Victor Justin Rhodes documents a day of homestead work: building a 16-foot cattle-panel hoop over the chicken run to winterize it, burning hurricane debris, fixing the boiler, and clearing the property. He apologizes for earlier lost audio and shares updates on feeding animals and daily tasks.

That's better.
That'll do for 30 minutes. Apology right off the top of the vlog. Happy day. I filmed the entire day. No audio. It's frustrating to me even more than it is you, I'm sure. Okay, the mic was plugged in but not all the way. I don't even figure out till tomorrow's vlog, so I'm almost done with it. I caught it then, thankfully. Testing now, testing now. And did what I call narration, what I'm doing now, to try to tie in and talk about some of the things I did, because it's very important what I did in today's vlog. In the start of the chicken hoop, could get my chickens in the front yard in the winter, which would be easier to tend to them and demo how others around the country, you guys, could— well, world, um, winterize your chickens, make them happy pretty easily. We continue to burn the brush pile. We needed a goal to burn it that day because beautiful one— I mean, after what's happened with the hurricane and her mom and now the fires in LA, and then we're starting a fire, and even though we're in a temperate rainforest and it just rained She's not sleeping well with knowing that there's a, you know, fire left over. We got to burn this today. We lit it in 3 places. I went and commented about the boiler saying you haven't seen much about it because it's working. And when things are working, they just don't tend to be that interesting, do they? So they haven't made the vlog. Jonah upped the game and started to grade. We can start seeing a field underneath the rubble that was what Hurricane Helene did to us. In another event, Hurricane Helene did not help this gardening bed, but it was beginning to rot even though it was cedar. I think it is like 6 years old. Now to the hoop idea. So I just slapped it together with a, a 16-foot cattle cattle panel. The idea will be to put a hoop of cattle panels over the chicken run, the compost corner, and in the winter greenhouse plastic on it, and in the summer grow viney things like pumpkins and give the chickens shade. I think it's gonna work, so we're gonna pursue it this week. I'm gonna feed the animals and play with Henry, check on the fire. It's doing good. I think we're on track. We make dinner. The beautiful one makes me some coffee, and I thought it was just a fun ending to just sip a little Coffee with decaf and say happy day.
