Kubota Gave Me This! (Pinch Me).

In this vlog, Victor Justin Rhodes (and family members) document the anticipated arrival, delivery, and unboxing of a new Kubota tractor on their homestead. The video captures the excitement and logistical concerns around timing the delivery with milking, the unpacking of the tractor and its various implements—including a 4‑in‑1 bucket, pallet fork, and quick‑connect attachments—followed by a hands‑on demonstration of hydraulic controls, gear selectors, and operation of the bucket. Family members (SPEAKER A, B, C, E, and Justin) interact throughout, discussing farm chores such as milking, feeding, and handling feed totes, while also reflecting on past equipment (the “Lucky” tractor) and future plans for the new machine. The vlog includes gratitude toward their audience, mentions a partnership with Kubota, and highlights the business perspective of the deal, emphasizing the value of viewer support for creating content and the long‑term investment in farm equipment.

No lie, I went to get under this hot wire, my tripod caught, I panicked because I thought I was gonna get shocked, which I probably would have. I dropped it and it broke my camera. This is a spare. I've got to get these chores done before this thing arrives. Hey, at least the chickens went up last night. Check, check, check, check, check.
Look at the sheep stick.
Holy moly. They cleared that bank. Oh, they're awesome. It is so quiet this morning. I can hear the water. Well, I've said the kids. I can hear that water from the neighbor's dam. Here are the wild birds. How's it going in here, guys? It looks like you guys have actually done a good job. You got turkey feed in, you got water in. You did that? Wow, it's all you, buddy.
And I gave— and me and Lily gave them water.
Nice. Plants don't care if the Kubota is coming. It's almost 7:30. I'm thinking he's not here. He said he'd come between 7:30 and 8. What if that gets delayed? I'd hate to push the milking back because once it's here, it's probably gonna take a good hour, right, to unload? Maybe half an hour at best. So maybe we should milk. Yeah, we're gonna milk an hour early. I say we can vary it an hour, but we gotta make sure we milk on time tomorrow, and we kind of gotta hope he doesn't come right in the middle of milking. We've decided to go for it. We're gonna cross our fingers. He's looking at more 8 o'clock than 7:30. Look at there. Is that it? That's it. That's it. We got an orange tractor coming down the road. Holy moly, here it comes. I see the pallet fork. No more wondering about if— we had to order our feed in 1,000-pound totes, but we'd do better if we could do it in 2,000. Now we can. Brand new tractor. Looks like you got a round hay bale mover, and then this is, this is gripples or grapples?
They actually call them a 4-in-1 bucket.
Okay. It's a 4-in-1 bucket. You can pick up. Welcome to the holler. Filming so I have notes.
There you go.
So then you disconnected the hydraulics. It's got little caps. He put the cap back on, on those, and I think this is just going to pull out. That's it. That was easy. That makes a big difference, doesn't it? Now we're gonna see how he loads one of these front ends. Oh, lucky he doesn't have a— he didn't have that option. You got a bucket, you can't take it off. And there you go. Comes in, in hooks under these angles here, and you get that under there, and then it has those latches to latch it down.
When is the Sally being hauled?
The Sally, that's cute. The utility vehicle, yet to be named. Watch out, we might just call it the Kubota. It should be coming next. Pretty quiet for a diesel. We got a diesel— well, I guess I don't know if you have the option. But we like the diesel because we can have— we have diesel on farm and a big tank for our generator, now for our tractor, now for our utility vehicle. You excited? Oh yeah, you excited? You're excited, I know.
I told him, said he's gonna love this, especially when he's a little boy.
He won't know nothing but the Kubota tractor, will he? He's into it. He's looking, buddy. You've never seen that.
I'm gonna learn how to drive this. You are?
You like this? Well, quiet.
I figured that Lucky's— that's what I was afraid.
You don't want to drive?
I've actually driven Lucky one time.
Lucky's tricky.
Well, there's too many levers on Lucky that I was like, that aren't, that aren't, uh, labeled. These all look like they're probably labeled.
You know, the— our mechanic said, what are we gonna do with the Lucky? I said, well, I guess she'll be sentimental mascot. Maybe we'll get her painted. I have no guilt about replacing Lucky? No, because my dad would be all over this. Oh yeah, they would be all about this.
He had his frustrations with Lucky as well.
He bought Lucky brand new. There's a reason in '91 its name is Lucky. You look nice. Did you get dressed up for this occasion? I didn't.
I'm going to the chiropractor later.
Don't flatter yourself, Justin. This is game changer right here. This, this pallet fork, the things you're most excited about. The feed was supposed to come yesterday. No, it didn't. So it's probably going to come today.
We're probably—
we're going to be using Let's see how he undoes the back. It's a big old production with Lucky. Let's see how it works with this. He's gonna disconnect the PTO. Just like that, he pulled away. Hear that? Now it's clanking. We're gonna get it out of the way because it might rain. We're gonna park the Kubota in here.
It's the muffler.
Oh, it might be the muffler. All right, he's leaving. He might bring the rest today. Seems like corporate— Kubota corporate's coming tomorrow, officially train me on these things. Ah, I don't think— well, he's got the key, like I guess it's a universal key or something, so we can't drive it if we want, uh, but maybe the feed won't come today. It'll come tomorrow and we'll be able to get it with this. I know we've got this sitting right here. All right, well, we'll get plenty of feed orders.
Can I please get on it?
Sure, go ahead. I was headed back to work and the boys are like, let's get on it. Look at this tread, 4.5 feet. That's as tall as you are. Papa, this is brand new. Good year. Those tires are expensive.
Look at how this is way bigger than the—
is it? How does it feel up there? Good. Look at all the devices.
Yeah, that's a lot of—
man, you look good with that old rabbit's feet, Papa.
Yeah, now let me try.
You get up there and sit.
It has headlights.
It's not on. Keys aren't even in it. He took the keys. So what do you think? It's cool. These quick connects for the implements are amazing. Oh my, I've never had a new tractor Which, by the way, if I was— well, I was in the market, I would— this tractor runs, I don't know, about $30,000 or $40,000. Yeah, think about all the work you would get done in 30 years with that tractor. That's a lot of work. $1,000 a year depreciated, I think, uh, you'd get a lot, a lot more work than $1,000 a year out of it.
You think this thing can mow? Oh yeah.
Yeah, they're bringing us a, uh, a mower.
What?
Yeah. You gonna let me sit up there?
Uh, no.
Let me have a seat, Mr. Brown. Oh my goodness, look, the pads aren't even dirty yet. Oh, it's got lights. Yeah, it does. Oh, it's got probably a working fuel gauge. Yeah, I know, that's gonna be handy.
Yeah.
Oh, oh, that's the lift. I don't think I would dare try to even drive this thing without them teaching me. That'll be fun. They came at 7:30. Where y'all been?
Oh no, it's so clean! I know, right?
Oh my goodness, brand new!
Look how big that is!
So big!
Yes, you could crawl up the tires like a ladder.
It's the equivalent to our old one.
Is it?
Yeah, it's the 30 years younger Kubota version. No, Rebecca said she's gonna drive it. She did.
Oh, it'll be wonderful. I'm sure it must be easy.
It's all quiet. Oh my, smooth.
Did you have fun up there?
Get up there, Grandma. Let's see you up there.
Oh, there we go. Let me put my chicken.
Get these Florida parents up there.
Oh, look at the handle. Sweet.
Oh, help the old folks out. Never would you have dreamed, huh?
Oh my goodness, how many? Oh, one 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 foot levers.
Kubota has gone above and beyond expectations here. So many implements, more coming, like surprise implements I didn't even know I was getting. More coming? Yeah. All right, nice. You work at night? Yeah, now we have extended hours.
What is the double?
You know, I don't know, we need to ask.
Put another wheel on here.
Oh, do you? You can put more wheels Oh, all you got to do is hook up your implement right here. Yeah, it sits on these 3 hooks and then you just do this and it's attached. Wow.
And what's this for?
It's a quick connect for those items. Those— the one, the, the tiller is one of them, but a lot of the other back— oh, it has to hold in a big—
where did they deliver it From Asheville.
Okay, the fella thought he might deliver some more today, definitely between today and tomorrow. Yeah, let Phyllis over too, we're drying her off. Big thanks to Kubota, generous deal. We're gonna get you a lot of attention, you deserve it, you're a respected company. You're, you're, you would be my go-to tractor if I were buying one, so I fully believe in this deal. We get a lot of deal offers, guys. and we consider very few of them because one, we've got to believe in the product, and this we believe in. Mark, the mechanic, was here yesterday and he said— I told him about it, he's like, a lot of years of hard work paying off. Oh, and there's some truth to that, you know. What do we put out, almost 2,000 videos in 5 years? Built an audience, you guys. It's been a lot, it's been a lot of hard work. This is a tractor deal. 5 years in the making. I mean, if you count the work we did before we started making content on the homestead, 15 years in the making. This didn't just happen overnight. And I want to thank you guys. I've been meaning to say this for the last few days. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm overwhelmed with gratitude for you guys, especially lately as I explore Abundance Plus. Us and getting on people's TVs and really going up against all the other content out there— Netflix, HBO Max, Disney Plus, Discovery Plus, ESPN Plus. The amount of content out there on YouTube, the amount of content, guys, you can consume between podcasts and all the different Amazon Prime— it's just— and it's unimaginable. And then for so many of you guys to choose to take 10, 20 minutes daily and watch our shows. I'm— give me a hug, give me a hug, give me a hug. I'll hug the tripod here. I'll hug the tripod. Thank you. Thank you for taking time out of your precious day, your precious life, and giving us your attention for that time, because that, that means a lot to us. It's very valuable. And you know, it enables to keep on creating content, which is something we love. And it— we wouldn't be getting this deal without you guys. If you guys didn't watch, this, this kind of stuff would not be happening. So I thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Load number 2 is here. Boom! What you got this time?
Rotary cutter, aerator, counterweights, this— all your goodies. I think the only thing I got left back in the yard is your RTV.
Okay, good. He gave me the keys. That mean I'm driving? All right, he's going to show me how to do it.
This is a shuttle shift. Okay, so you don't necessarily have to use a clutch, but when you're doing you know, minute movements, you're gonna have to use the clutch. So basically it's got to be neutral. Okay, to start.
All right. Hey, brakes. Hop down and get in.
Brakes in conjunction with this lever right here. This is park brake. Okay, so you'll have to push and release both of those. Of course, that's just tilt for your steering wheel. Throttle, loader. I'm going to say your loader's going to be almost identical to your Ford. Anything you pull towards you is going to come towards you. Anything you push away from you is going to go away from you. Gear selectors, 1 through 4. Range selector, high, low, deep reduction, I believe that's what that is. I might lie to you. Of course, this is all for your rear remotes. PTO, uh, clutch, left pedal.
Yep.
And forward and reverse.
Okay, uh, this is forward and reverse. Okay, and there's no like— there's no high or low, it's all—
there's just 4 gears. High, low. Okay, I'll load.
All right, we'll stay in low today.
Yeah. Okay, and of course, 1, 2, 3, 4.
Okay.
So you'll even get lower.
And what was this one again?
Park brake. Okay. Watch, see it go down.
All right.
And then it holds brakes down.
Okay.
Yep. And then you're— there you go.
All right. This is the steering wheel.
Yep.
Cool. The clutch. Yep. This little—
when you see these, it's actually a good indication that you have a hydraulic shift shift.
Okay.
Because if you go to get on and off, it keeps you from knocking it into gear. Okay, cool.
All right, this runs the bucket?
Yes, sir.
Okay.
Uh, little button here is power for your 4-way bucket.
Okay.
And then of course open and close on these two.
Okay.
You can't run your 4-way buckets, you can hit these all day long unless you push this power button and supply power to it.
Okay. All right, thank you. Here it is! Oh my goodness, look at this! This is crazy, crazy! Oh my word, that was awesome. Can't wait to get some major work done with that. More stuff coming tomorrow, and, uh, cannot wait to unload that feed tomorrow. The feed called, they're not coming today. That's so cool, they're coming tomorrow. I couldn't have planned that, guys. Couldn't have planned it. See you tomorrow. Normally don't vlog on the weekend, we're gonna vlog this weekend. Getting a bonus video this weekend. See you tomorrow.
