Papa, can you please get my clothes?
Hey, really? Look, I'm about to leave. I just put my apron on. You've been sitting here.
Go get my clothes, please.
I didn't think you wanted to go. Hey. Come on, you're gonna help if you want to go, okay? I think we just did your laundry. All right, you start putting these socks on. Okay, I'm gonna walk away if you're not gonna help, okay? Because I'm already running late. All right, there's your underwear. I have a big feeling all your stuff is at the, uh, hay pile. Yeah, it's not in here. Here's your coat, you can just wear that. Pants probably in here. No. Yes. Let's go. If you want to go, let's go.
Amigos, that means friends. And also guess what Ola means.
Come on. Where do you think your shoes are? I know exactly where 8 of your shoes are. Where? Down at the hay fort. There's a whole bucket of shoes right here. He's only got tennis shoes and your pink shoes. All right, I gave him your pink shoes.
Damn, we're having to wear my boots again. Thanks.
You're welcome. We still gotta find your snow boots and your rain boots. Are your rain boots ruined? Come on, other foot, other foot. I'm working on this one. Let's do this one. There. Hey, Lily, there's a rubber boot right there, and then there's the other rubber boot. Okay, now don't you get started losing your shoes. All right, come on, get in. Let's go.
Dad, can I jump to you?
Sure.
Because my boots hurt.
Come on. Somebody made a sandbox with our grain. Hop in, Gideon. Oh snap, the bucket. Well, let's carry this out and then get the bucket. Can you move your feet out of the way?
Yeah, there you go.
Yeah, boy, they didn't wash their pants yesterday. Let's get the, the dirty pans too while we're at it since we're behind. They didn't— ah, they're so hungry. I'm just climb over that. All right, grab two of those pans, will you, Lily? Oh, they cleaned that nice. We'll get that filled up today and then I'll have to mess with water. Let's come up with a plan. Let's open the door. They'll go out, but I'll have the feed. They'll follow me back in, okay? And you bring the pans. All right, here they are. Here, bring a pan, Lily. Bring a pan. Why are you running? They won't hurt you. They might hurt me if I don't hurry up and get them this feed. You're crazy. You're crazy. Can you say, "Chonchos is loco." Chonchos loco.
Chonchos loco.
Pigs are crazy.
Daddy and Grandma don't want pigs.
Hey, I'm glad you stayed with me. All right, hopefully the boys have the Cow's down by now. Uh, it's another one of those days. This day, not too excited about though. Okay, here it looks like my procedure for building up my gums for my implants is going awry. The bone's exposed, the metal—
there's a lid for the water—
the metal to hold that plate in place is exposed. See, Mikey said this could happen. We hoped it wouldn't. Uh, we're gonna go get checked out. Oh, he did bring the cows! Jonah! Josiah! They get thinking they're done. Hey, good morning, y'all. Can you hand me the— what are you doing, man?
Eating a little snack. You weren't up here.
All right, come on, bring my milk stuff. You got to get on picking up down there.
Okay, I got your cows down here.
Thank you, man. You're my man. Where you going, my man? You gonna play?
Pop our hay barn flats.
Oh, let him associate farm chores with something fun. Then when he's older, he'd be like, ah yeah, this is fun. When he gets involved in the work— pellets are coming tomorrow, but only coming tomorrow afternoon, so we have to make this last 2 days. That's not a whole bunch. Give them one scoop of— Good morning! Give them one scoop of alfalfa.
Okay. Good morning!
I'd rather give them too little— Oh, let's not spill any of it. Let me do it. I'd rather give them too little than run out. Wow, thank you, Miss Glossy. Probably around 2 gallons right there. Jonah, can you switch them out?
There's his shoes. You want to go see the cows?
Whoa, call the Inquirer. He doesn't want to go see the cows.
All right, all right, bye-bye kids, I'm going.
All right, you're in good hands with Anna.
Bye-bye.
All right, Rebecca. Bye-bye, holler house.
Bye-bye.
All right, worst case. Can I see in there?
No, you can't.
You probably don't want to see in there. No, you don't. It's pretty gross.
It's not that bad, but it's—
So— Really graphic. Can I have no emergency surgery? Tomorrow we're leaving.
I know. No, not tomorrow. Friday we're leaving.
Oh, tomorrow's Thursday, but they don't have surgeries until Fridays.
Well, I mean, we're gonna see what he says. So— Hopefully this is just very normal. Glad we came in to get it checked out. Yeah. We'll check it next week or something.
That's right, but it could be— hey, you have to have surgery again. Let's bring you in in a couple of weeks. We'll see. Hey, I don't have to edit because oh my gosh, I edited 2 vlogs yesterday. So, but what we do have to do is come up with some checklists for our trip. Okay, how about you drive? Number 1 on the list. A pin. Well, what's your number one? I was trying to think of something a little more funny, but that's all I could come up with. Okay, we have a good list here. Business, essentials, leisure, self-care, and all kinds of stuff. Kitchen. And the big bold letters, a pen. Okay, so, but we're not done, but we're here, so let's go see what the verdict is.
Got seen by the— the lady, the nurse.
Tell them nurse is here.
No.
What's wrong with me?
She didn't look in there, so we have no hints. No. We just have to wait. No, she didn't. We have to look at the plaques. A lot of weight.
So, we're just waiting. All right, so the dentist was— the oral surgeon was just in here.
He said he's gonna get the metal screw out.
I think he's gonna screw it.
He's going to get the screwdriver. Okay.
Yeah, this is gonna be interesting. How you feel? He said it's just gonna be a tiny pinch.
We'll see. Is he gonna numb me first?
I have no idea.
I can't believe just what happened.
Okay, so he doesn't even know what happened.
He just took a tweezer and pulled Pulled the metal screw out of my gums.
Unscrewed the screw a little bit.
Tell them what happened, darling.
So we went in and, you know, saw him and he looked and he was like, okay, there is a screw. So then he says, I'm just gonna get the screwdriver and unscrew that.
Did he say screwdriver?
Yes, and Justin was like—
I blanked out there.
He's like, um, are you gonna numb me? He's like, no, I think that is—
Yeah, the numbing shot would have been worse.
He's like, it would actually be worse to numb than it would be to get the shot or to just do this, so like, you can do it.
It's gonna be fine. You told him I sat in water 3 minutes.
I know, it's like, you sit in cold water for 3 minutes every day.
Why else am I doing that, right? That's one reason.
You can do it.
So you can be prepared for real stresses.
Exactly, so he was like, okay, so the guy, he, the doctor gets the skirt and he was, it was like 2 turns, like—
Yeah, I get it.
Then he got the little tweezers and brought it out and he looked at it and it looked You know, I guess there wasn't anything on the screw.
So now is that screw out? There's one left. What's gonna happen to me?
So the bone is showing. Well, see, my concern was—
Is that the cadaver bone? To build up my jaw, or is that my real bone?
I don't know. I'm not sure. He didn't necessarily say. So what happened is this. So what he had originally said that he was gonna put titanium mesh to kind of hold it all in.
Yeah.
And then the titanium mesh would become exposed. So when the doctor was like, I think that's bone, and I was like, oh, where's the titanium mesh? But he said just in there that he chose not to put the titanium mesh in because there wasn't enough room. So that is the bone, but he said that the gums are gonna grow up underneath the bone and his body will expel that bone, and maybe it is the cadaver bone. And he didn't say that like, we're— that your body's rejecting it or anything. He said that this sometimes happens with the bigger bone grafts like we are doing. And the reason that he tells us all these things that could happen is because if they happen, then we know, and that you could maybe have another surgery. Yeah, everything— he said that everything looks really good. Um, and he said sometimes like your body just pushes things out like a splinter. And so that's what he thinks happened with the screw, because the other screw is fine. The other screw is just totally fine. So we come back in a couple weeks just for a regular checkup anyways, and he's gonna check then and we'll see what's going on.
Okay.
So good news. It's good news.
We're back.
Look who's here hanging out with me today.
This afternoon he's got giraffe food.
He does.
Is that for the giraffe to eat?
Yeah.
What is that? We got back and— okay, I gotta pull my— I gotta pull my Mr. Rogers hair. Bandy's out. Our sheep— we've been turning our fence off during the day because I don't know, it's not— sun's not out. We don't want to run our battery dead. That's not what I'm looking for. So Mr. Rogers would be appalled here. So we probably need to just always keep that going. I don't know what happened. Let's go see. Let's go. You're gonna go with— help me get Bandy in. Tell me with different words.
Um, I was thinking about it, but I don't have to.
She got it made over there. I was thinking about it too, but then I have to go no matter what.
Well, I gotta go change my clothes. You go put hay in Sally. I'll be ready by then.
Okay, I know where to find the kids. Hey, what kind of fort we got now? Uh, man, so I'll go get the hay out and I'll get the sheep up. You want to do the luchadors and the pigs? Sure. Oh, look who's coming with. Hey, you coming with? My kids are over it. It's raining. Is that your shark? Yeah. Is that a shark? Mr. Brown could also take a lesson from you and putting on his own shoes. Where's Miss Rebecca? Oh, he's got to get his Jeep. Very focused. They want to go with you when they're this age, don't they, Buck? Yay! Rain or shine, right, Rebecca? You changed your mind, Bandy?
Right there, maybe.
Oh yeah, that's— that could be it. Okay, it's come apart at the joint, and because it's not on, I bet she had the gall to jump it. Oh, it is on! It is on! Let's see. The other thing is, maybe she— maybe this was calling us here.
I do, but it is on.
It's not hitting very hard. 2.1. We need to find out where it's grounding out. So this is where I think it's happened. Maybe she could have got through that. Yeah, look, this joint isn't tied together. Are we gonna get them in right here?
Here.
Walk up to the sheep, lead them down this way so Bandy follows them down this way, and then walk out. So here comes Bandy, here comes Bandy, here it goes. It's working beautifully, Beck. Come on, Bandy, we don't want those sheep to come out. Where is she going? Where's she going? Come on, don't you see it? Okay, there you go. All right. Is that doing it? It's like twisted. It could. And it's putting it down here at the ground level, the hot wire. That's better. There it is, hooked on right there to the metal. That'll do it. All right, it was sitting right on that metal post too. What is that doing here? Let's make sure we didn't run our battery today. 13.0. We did not run the battery today. I'll be happy with 6. Whoa, that wasn't 5.5. What's going on here? 5.7. This probably has to do with the connection to my— 5.7, 5.5. Look who's coming right up to you. You don't even have anything. This is good. They know here comes this lady, here comes something good. Look at them, they're gonna follow you over there. Maybe before it's over we're walking these guys and we don't need to even put them in the trailer. How about that one, Becky? You all right? Yeah, good. You like this? Yeah, is that something to eat? There you go, big guy. We just installed that hook. That's doing great. How's our mineral feeder tops doing?
Great.
Keeping them— they getting it in there? Oh yeah, yeah, because you're replenishing it and that means they're getting it. You know what's keeping hair and everything out of there?
Yeah.
Hey guys, what are we into? BVC?
I added charcoal to see if they're interested in eating that for each other.
Look, they're letting me pet her. Who is this? This is Belle and Bandy. I won't hurt you. I won't hurt you. You're gonna live a long, happy life here. You like that? You like that ear rub? Watch her lift up the flap herself. Look at that, no problem, Beck. Go ahead. She's looking for the one she wants, which I think is A. They're fat and happy, aren't they? Yeah, she's getting the BBC there. I've already poured that out, guys. It's in your water. Here's little boogers. The calves are right here. We gotta get the calves in here. Now's our chance. Grab that camera, please. Come on, little guy. Come on, Moose.
Come on.
Good job, guys.
You ready to go back?
No, no.
You ready to stay out here and watch the cow? Baby cow. Did you say baby cow?
No.
Can you say baby cow? Say baby cow.
