Today we get ready for tomorrow. Actually, what we're gonna do tomorrow will definitely be one of the first times we've ever done this, anything like it, on this channel. Actually, that's pretty gross. I'm gonna need to get it down to a brush and wash this thing out. Oh wow, starting to really rain. Oh, hey there, bird. We got to clean your water periodically. Do you know where the, uh, where the brush is?
I did the chicks.
Oh, thank you.
I gave them grass, I gave them grits, I gave— let's check over water, and I did their grain.
Well, let's check over them in a minute. Let's first get your water. Where's the brush? Jonah just cleared a bunch of brushes. That's not where I keep the brush, but I'll take it. I feel so blessed by this community. Rebecca and I were on a hard time once, and this business has thrived, and it's It's because of you guys. It's all our lovely customers, all our lovely viewers. Come up a little closer. I think you can get out this close maybe without getting rain on you. Still under the pavilion. And so kind of on behalf of the community, let's bless somebody's socks off. It's not raining in here, so we're gonna have to water mom's plants. Super dry in here. It's been on mine and Rebecca's heart for a while to find a family that, you know, that's working hard but could maybe use a little help. So there's actually a family in our member area doing the best they can in North Carolina. Had a big thriving homestead, but then he got cancer and he's struggling with it, and they've had to downsize. And so we're like, yeah, let's go help them for a day. How are we doing in here? Any more casualties? No? You filled up their water nice. You filled up their water nice. Feed needs to be filled up, it looks like. All they know is that we're coming to help them, that we're filming for the vlog, that we're filming for our show Rooted. They don't know that we're bringing the hollers, that we're bringing the Contrerases, that we're bringing Farm Life Outfitters, that we're bringing money to give to them, that we're going to shout out their GoFundMe. I mean, they're excited enough. We're just going to come help them for half a day. They are a long way away. They're about 3 hours away. They don't know that we're gonna give them a Premier One kit for their chickens. They have an idea that we're bringing plants, but I don't think they know that we're bringing this many plants. I mean, we went to the plant sale yesterday. We had to take the trailer. They know we're bringing the string trimmer and that Jonah's— we're going to help tidy it up. Needless to say, tomorrow is going to be exciting. And sure, I'm blessing them, but I want you to guys know that Really, you guys are blessing them because you blessed us so much and we're just giving back. So today is a big day of getting ready for tomorrow. Like, this is going to be empty. Arun might not know where the other feed bag is or that we even have another feed bag. Arun will be staying and doing our chores. Josiah and Lily will be staying. We have ordered 1,000 pounds. Until then, we've got a store-bought bag. Mr. Brown, why are you out here in a towel? Okay, cuz this is gonna be the last of our clean jars. I wasn't this last Friday, but the Friday before last we lost a rubber ring to our cream separator and we have to wait on the new one all the way from the Czech Republic. We've used all our jars. We've got quart jars. I do have my water. My water mix. So I'll just pour that into a quart. We'll have this. I found this, which is like a breakfast sausage mix herb, so we can transfer that to a smaller jar. Oh, here's some dirty milk jars. Some sutter or molded fire starter I'll pull out, and then here's some milk.
Can I clean up the house by myself?
Really?
Yeah, I don't like to clean up with—
You're asking for permission? Sure, you can clean the house by yourself. Let's see if we have any other jars. Wow, there's a huge gallon jar. What in the world? Nothing in it. Okay, any of these things could be consolidated? No. Wait, we've hit the jackpot! 3 jars, 3 gallon jars. Here's what's going on. Look at all the milk. Milk, milk, milk, milk, milk, milk, milk. More milk. We are starting to pack our lunch for tomorrow and snack. You see anything else in there? Gideon, we're getting ready to explode the kitchen. We've got a chicken to cook for a chicken and a salad. Tomorrow we're going to steam some eggs, Cut up cheese, all kinds of crazy stuff. It's a lot. Josiah watched him go to sleep. He's asleep now and he's, he's great. All right, now's our chance to really get some work done while Henry's asleep. We've packed the diaper bag, all except some pacifiers. We are doing disposables for the trip. Jonah got Henry out. He has woke up. Yeah, Mom's gonna need him. That was a good run. I mean, we only got so much done because we're waiting on Whole Foods delivery. We do have the chicken in, got a little bacon in for lunch. We're gonna designate an area in our fridge for stuff to quickly throw in the cooler tomorrow. So far we just have cheese. Here's another thing they don't know. We've been saving these— you know, we get these fish orders, or, uh, we're low on grass-fed beef, so we'll get these orders. We've been saving these coolers. 1, 2, 3, 4. So I ended up with 5. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Rebecca did find out if they have freezer room, so they're probably on to something, but we're gonna load them up. They normally do meat chickens but just aren't going to be able to process them this year, everything that's going on. So that's gonna be— that's gonna be nice.
I think you took the Burn It Up Cooking Show to the next level.
I know, right? Can you tell this camera, like, how crazy it is?
That's where it's coming from.
Henry's back Beck, how do you feel like we're doing on this?
It was raining so thick. I think we're doing all right. It was raining a lot thicker than this.
You cannot even see. I need to get a granola bar recipe. If it wasn't for Jonah, I would make granola bars with him today. Oh my gosh. Go get me the computer, please. He's gonna be a snack heaven. You on the granola duty? I am. Okay, I'm gonna be load the trailer duty while we have a break in the weather. I like it. Might as well bring all this, Jonah. Even the extra? Yeah, you never know. We could trim their bushes, who knows. Did our plants survive the monsoon? It looks like they did. That's good for them. They're about to go through stress getting moved and then transplanted. They could take all the water they can get. Look at this blowing rain. Let me fill up Sally. String trimmer fuel, extra battery for their Energizer battery tester, string trimmers, leaf blower, hand tools, mucho post hole puller in case they need that. Couple camping chairs to hang out in, spade shovels, brand new, uh, brand new energizer for their fence, brand new fence under all that, bunch of shop tools. Gosh, a chainsaw. They can throw anything at us they want and we're gonna get it done, except handheld hoeing. I cannot find either one of my two very nice handheld hoes. I guess all the hoes I'm talking about are handheld. I guess I'm talking about a shorter, like, that are going to be good for raised beds since they have like 14 we're gonna need to cultivate. That might be fun to take, the weed, the weed flame weeder. Do you know where my DeWitt little handheld hoe is? Either one of them? $10 cash money if you find that hoe. I got a bounty on the hoe. Whole foods have come, so let's finish packing for our snacks. We've got the inside situated. I won't say done, but let's go ahead and put these plants in before supper. She wants to know if this stuff is going to like fall on her plants. Well, Jonah, your scythe, you might need to lay it down. That's a trailer load full of veggies, full of tools. Rebecca has made us a nice salad for supper. Together we made a Italian meatball spaghetti. Rebecca? Yeah? You ready to get up and get out of here by 5? Wake up at 4? No. I'm not ready for that at all. There's the star of the show. Henry! He's having a good time just sitting there. Yeah. Alright. Alright, we'll see you guys tomorrow. I don't think you'll want to miss it. We're gonna bless the socks off of these people. A yawn!
