This is a YouTube vlog-style family video titled "We Went to The Fair then Made all the “Junk” Food at Home" (created 2025-09-09, last edited 2026-04-10). The excerpt captures an informal, diarized family conversation with multiple participants identified as SPEAKER A (an adult who appears to be a parent/grandparent), Austin, Lily, Henry, Gideon, Waylon, Josiah, Rebecca and another speaker (SPEAKER D). The content documents a trip to a fair (rides, exhibits, a big pumpkin), planning and preparing fair-style foods at home (gluten-free/organic burgers, waffle fries, onion rings, donuts, etc.), and personal remarks by SPEAKER A about fasting to treat psoriasis/inflammation, upcoming birthdays, and family dynamics (quarantine comments, kids’ reactions). Tone is casual, conversational, and vlog-like.

Happy day! How do I look? How do I look? Henry and Gideon dressed up for the fair, and Lily— you know, just Henry and Lily and I said, well, we should dress up too. And plus, I've lost 7.5 pounds in just 3.5 days fasting till I get better. Psoriasis, uh, inflammation in my body. Inflammation is almost there. Psoriasis, here we come. Okay, Austin, pull it up from how many years ago was that? A lot of many years ago.
9.
9 years ago. We're going to the fair.
We're going to the fair! We're going to the fair!
Okay, now we all got all y'all plus Henry now. We're going to the fair!
We're going to the fair! We're going to the fair!
Oh, all right. Wait, what? We got teenagers too cold to sing the song? I'm in no mood.
We have teenagers that aren't as excited as they used to be.
Hey, now y'all wanted to go to the fair, didn't ya?
I wanted to go.
I'm excited. All right, ride the praying mantis. It's just the mantis, pops. Go upside down. Yeah, but I gotta be the dorky dad and misname it. After the fair, we're going to make fair food. French fries. Well, they're going to be waffle fries from our own healthy ingredients. Onion rings, ice cream, donuts, and sweet tea, and hamburgers. I'm not eating any of it, but I'm gonna be happy for you guys.
I really am. With buns.
Oh, buns. Yes, buns. We don't always do buns. We're doing buns, homemade, gluten-free. They're excited to see Waylon. He's excited to see y'all. We're out of quarantine. He's been asking for y'all every day. You can have— you thought, right? The rides were fun by yourself. Just wait until you ride with your friends. Now that's the fair outfit, the American flag theme.
Oh, they went to the coffee shop!
We guessed it right. We said they ain't there, they went to the coffee shop. Yeah, it looks like— yeah, Henry, give him a hug back. Come on. Yay! We came early to check out the exhibits. The rides aren't open yet. It's not crowded. This is nice, nice wonderful weather. Does you want to go see the big pumpkin?
It is! Right off the bat, you're going for this crazy ride?
Oh, but yeah, I hit this button. They wouldn't let me have it.
Oh man, well, we'll try it on the next one.
You're gonna ride this one?
Do it now before the lines get crazy. I'm not doing it. It's the wildest ride here and also the longest wait.
Should I do it? You gotta do it with him.
He didn't want to do it alone. Josiah and Lily are on there. They wouldn't let them take the camera though.
Here they come. What? They wouldn't let her take it again.
Yeah, I saw you having a good time though. You had a good time? You spoiled now?
That was so fun.
You spoiled now?
Yeah.
Also be careful, guys, cuz it ain't getting no crazier. All right, we're back. Gonna have a shot at our own fair food. Wrapped up the burgers. Let's see what else we got going. She's making gluten-free organic onion rings from the farm. Our onions were a little small this year, but they work. Already fried some fries. This is hard. I need to get out of here. I helped cook, but I think I— we got the majority of it going.
I think I can step out.
I'm not as tempted as I have been in previous fast because it was something I ate. I'm super determined. For whatever reason, I want to heal. I want to be strong for my grandkids. They've been supportive. Everybody's been supportive. Hopefully I don't have to go through Lily's birthday, although I probably will because I'm slow. I'm going to slow to intro things this time.
Yeah, my birthday's in 6 days, and sugar is definitely on the suspect list.
That would be a huge celebration if I knocked this psoriasis out by her birthday.
Oh yeah, 10 days.
My birthday's in—
that would be 2-week fast.
Knock it out. I'll be shouting it from the rooftops. 6 days. Well, I've been fasting already. This will be 4th day tonight. Somebody likes it. He'll never know fair food, will he?
Well, none of our kids do.
Rebecca knows fair food. Oh, back in the day, used to give her a $20 budget. We'd go to the fair to eat. I'd never eat it because it was always expensive.
Yeah, it was too expensive for you, but it's always frugal. I cannot imagine how much money it would cost.
$40 is the new $20, probably.
If we, if we all went to the fair and ate a meal and then had a dessert, it would be like $300.
It would, yeah.
And it would, it would make us all feel horrible.
And this is organic, gluten-free, and definitely not $300. That looks so good. I hope you're enjoying that for me. How much was the sucker for burgers? I hope to God it's not beef. It'll be a long time before I have one of those buns and onion— the onion ring batter. Those are high suspects. Potatoes too. Tomatoes too. Tomatoes and potatoes are top on the list suspect. That was a bonus vlog. Didn't think I was gonna film. I was gonna do the vlog just to get him and Waylon together on a ride. Did you film one? I did. I got it.
All right.
Yeah, so Austin, you probably already showed it, but let's bring that in for the final goodbye here. Happy day. Show that one more time.
