The video documents the second day of a family staycation at Deep Creek near Bryson City. The family—parents, children (Henry, Lily, Joe), and friends (Rebecca, Gideon, etc.)—spend the day tubing on the river. The transcript captures informal, on‑the‑spot dialogue as they decide who will join the tubing, prepare food (BLTs), recall past vacations, and navigate the river’s white‑water sections. The speakers comment on safety (sandals, lap‑riding), describe the river’s features (midway mark, whitewater, waterfall), and share playful banter and encouragement. The narrative is a casual, diaristic recount of the outing, highlighting family dynamics, spontaneous humor, and the enjoyment of being in nature.

Day 2 staycation, Bryson City tubing, and nobody's here. Give it all to ourselves. Tuesday, time to go back to school.
It's time to come.
Nope, getting out. BLTs, here you go, Mom. You first, extra bacon.
Thank you.
Henry, make your decision. You staying with Mom and playing in the creek, or are you going with us? Okay, you stay with Mom. Have fun. That's a tube full of cars. We're going back. I think everybody had a good time. I said to Rebecca, who's who stayed back, who went with the kids on tubing out of her mom and dad. She said we all went. We were the same basic age. I said, come on, I brought one for you. Henry will ride in my lap.
Did we lock the car?
Uh, I doubt it. So this one's for Brubette, which is Bruce and Beth combined. Rebecca used to vacation here when she was a little girl. Yeah, she actually introduced me to this place, who's from here.
We stayed near Bryson City one year, and it was like in October, so there was nobody tubing, but somebody told us in the town that that's one of the big industries here. Yeah, and so my parents were like, oh, we have to come back. And so we did. We used to come back.
Midway mark. It gets whitewater-y up past this. I think the beautiful one and Henry are gonna wait down here for us. Y'all wait here, we'll be back.
We're gonna play in the The water over here. Henry, you want to play over here?
I don't— I never did fall off. Really? You all right barefoot? Do you not have no sandals?
I do, but I don't want to wear them down this. I'm going to lose them.
All right, yeehaw! We are on the water. Good to be in the woods and the fresh water. I got stuck. Dang it, how'd they get in the right place? All right, the name of the game is get as many shots as I can of them. I'll weigh this down this This whitewater section. Deep Creek. Uh-huh.
Uh-huh. Hi, are you pushing me away?
Look, how'd we get going this way? Well, they just passed me. Oh, still got Gideon behind me.
Here we go. Whoa!
Hey, wait, wait! There are yards ahead. They're hundreds of yards ahead of me. Don't wait! I think because they are light, they don't bottom out. No, wait, let me get past you. Let me get past you.
Wait!
See, I give up. There we go. They're too fast. All right, now I got two hands. Let's do this. Here's the wild one, Henry. Are we gonna make it through this one, Henry? All right, I'm gonna put you on your chest. It looks scary. Somehow I missed it. There it goes.
Whoa!
Joe, you can make it this time. Lily going to make it. She got dumped. You okay?
Yeah. Are they coming?
Oh boy. See if we can't get them going down this waterfall. Here we go. I get it.
All right, get in.
Henry and Mama, there they go. That was the highlight of my trip, baby.
Keep saying that.
Good pick, good pick.
Why did I pick it for me?
I picked it for you. Good pick. All right, everybody have a good time.
