In this informal vlog, the narrator chronicles a busy day on the family homestead. The morning starts with a windy attempt to move large boulders for Grandma, hampered by broken tractor grapples and a series of humorous mishaps involving the boys, the narrator’s partner (referred to as "the Beautiful one"), and a supervisor. After the boulder work, the family heads to a grocery store date where the narrator tries sardines for the first time, commenting on the taste and texture. The day continues with plans for a classic burger night cooked on a Green Egg smoker, including details about the buns and cooking temperature. Mid‑vlog the narrator shifts to a professional note, reviewing a homestead‑design slideshow created by long‑time collaborator Amanda and edited by Austin, praising their work and announcing a limited‑time webinar replay and accompanying booklet on setting up a homestead. The video closes with an update on farm infrastructure: a new shed is arriving, and the team will need to move trailers to place everything under shelter. Throughout, the tone is conversational, light‑hearted, and promotional, offering viewers a glimpse into daily farm life, family dynamics, and the creator’s educational resources.

It's very windy today. You want to go inside? Yeah, you can go inside. You said you wanted to go outside. No. Electrician's here. Let's see what's up. The boys are getting boulders for Grandma. He was crying the whole time meeting with the electrician, and I got a lot of homework from the electrician. Hey, we're going up to Grandma's. We better hurry before those boys get done. What are we waiting on? You! Let's do it. Look at this rock. It's not just a boulder, it's a rock. Beauty. Jonah, Jonah, what's wrong with the grapples? I can't pick the log up and go. I was spinning out on one arm and I can't pull myself up. So nothing's wrong with the grapples? The grapples are broken. When was somebody going to tell me? The tool for the job would be the grapples on the tractor. Back loader, but apparently they're broken. And apparently I've been told— I don't know, but I've been told— he's not gonna get up that hill. I got a grandma's hill with it. Getting repositioned above it. I don't know why he just won't let me do it. How could you do it? You're supposed to put it really close to the blade, and then it doesn't do what it's doing. Yeah. Look, I guess Big Daddy's taking over the chickens. She's got you doing the chickens, huh? Well, come down. You did it! What do you think about that big rock? That's just a stupid boulder. What are you thinking? It's just taking a long time. What do you say, twice as much rock? Not quite. I don't think— I don't— well, we're not going to boulder all the way up to the level. While we're up here, let's go meat shopping. 4 packs of sausage, 7 lbs of flossy lamb, It's quitting time. I'm just so proud of these boys. Uh, it's kind of hard to believe Jonah's 16. That's the age I was when I met the beautiful one. I'd say we're about halfway there for boulders. Sun is up. We need that after a week of rain. We're calling that the project for this morning. We'll resume tomorrow. Be a little drier, even a little more easier to work with. Time, Henry, let's eat! Homeboy likes trees. After lunch walk, Beauty is about to come by and pick me up on the way to our weekly date to the grocery store. Although I do not like going to the grocery store, and I'm hopefully eliminating that pretty soon, I do enjoy my little micro dates with the Beautiful one. That's what got me out of the bed this morning. There's my date. Hey, good looking. Uh-oh, I got a supervisor on our date. Just skim this boneless. Am I supposed to eat the bones though? I have no idea. Doctor told me I needed to eat sardines. Is that omega-6? You enjoy yourself. I've never had it. All by yourself. I'm not eating none of it. You're not even gonna try it? It seems like you should get it deboned and just eat it whole, but don't you want the bones? First time trying sardines. I've heard they're salty. My dad used to like them on— no, he liked anchovies. Smells like cat food. Am I supposed to eat the sauce too? I have no idea. Now it's not nose to tail, they've actually removed the tail and the head. Monday night, burger night, one of our favorite. How are the buns coming? They're coming. And I look forward to Monday night. I need to grab a quick second to go over the slideshow for the homestead design workshop. If you missed that though, this vlog's out, it's over if you missed it. But the replay's up for a limited time. I just sent her an outline and she comes up with this amazing— one of you actually starts so long ago with someone in the audience expressing interest, reaching out to help, offering their service, and then me hiring them. And I've hired Amanda for 8 years. Grow right side of your door. We talk about how to do that. We talk about how to grow what's closest to your heart. What should you grow? Oh, my eggplant story. That's a hilarious story. We don't grow eggplant anymore. Anyway, this is looking really good. Good job, Amanda, if you watch this. Which, incidentally, the editor— everyone thank Austin— was also a fan. Amanda did an excellent job, and she was working on that while I was creating more content. So everyone can thank Amanda for making all this possible. I guess when Here, I'm gonna send her a WhatsApp. Amanda, I'm so impressed by the slideshow. You went above and beyond, more than I expected. It looks absolutely beautiful. Wonderful design. Thank you for getting it to me on time. Uh, homestead community appreciates it. I appreciate it. 400 degrees, the best way to do a burger. Green Egg Smoker. About that slideshow, how about I get you guys that slideshow the video course where I taught— I teach— it'll be the webinar replay of teaching how to set up a homestead, plus my booklet on how to set up a homestead. Only available right now, only available till February 10th, and if we're not doing this again till next year, guys. I just got word he's coming with the shed. The big shed's coming. We gotta get the trailers out of there. Oh yeah, but just thing. You're gonna get the trailers out of there, and then when you put them back, everything on this farm is going to be under shelter.
