Just in time for Christmas...

In this family‑style vlog, Justin Rhodes (homesteader, permaculture chicken expert) announces a limited‑time Christmas sale of physical copies of his two documentary‑style films—Permaculture Chickens and The Great American Farm Tour—along with a stainless‑steel mug. He explains the content of each DVD: Permaculture Chickens offers a 2‑2.5‑hour tutorial on raising chickens, featuring experts like Joel Salatin, Pat Foreman, and Jim Adkins, covering feed cost reduction, chick rearing, breeding, and garden integration; the case is 100 % biodegradable and can be composted. The Great American Farm Tour condenses a 10‑month, 50‑state bus journey into a 2‑hour inspirational guide, sharing lessons from visiting diverse farms, addressing common homesteading doubts, and showcasing the Rhodes family’s search for “the greatest farm.” Justin details pricing ($29 each, $49 for both plus a mug), bundle discounts, limited inventory, and a sales deadline of December 2 at 10 PM. Interspersed are candid family moments (children, a tree, a baby’s tantrum) and reflections on why they embarked on the farm‑tour bus adventure, emphasizing sustainable living, self‑reliance, and the joy of growing food. The video ends with a call‑to‑action to purchase the items as Christmas gifts.

We got a tree. Yes, it's true. Actually, we got a big tree. I think this is the first time since we've had kids that we had a big tree. Don't worry, I made Mr. Brown promise he wouldn't tear it up. Look at me, put your hand on your heart. I promise not to tear up the tree.
Cross your heart that you promise not to tear up the tree. Cross your heart.
I'm not convinced, Mom. I'm going to See, we've gotten small trees in the past because we could elevate them and he couldn't reach them. But you saw that promise. He's not gonna tear it up, is he? I'm Justin Rhodes from Asheville, North Carolina, husband to a beautiful wife named Rebecca, father of 4 beautiful children, homesteader, permaculturalist, chicken farmer. I'm noticing that a lot of people are wanting to start to grow their own food. I was one of them several years ago. I was just wanting more healthy food with a story that I knew where it came from, so I started growing my own food. But what I started to notice was I didn't know what in the world I was doing. It was so difficult to learn. I started picking up books and researching online, but still it wasn't quite what I was looking for. I kind of needed a mentor or an uncle or somebody who was into it. So now I look to the books, but the books don't always have the answer. So I thought that people are out there wanting to learn this stuff. I want to help them out and I want to teach them. I think there's a quick and easy way to do it. I want to shorten their learning curve. I'd like to start with chickens. A lot of people start with chickens. They're very easy. They're phenomenal to work with. They're good workers in the garden. There's a great entry. Some of the things we'll cover is how to cut feed costs by 100%, how to build your own housing, How to process your own birds. How to cook your own birds. How to breed your own for 100% sustainability. So we're gonna have pioneer and author Joel Salatin of Polyface Farms and Jim Atkins of the Sustainable Poultry Network come and give us their expertise. I'm gonna teach you everything there is to know from hatching your own chicks to putting them on your dinner table and everything in between. Some of the most beautiful moments in my life are when my wife puts down a plate of food and you have a couple of vegetables and you have a meat there, and I can tell a story to that food. For everybody who wants to experience the joy of growing their own chicken products, I'm going to show you how easy it is and be there along with you every step of the way.
