In this informal vlog, two hosts (Speaker A and Speaker B) explore the Alaska State Fair as part of the Great American Farm Tour. They highlight the fair’s record‑breaking produce, including a 81‑lb cabbage (third place) and a 1,231‑lb pumpkin (first place), as well as oversized zucchini, beets, cauliflower, and other vegetables. The duo also tours other fair attractions such as tractor pulls, dahlias, chick hatching, and a beeswax‑candle‑making demonstration. Interspersed throughout are light‑hearted family banter with “Grandma” and references to a companion named “Mr. Brown.” The vlog concludes with a trip to Beluga Point to try spotting whales; none are seen, and the hosts wrap up the day, promising future videos about Alaskan farming. The tone is conversational, enthusiastic, and family‑oriented, with repeated excitement over the giant produce and the quirky fair experiences.

Oh, kiss the cabbage. Can anybody say wow? Wow!
Can you say wow? Wow! Let's hear it, Grandma.
Wow! It had the window down. We are in Alaska, but here's what we're gonna do. Yesterday we went to the Alaska Fair, saw some of the biggest cabbages in the world. Today for the Great American Farm Tour, we begin our adventures in Alaska. We're at the Alaska State Fair on the hunt for some of the biggest vegetables in the world. I've heard because it can be daylight up to 22 hours here in the summer, the vegetable grows gigantic. Even though they don't have a long growing season, the vegetables grow huge. Let's go see it.
Thank you. Enjoy the fair.
What do you guys hope to get out of the fair? I don't know. What about tractors? Where's Mr. Brown at? Mr. Brown, look at all the tractors. You died and gone to heaven, buddy. So how cold is it out here? What does it feel like?
North Carolina totally feels like fall.
It feels like late, late October.
Yeah.
Look, Mr. Brown, they're doing tractor pulls. There he goes, Mr. Brown. He's pulling that load, Mr. Brown. All right, you like that, Mr. Brown? He can't take his eyes off of it.
These are pretty amazing flowers. Dahlias.
They almost look fake.
I know. Don't touch the flowers. I just saw the sign. Don't touch the flowers.
I think we found the big boys. Cabbage.
Uh-oh. No.
I didn't believe it. I didn't believe it about this cabbage. A 67-pound cabbage? I don't know. 67 pounds. Third place, 81 pounds. How many scrambled eggs and cabbage could you have with that?
We would eat that for like weeks. It's crazy.
Give it a kiss. Oh, should I? Oh, kiss the cabbage. You said you would. Oh, come on now.
I don't know if anybody else has kissed that cabbage. Hold this.
Don't worry, people ain't walking around kissing a cabbage. I see you looking around to see who saw that.
Crazy, that's a lot of slaw.
Monster cabbages. 81 pounds, guys. 81 pounds. What's this? Oh my gosh. What is this? What is this, Grandma?
First place. Oh my goodness. North Pole, Alaska. 1,231 pounds. Guess it's a pumpkin.
A pumpkin. That's one pumpkin. Half a ton. How many pumpkin pies is that? Whoa. Look at the cauliflower. 7 pounds.
10-pound zucchini.
Wow. A 10-pound zucchini.
12 pounds.
The beets, Mom. The beets. Over here. Crazy beets. What do you think, Mr. Brown? Is that something else?
Is that something else, buddy?
Okay, let's see what else they got. I guess that's what you'd have at the Alaska State Fair.
Is that a reindeer?
Look, the chicks are hatching, guys. Well, look how tiny.
Get in way in there. See the little quail?
They're little chickies.
Yeah, yeah, keep shifting on me.
You're gonna You can make a candle?
Yes.
You can make a candle?
You have beeswax and a wick for your candle. Flip it over and then keep rolling. I want to make these at home. So I'm like gathering information.
Does that come processed to you?
Yeah, you can buy these on Amazon.
Wow, good job. That's your tricky part. Oh, good job. Awesome. All that was just straight up beeswax.
Yeah, it's like made into sheets or whatever. Then you just roll it. I've seen this before. I thought it was really neat.
How's it feel to be reunited with your folks?
Oh, it's fun. It's been, it's been a real fun afternoon.
Isn't it kind of weird to be with familiar people in a very unfamiliar place?
Yes, that's so strange to be in a very unfamiliar place with people that we know very well.
Good to have some help with Mr. Brown.
Yeah, it's been fun. Honestly, I think that Alaska is going to be saved by Grandma being here because Mr. Brown, like when we were in the airport, was like, I want to go back to Maple! And we were kind of like, oh boy, it's gonna be a while till you go back. But since Grandma's been here, it's like She doesn't even like notice that we're in this crazy different place.
Well, we did what we came to do. We kissed the big old cabbage. The biggest cabbage I think we'll ever see in our life.
Yep.
It was a good day.
It was.
We're gonna have a blast in Alaska. Yes. See all kinds of stuff.
Yep.
Only Grand Adventures lay ahead. Today we're gonna go see— what are we gonna do? We're gonna go see if we can see some whales.
Is that right, Grandma?
Beluga Point. Beluga Point in Alaska. Alaska. Let's see if we can see some whales. Okay, let's see the train. We're ahead of the train here. Come on, come on, everybody out, everybody out! Come see it quick! Look at the people, wave to the people.
Look at them, they're eating.
That's nice. It is.
I know, we might have to do that. We're there, guys, we're at the Baluga Point.
This is where we're supposed to be able to see some whales. Any whales? Anybody? Anybody? What we lack in whales, we sure do make up in beauty. Hey, wait, have we give up? Yeah. No whales? No whales today. All right, we're going back. Gonna wrap the vlog up here tonight. We'll have a meetup, so if you guys are interested to see what folks are growing in Alaska, stay tuned for that video. Right here, right down there. There it is, there it is! We were done looking, driving along, and as we were driving, we saw people pulled over.
We know now I'm becoming a very good tourist, and here we are. We people gather, it means there's, there's wildlife. And so there it was, we got out there. It was so neat.
