We Rented a Tesla and It’s Sickening Fast

In this informal family vlog, the host (Speaker B) weaves together several storylines over a single day. The video opens with farm chores, where the family captures and prepares a pig named Polly and her calf for a veterinary follow‑up, discussing logistics like cages, bedding, and transport. The host then shifts to a personal health segment, describing a two‑week strict carnivore elimination diet and a Zoom call with two doctors—Dr. Ken Berry, a pro‑carnivore physician, and Dr. Liburd, a functional‑medicine gut specialist—who debate the diet’s impact on inflammation, cholesterol, and overall health. After the health talk, the group rents a Tesla for a father‑son road trip to Charleston, exploring the car’s features: keyless entry, supercharging, autopilot, and the instantaneous acceleration that leaves the family amazed. Throughout, the vlog blends humor, family banter, and spontaneous reactions, highlighting the excitement of trying a high‑performance electric vehicle for the first time while also touching on farm life and dietary experimentation.

Hey, Emmy!
I'm in between him and the door. All right. Yep, outside. That's sign language for outside. There you go. You got it. We've done outside, eat, drink. You're looking at me with interest. Oh yeah, and what's nursing? My favorite. Are you outside? Winnie, what are you doing? We've got you some lamb leg and some organ meat. Come on, come on, eat that. Not bad. There you go. Hey, you ready?
Yeah.
John and I are going on a very special trip. I've been looking forward to this probably over 10 years. We had to rent a car, so we thought let's rent something cool. Well, it was his idea, like a Tesla. What made you want to rent a Tesla?
Well, I just wanted to see what it was like.
You think it'll be as fast as your electric bike?
It'll be faster.
Oh, look, put the fat chicks in the compost corner. My mentor first did this with his kids when they turned 13. He took them on a trip, just him and his boys, and then when the daughter turned 13 The mom took it, and it's got to be a big special coming-of-age type of becoming-a-man type of event. Why'd you choose Charleston?
Because it was close and there was a lot of activities there that I wanted to do.
Yeah, you're big on water activities like fishing, like we're gonna go kayaking in the ocean, and what else?
There's other things.
Okay, who knows what we'll get into. Look at these blueberries.
It's like they're from all over.
Bumper crop of blueberries this year. This your idea?
Yeah.
A gate, a temporary net. We've got to capture Polly and her calf, which is going to be impossible, her calf, because the vet's coming tomorrow for the follow-up test. They've been sold and they've been having to— they've had to be tested for disease. Put that in there sideways. We got to see if the pig crate can fit in here. Mom's gonna meet me at the end at Jessica and Jeremiah Sowers Roots and Refuge. They're buying the pigs from us. Rebecca, is this all right, just putting a bunch of hay in the bottom of this thing?
I would feel better if we had something else.
I don't—
that's not gonna fit in the back of my car.
She's worried about urine. What about that? A trough? Definitely not gonna stay in that. Hey, there's a, uh, Smaller cage. She said, what if we put a brute toe in it? That one's probably too small. That one might be big enough. What about this or that one? That's, that's what I'm thinking. Which, the big one?
That's the one in your hand.
I think it's too big for this one, but it might fit in that other one. Maybe not. It'd be like perfect. Holy smokes, Becky. Yeah, that's perfect.
And then it'll hopefully stay in that toe and there's some urine in it.
Dude, that's going to be like a perfect situation. Get him in there. Oh no, but does this fit in the Suburban? You got it. Yeah, it's perfect. Let's put some wood shavings in there for bedding for it.
Take it over there.
Yeah, get it over there.
I don't want to leave it in here.
I think you can catch a pig, just you and Josiah, farm sitter. Yeah, they're gonna practice catching a pig. Nice, that was easy. Mom don't even care. Yeah, you gotta get Mom eating. Interesting move today. They're right here on the side of the yard. We're gonna go through the yard and over into that paddock, but not just anywhere in there, over there to the right. There, let's funnel it a little bit. Here they come already. That's good. How do they know what to do? Look at this, she knows. Look at this, she's going right there. Let's see if she goes there by herself. No, you gotta steer her a little bit. I think she knows. Oh, we didn't want Polly. Who opened the gate?
Me, you told me to.
Oh no, no, I didn't mean to tell you that. Flossie too. She's gonna be tricky to get back. Man, they're nailing that clover. I wish you wouldn't walk over the fence and get your hook in it.
Papa, careful!
Good, these are where they're supposed to be. Now we have to get them where they're supposed to be. I know the clover is amazing. Come on, let's go, let's go! Come on, wrong way. It's easy to get them over, it's not easy to get them back.
There you are.
Probably easier to let Flossie and Polly be herded together. Look at them. Here they come. Good deal. We got our trailer set up. We gotta get Polly in. Vet's coming. You guys be ready for the vet tomorrow, Josiah. That said, all we got to do is get them in a, in a stall and they'll handle it from there. I want to avoid all the drama I can, so implementing some more intense management. Not used to rope haltering either, but at least she can't run off. And she's going easy. There we go. Good girl, good girl. Let's get them out. It's easy to get them out. The vet will thank us. Luke and Josiah will thank us too because you'll get to milk Polly in the stanchion. One of them is a tubercle. Look. Losis test. So they do a test, they do something when they're here, and they kind of have to come back in 3 days. So we'll just keep them here.
They get the view of the nice green grass.
Lily, this was so kind of you. That was my coupon from redeeming a gift coupon. This is going to be interesting. Jonah going to town, me being a carnivore. Don't worry, he's only called my name slightly. The smell. As long as you keep them put away, a lid over them, I'll be good. It's been 2 weeks since I've been sore, so there's something— there was a real good week, couple weeks there, mid-January-ish, where you were really strong. Oh look, he asked for the pull-up bar. What's this about? Oh, just spinal decompression. Since we're inside, I think I know what you're gonna do. So nothing too exciting. No, no, no, just hold on. Breathe. Supposed to try to feel it in your back. Yeah, yeah. So imagine I'm pulling right here, separating your pelvis from your spine. We're gonna do a Zoom call. This is gonna be so interesting. Uh, my doctor and Dr. Ken Berry, MD, who's more in favor of like the carnivore diet, so We're gonna just kind of have, uh, two different ideas and come together and see what's best for me. This will be basically a look at all the typical questions that you might expect somebody who— this is my lunch: eggs, red meat, some fish. We're gonna do it over here, make sure we get distractions from the kids. Dr. Liburd is my, she's my functional medicine doctor. This is a new idea for her because she's big, she's like a gut girl, you know, she's all about the gut. Just wants to make sure I'm in good gut health on a diet like this, that my, any of my blood test numbers aren't alarming considering I am somebody who eats, well, right now all meat, but when I took the test mostly meat. It's kind of hard for me to deny how good I'm feeling right now doing this. I've only been doing it 2 weeks. I can expect other symptoms to come away. It hasn't addressed my other 4 symptoms now. You know, my back's less stiff, but, uh, that's it for now. I'm not going to bullcrap you guys. I want to bring to the table, you know, some of what, uh, Libret's concerns are and maybe what some of the blood tests say that Might be some red flags. You want to carry that, Dr. Liebert? Yeah. Well, really, I'm here, Dr. Ken, just to learn your perspective on how meat, particularly a meat-heavy diet, impacts the endothelium, particularly inflammation. Just wrapped it up with two brilliant doctors. I think one thing we concluded— you guys know I'm on this 60-day, uh, basically it's carnivore, strict carnivore, but it's basically an elimination diet. So at the end of that, if I'm feeling better, uh, my symptoms are better than where— when I started, we'll start introing things, but we're going to intro things like yogurt. You know, we're not going to go like to peanut butter, you know what I'm saying? And, uh, my doctor would like to see, uh, more fruits and veggies. I'm, I am comfortable certainly with fruits, and what a lot of people think of as veggies like cucumbers and squash and pumpkins, technically fruits. Even tomatoes, you know, peeled and deseeded and cooked down can be less inflammatory. These are some of the takeaways Uh, we've got— if you guys want to listen to that, it's basically my doctor, great doctor, more in line with Rebecca, say, uh, into the organic fruits and vegetables. Dr. Ken, a little bit of that, but mostly meat. So it's interesting to see two brilliant people, two doctors, uh, kind of go back and forth on cholesterol numbers and things like that. LDL, if you you guys don't know what I'm talking about, you probably know if you listen to the podcast. I'm gonna put it up, I'm gonna put it up in Abundance Plus, so you're welcome to see that under the video podcast channel on Abundance Plus. So go and enjoy abundanceplus.com, and I'll leave the link in the description. Oh, the Tesla's here!
Hey, your car's here.
Where do I charge it at?
Charger? You can supercharge it.
Charge it in my house?
Yeah.
Oh, nice.
Sorry, sorry, my English is— That's okay.
Where are you from?
Moldova. Ukraine. Moldova.
Okay. Is this your— you rent out a bunch of cars, or is this just middle name? Your one car?
Russian name.
Yes.
Oh, it is?
Oh, nice.
You, you can put in regular, uh, regular.
Okay, nice. Thanks.
And this one, I put a check and open, close.
You want to get on the other side, Jonah? I don't know how to open this door. Go! There we go.
So your key. Okay, this is the key.
Yeah. Okay, that's a trip. Okay, what do I do with it? Just sit there? Okay.
Over there. All right, that's it. Uh, everything is here.
Wow.
9 meters. This one, everything is here, you know.
Oh, it just showed that he opened the door. How did it turn that off?
Ah, no, off. Okay, yeah, push the brake.
Push the brake and it's off. 209 miles.
Yeah, right now it's gonna be full.
And then when I charge it up, is it what, 15 minutes?
Uh, no, 4 Full battery, 30 minutes of going.
Okay, all right, thanks. You open, close right there. Wow, okay, okay. Country boys trying a Tesla first time. I can't get in. Oh, it's up there. Great.
This is so confusing.
Okay, put it there. There it is. I don't know what you did. Did we even turn the wipers on? I don't know, dude. That's automatic, man. Just turned on the defrost. Look, Netflix, TikTok, YouTube.
You can't get on it though.
It's all there. What, you can't?
Oh, you're unavailable when parked or on autopilot.
Okay, they do. They have TikTok. Look, look, that's crazy. Do you swipe it? Yep. Your phone— it's trying to tell me about this. He's like, you can charge your phone on this thing right there.
Here you go.
No noise. It's weird.
Oh, you can like hear everything.
Okay, shall we see what it's got?
Yeah.
Whoa!
Oh my gosh!
I'm gonna push you against the seat.
Oh my gosh, we were in a spaceship!
So fast!
That is—
it slows down when you let off the pedal. It brakes for you. That's crazy.
Which one's yours?
Uh, give me that juicy one. You can put some butter on it. Oh yeah, Dr. Ken Berry said I could do butter. It's low, low chance of, I guess, inflammation. Rebecca, Jason, look at this cardboard robot. Henry's into it. Let's see you walk. Hey Rebecca, you gonna go on the Tesla? After dinner, I want to take— I want to drop your belly.
Yes, you're not dropping my belly.
Yep, I won't do it. Yep, it doesn't take much. I can do it right here on this road. Lots of butter. His plate, her plate. Dinner was good. We're gonna test the Tesla. All right, here we go, Beck. You ready? And what's crazy, when you take your foot off the gas, it stops you. You tell me when you want me to go fast.
Can you just do it quick? Oh my God, oh my God, oh, it feels so good, so fast.
I'm not a fan. I am.
It's crazy, it's crazy, it goes so fast. It feels like, almost feels like a— Changed my mind about the power of electric It feels almost like when you're taking off an airplane. Oh yeah. That's why maybe I don't like flying. Maybe that's one of the reasons.
