check this concrete. Boom! It's the next day. It's cured super well. We're higher up as we come through here. Any permanent marks? Hey Gideon, what was the big idea of walking through here?
Nothing.
No idea. Exactly.
Can this be my and Chad's bedroom?
Oh, you want your bedroom in here, huh? Cooled and heated. Not a terrible idea.
And then you just fix the window and make a door.
Yep.
I want it to be our toy room.
I see. Concrete out to the garden. Concrete in this stall ready for the freezer. Every day in every way we're getting better. That's the name of the game. Just a little bit at a time. Sometimes you get a lot at a time.
