Hello everyone! Big day! Big, big day! Prepping for Alaska! The biggest state in the union! I think it would take up half the continental US if you put Alaska on top of it!
Yeah!
Beauty's prepping! We got a lot to—
Packing! So much packing!
So much packing! Hey y'all! People are coming in for the live show!
Nothing like last minute to get it all done, right? No!
It's gonna be a good— It's gonna be a good show today! What we did, we didn't shoot a vlog yesterday. We just prepared and and packed for Alaska. And today we decided we'd go live with you. How fun! So Beauty's packing. She's wonderful at that. I'm editing. Mr. Brown is asleep, so hopefully he doesn't wake up and ruin the show. Hey John, welcome to the house. Well, welcome to Maple. Welcome Becky, good to see you. Randy, I've been meaning to get a hold of you, buddy. I'm gonna, I'm gonna text you. Thank you. I'm glad you're on here reminding me. I'm gonna, I'm gonna help you out with that, that product idea you got, buddy. Alaska is awesome, they're saying. Okay, we have big, big plans for Alaska. Not only is the biggest state in the union, we've never been there. Grandma and Big Daddy are coming.
Yeah, they're there.
Oh, they're there, they're there, they're waiting for us.
They arrived yesterday. They'll be picking us up from the airport and then we're gonna be heading straight to the Alaska State Fair because it—
It's the big part, guys. The big part.
I thought it ended on like Wednesday. Well, it doesn't. It ends on Monday. So we have to jet there to make sure that we make it.
Well, we have to have to make it to the Alaska State Fair because big cabbage— you don't know this, but well, you might know this, but Alaska grows the biggest vegetables in the world. Well, I don't know for the world, I don't know, but big vegetables. And the way they can do it is because— I don't know if you know this, but Alaska, because it's so far up north during the summer, doesn't get much darkness. So it's like 16-hour days. Even though they have a short growing season, it blows up. And we thought this fair would be there longer. It's actually there It ends Monday. So we're gonna fly. We fly tomorrow, which is Monday, and then we have to make it to this fair. We fly in and arrive 1 o'clock afternoon rush— I'm saying Russian time because you're talking about Russians, Randy. Okay, Alaska time, which is only an hour different.
Way to really get him.
But I think he was talking about Russian vegetables, maybe, which, yeah, they're up there in the same— they get the same situation with a lot of light. So We're gonna arrive and then just go there as fast as we can. Hopefully we'll make it. Ontario in the house. Thank you. We're gonna have so much fun there. Some other plans that we have for Alaska besides the big state fair. Hopefully we won't have any flight delays. This is the kids' first time flying. Jonah flew when he was little. He doesn't remember. None of them are scared. Beauty's scared, but she's not scared of dying. She understands it's safer to fly in an airplane than it is a a car, but we finally figured out what in the world you're scared of.
I don't like roller coasters, and I feel like it's a roller coaster.
It is a roller coaster, I'll give you that.
And sometimes you're flying smooth and then that's, that's what I'm afraid of, and that's not fun.
And then when you take off, the G-force is pushing you back in your seat.
I don't know, that, I don't know, that doesn't bother you so much? I don't like it.
So do you like taking off or landing better?
I like landing.
What do you guys like? You guys like taking off or landing better? Have you guys been on a plane? Come on, get the chat blowing up. Here we go. They saying you got this, Rebecca, and I think you do. And she will. She's just gonna hold my hand tight. We're gonna record it and documenting. Oh, Randy, you like taking off. Why? I think I like taking off too. I always get really nervous when the plane is about to land because I feel like, you know, it kind of gets windy sometimes and they get kind of crooked. I'm thinking, we're crooked and we're gonna land, and we'll land and it'll jerk and correct real straight. Everybody likes taking off, Beck.
I can't wait to get—
she loves landing. And you know, so I can kiss the ground. I can't wait.
You're gonna kiss kiss the ground? I probably won't kiss the ground.
No, she won't do that.
It's the airport, it's kind of gross.
But you know what, that made me think. If there's a big cabbage, will you kiss it?
I will kiss the big cabbage.
Will that represent kissing the ground?
If I can catch it.
So if the people growing the big cabbages will let us, we'll kiss the cabbages.
I will kiss the cabbage.
Okay.
I love me some cabbage.
Randy wants us to read about how pilots land the plane. So hello UK in the house! Okay, people don't like flying, you're not alone, Beck.
I like being on my feet too. That's what I love about the bus. We can just drive.
—And they're best when they're flying. So—
Yeah, we are going to Hawaii and yeah, it's going to be a long flight.
We won't think about that right now.
One flight at a time, dear. Actually, it's kind of funny because I was looking at flights from Hawaii and I was like— It kind of got me all anxious about this flight. Okay. Good. I know, I'm not— It's not— It's fine. It's gonna be fine. I just don't love it. It's been— It's been like 9 years since I've flown, so—
All right, some other plans we have for Alaska is Denali National Park. It's gonna be absolutely incredible. We're gonna be hanging out with Big Daddy, Grandma a lot. Gonna go to Denali National Park and we're gonna go see Life Goes North. We're gonna go see Life Goes North, a fellow YouTuber. We're gonna just see what happened. I feel like their life went north. I feel just like the name of that title means probably they probably not from Alaska. Are they from Alaska, Rebecca? Are they from Alaska? No. So that'll be an interesting story. Here we got Lily. Uh-oh, Beck, come— we you come get the kids? Rebecca, Rebecca, come. Hey guys, hold on, we'll be with you in one second. Yeah, okay, you're gonna take care of the kids? All right, the kids are interrupting. Sorry about that. Beauty's gonna take care of it. You chew on ginger, um, maybe that will help Beauty if you chew on ginger. So those are our plans. If anybody knows anybody in Alaska you'd like for us to see, well, we're gonna have a meetup in Alaska. If you're from there, please come. It's going to be in Anchorage. We announced it in the— we called it the Washington Alaska Meetup. So go there, get that information. You come there, we're gonna see what our viewers are doing too. And so those may be a possibility of places to visit. So, oh, we'll also go to the fair where they're growing these vegetables, and maybe we'll meet somebody there that we can go and feature. So we've got Life Goes North, Denali National Park, and we're gonna go with it and just hope that we can feature some other folks. And see what's going on. So Mr. Brown just waking up from his nap. I think we'll wrap it up. I think that's what we wanted to talk about. Okay, is there something— are we gonna hang out for a little bit? We will come to California. Who's my eyebrows?
Someone said you had nice eyebrows.
Oh, thank you very much. I never thought about me having nice eyebrows. Okay, uh, we're gonna be a lot of time in San Diego. Lots of times.
We're also gonna be— Diego Futter—
we're gonna go to San Francisco. We're gonna We're gonna go to the red, uh, not the red, not the Giant Sequoias. Can't make that. We're gonna make Redwood Forest.
Oh, Randy, Randy, Randy, you trying to emulate? You want to go out and see if the kids will play b-ball for you?
You want to play b-ball, Mr. Brown? They got a b-ball court here, y'all, and it's short. I can dunk. Bring it back to dunks. Okay, you want to wrap it? Maybe this Um, so Beauty— Beauty's gonna take Mr. Brown out. You want to come? And she's putting away this explosion. You guys want to come with us? Oh yeah, let's do this, let's do this. You guys pop in some questions, we'll hang out with you for a little bit more here. Uh, after Alaska— you guys always want to know where we're going after— oh good, look guys, they're working in the garden. Okay, so after Alaska we then, uh, come back to Washington, we go up to Curtis Stone. Guys, the vlog is going to blow It's going to be absolutely amazing because we're going to Curtis Stone for a couple of days. He's the urban farmer making over $100K farming other people's backyards in urban situations. And then we're going to go see Paul Gauci, and he's probably the— Paul is probably the number one requested guy we go see. He's invited us to his place. We're going to be there 2 full days, hoping it's going to be the Back to Eden again. So it's gonna be, I don't know, like the sequel to the first Back to Eden, the famed Back to Eden film. If you haven't seen that, guys, Google Back to Eden and it's a free movie on Vimeo. And that's about, I don't know, an hour and a half, 2 hours, totally free. Disneyland, no. Disney World, maybe when the tour's over. I don't know, who knows what we'll do. We're gonna take a break. Let's turn this around and let you guys see this kid. To see these kids.
No, we're not taking the bus to Alaska.
Nope. All right, here we go. Introduce you guys. You are— people have not met y'all yet. My name's Elena. Okay, Elena. And, and I'm Doug. Oh, Doug getting into it, buddy. Doug's getting excited. No, we're not gonna go see Wrangler Star. He said that he was too busy. So here we go. You guys are digging up potatoes. We got potatoes. Here's what they found so far. Okay. Hi Gary, good job on the potato, guys. You guys happy to get your hands dirty again? I don't care. Okay, how about right here? Here's a plant. Dig up there and see if you can find some there. Mr. Brown, you want to get involved or you just wake up? He's just waking up. Yeah, take it easy. We've had the best host, guys. We've had the best host here. They're gonna keep Maple. Uh, Maple's in good hands. The basil plant is in good hands. They're babysitting the basil plant. Good story too. I'm editing it now. Uh, shot it this morning, editing it now, the vlog, so that it can get— you know, I have the iMac, but we're about to not have the iMac. We're gonna have the iPad, the, the, uh, MacBook Pro, which is a laptop. It's gonna be a little trickier editing, so want to edit all we can on the iMac because it's a much bigger screen. But look, I'm going to give you a tease of the vlog I'm working on that goes out tomorrow. You guys got to see this interesting story inspired by us. Okay, before— you guys remember this? Before, after, before, after. And chickens and vegetables. So why do you think homesteaders are so likely to get a bus and travel. Adventurous. Yeah, uh, searching for community, uh, freedom. All these things are in common— travel and bus and homesteading. Okay, I'm gonna wrap it up, Rebecca, unless you have something else to say. So guys, we're gonna get back to it. Beauty's gonna get back to packing, uh, packing us up. I'm gonna get back to editing, and the kids are just gonna continue the potatoes. Good for you guys, go at it, guys. Here's a plant right here. Hey, look, Josiah and Jonah, look here, and Lily, look here and say goodbye. Goodbye, bye-bye, say bye-bye. It's like a treasure.
Bye-bye. It's a heart. Do you see that?
It's a heart. I can't find mine here. Rebecca has stopped her channel because she does not have time to do it at this point. We are crazy busy, but it will
