Really? Leftover ice cream from last night. We're going over to the farmhouse. You want to go? No? Hey, where'd you get that horse? In Lily's— out of Lily's room. Is it your birthday present?
Yes.
Or was it Lily's birthday present?
My birthday present.
He's confused. I think he thinks you just declare it's your birthday and it's your birthday. Is it your birthday today, Josiah?
No.
I'm gonna put this on for you and then you're gonna have to leave me alone. I'm gonna go coming out the farmhouse. Bring more jars. Have you checked in there? I did. There's no more jars in there? No. Are we out of jars? None here.
Look at all this milk. And then we have milk upstairs too.
Look at that cream line though.
Wow.
We're gonna get some jars. We gotta cream separate, but we've lost our little ladle in our move. That would get us some more jars.
Hey, good morning.
You know where our little ladle is for cream separating?
I— it wasn't in that thing. Yeah, I didn't see it in there. Quart. Ha!
Half gallon.
You know that thing that was 4 lines? It was super weird. It was kind of annoying to deal with. It was orange, had a bunch of posts and 4 lines in it.
Yeah, can I—
can we use that for the animals out in Harriet's area? I mean, we don't have enough nets. I can't find any nets anywhere.
Oh really? There's brand new nets in a box in that stall.
Oh, just got his brand new net.
Can you guys get that tractor in from the rain before hurricane rains are coming? Gotta move Harriet. They gotta clear more for the graveyard. I need to clean up the farmhouse before the rain. Our tenants, I'm very excited about our friends and They're friends and editor of this vlog. I'm excited. That should enable us to do more with edits, be more filming opportunities, vlog, and abundance plus. I got your jars.
I have to cook breakfast if anyone's gonna get a bath.
So what are you gonna do? I don't know. It's hard to do both. No, just tell him you got to make breakfast. No, come on, come on, let's go clean up the farmhouse. We have roughly 2 hours, then we need to go to Lily's horse lesson. I think that might be an impossible goal. We gotta go and I gotta take him with me. Do you want him to take a bath with you? Hopefully I don't regret this. Gideon, go take a bath with him, please. Stay in as long as he wants to stay in. Today I don't have a great idea, great project for the vlog. I mean, we're just moving all the crap out of the farmhouse to our house or somewhere because our friends are coming. It's not a great idea. In YouTube, you need a lot of good ideas. You need good ideas to make interesting content. So I'm gonna have to lean into my Casey Neistat, which says it's the execution that matters, never the idea. Look at our impossible goal. Empty boxes got to get filled. Gotta go through all these shoes. Everything must go. Good story. The hero has a goal. Let's get a goal going. You don't need the couches. It's the only thing they don't need. All of the furniture stays. This room isn't that bad. Got a little bit of odds and ends.
You want to keep utensils over here?
All utensils can stay. We'll take the cleaning supplies. We can even leave those. We have enough storage containers, but let's go through them. I think we'll leave most of this, but we should double-check. Bedroom's got some clothes we gotta get out. One of these bunk beds has gotta go. That could probably wait. Kids' clothes have got to go. It's Betty. Idea is start with the washing because the machines can be working while we're working. Good delegation. Probably done 80% of the work, but that last 20%, maybe the 80% of the effort, it's just tidbit stuff like where does it go? I see an elephant one bite at a time. Start with this porch. Let's add some stakes to this story. Hurricane rains are coming. We don't want to be hauling boxes in rain. We gotta hustle, and we got about an hour and a half till we got Lily's lesson. If we don't get done, we're gonna let down our friends because they're gonna be ready to move into this. Yay! With Annie's help, it might be possible. What you need?
I need you to hook this up, man. Okay.
Henry's calling me too from the banister. Get down, Henry! Do you need me? What do you need? Now we're experiencing an obstacle. I think Lily's supposed to be watching Henry. He appears to be alone out on the banister. Lily, where's Henry?
Where's Henry? Yeah, he's with Mom.
No, he's not. You're in charge of him. He was out on the banister, honey. The railing. You got to watch him. Hey, you got to stay with Lily, okay? You're going with me. Or Lily, which one?
I don't know.
Annie?
I wanna get eggs.
Okay, Annie's with me. I wanna get eggs. Okay, well, let's finish what we've got at the yellow house, he calls it, and then we'll get eggs. Could go get pizza supplies.
I'm going to.
Okay.
I already said it. I'm gonna take the later lesson and I'll drop the trailer and go get it.
Oh, okay. But then that's— is that for supper then tonight?
No, because, uh, you can't make it till I get back anyway. You just have to put the cheese on. How bad?
We're at obstacle number 2. Jonah's having problems with this machine. Can't get these on, huh? Ready?
You need to push it. No, you're not good at what I'm saying. We're gonna put it in here, okay? And then we're gonna push it against the machine. I'm gonna go inside and curl it in.
There it is.
Got it.
Just girded up my loins. Now what's wrong with you? Mom's here getting clothes. We got some boxes piled up. Porch is done. We got our stuff stacked over here ready to go over. Now we dare attack their ram. We dare. I feel like we're making good progress. A little bit to go. We heard bellowing and we looked out and we saw Harriet. She's supposed to be across the creek in the 2 acres. Boys were up there today assessing whether they move or not. We didn't move her. Maybe that was a mistake, but she can't be out. She'll end up getting with those cows. Maybe she's in heat. She gets bred by the bulls. She's way too young. It stunts her growth. We gotta get her back in. Looks like, uh, Annie's got her leading on the alfalfa. Don't get distracted. Come on, come on. All right, you gonna stay in? She might be in heat. We got the fence. Straightened up a bit. Was it off when you came up here? Hmm. Hopefully you didn't just jump it. I've seen you jump. Get in. Good job sweeping the floor. We're having a little bit of a replay of last night. We had some leftover pizza crust. Gonna make a few more and relive the joy a little bit. Beautiful one has a headache.
Where did it hit you?
In the back of the head. Well, it's kind of all over. It's been since we moved?
Um, about 3.
In the last week. Hopefully it's—
I think it's stress.
So hopefully it's stress. Jonah ended up taking Lily to horse lessons. Thank you, Jonah. And he's wrapping it up. There's just a little bit to do over there. We've got the boxes on the porch. I think we'll get them over after lunch if the rain holds out. Mom laying down, bless her heart. It's been a stressful year and a half. Jonah's domestic chore right now is kitchen. I'm gonna do that 'cause he's gone to get pizza supplies. That's the least I can do. We just crushed some lunch. Guys, we gotta all chip together and get the boxes over here. The rain is threatening. Henry, what do you have? A truck. Wow.
It's beautiful.
Who made you that truck? Bill Mitchell. All right. Hey, if he's satisfied with a wooden truck, let's keep that going. Give her the parade wave. It's a mad skill right here, Josiah. Almost a 180. Oh, could you do it, Jonah?
Yeah. Yeah, he ain't doing it.
Uh-oh, uh-oh, he's going too far. He's cutting it too far. Oh, oh, oh, oh, he saved it. He barely saved it. That's pretty good. 15 years old. Help me move it, young man. You're gonna watch me on the overhead? Come on, Hannah.
What? What?
It turns. Hey, stop. Help me move it.
You're doing great.
Let him do it. Is that why I have a 17-year-old? I'm so happy we are about to be completely moved out of the farmhouse. What shot should we get?
No.
Loading the trailer or unloading the porch? No, no, no. Come on.
That's a dummy move.
No, Jonah, let him pass it to you. Now you have to handle it twice, bend over. Come on. Let's not bend over twice. We got time lapse of half of it going out down here and then the other half getting loaded in the trailer. But I forgot to get the time lapse of half of it loading, so even it out. We'll do the time lapse of getting it off. Seriously, we're crushing it. We got that empty. We even got everything put away. One more thing to do. We seriously just felt— I just felt a raindrop on my wrist. Oh my gosh, I just felt one on my elbow. Oh boy, how's Harriet getting out, Jonah?
I don't know.
Shoot, she's jumping the fence, Jonah.
No, I know this spot.
Oh, you do?
Saw it knocked over and I thought we were moving them and then I forgot.
Oh, okay, well that makes me feel better. She's not jumping the fence. And we got rid of all our stuff. Any last words? Back to our humble home. Stinks. That has— that housed us for 6 months. I hate it.
Really?
Hey, what would we do without it? It's literally living room. We'd have to stay off the farm. Okay, glass half full. This was an amazing home. It was the home of my, my father. He grew up here when he was a kid. He had 4 brothers and sisters, so it's the exact same situation. I believe some kids slept in a mattress in the living room, some kids slept where our kids slept, but look, they didn't have much room. Look, don't get me wrong, we're all happy to leave.
I don't think they invented bunk beds.
No, I don't think they have bunk beds. I think they just piled up in the beds together.
Oh, also look at this, he was sleeping and he bopped it, he hit it with his knee in the middle of the night. And then Gideon shoved his heel through that part of the wall.
You guys are hard on stuff.
That's how small this house is. It's the small house.
I was excited to experience what Grandpa Henry and Grandpa Burdell experienced as two adults that love each other in a house with their five kids.
Did we have to experience that? Did we have to?
I used Granny's old dresser for a while. We're happy to move out. Austin and Ashley are thrilled to move in. They've only got one little tiny kid. They're living with their parents right now, so they're more than happy to move, you know, get some of their own space. Let's give everybody a final tour.
This is the living room. This is the small kitchen. Tiny bathroom. The bedroom. This is our bedroom.
Obviously it still has to get cleaned. Uh, no problem. We'll get that done. Welcome to the holler, Ashley and Austin and Waylon. It's gonna be productive and fun. Austin has already invited us to the— to come watch the UFC fight on Saturday night, so that would be fun. That means maybe we need to get into cable internet over here, Jonah.
Oh, we're not going to the actual fight?
No, you're walking across the street over here. You gotta go to Vegas or wherever it is, huh?
Sure, let's go.
For now, happy day.
