A farmer watches a severe flood destroy their property in real time. A bridge to their grandmother's house disappears underwater, a container floats away, power lines go down, and their high tunnel floods. They're racing to save the sweep shed before it's next.
It's what you see on the news, not in your backyard. Wow, our bridge to Grandma's is covered. Jump it! Our container has floated away. Oh my gosh, it's just wild. This is dangerous. I guess these power lines are off. What could we put to block it? Put them a toothpick. High tunnel's flooded. Going after our sweep shed is next. Oh, we're about to lose the high tunnel.
If I had to start my Homestead all over again, it could only pick one animal…
