In this vlog‑style update, the creators of the Great American Farm Tour (GAFT) documentary walk viewers through three main points. First, they report on the documentary’s production status, noting that roughly 300 raw video clips are being distilled into a single cohesive film with an anticipated premiere on April 14. They acknowledge personal obstacles—healing from the previous year, establishing a homestead, and limited time—that are being managed to ensure quality. Second, they describe the logistical planning for an exclusive live premiere at Hickory Nut Gap Farm, a local grass‑based farm that supplies their beef. The event will be an all‑day affair featuring a two‑hour meetup, dinner with farm‑sourced food, a screening of the documentary, and a post‑screening Q&A with Rebecca. Details include a large barn venue, a bring‑your‑own‑chair policy for up to 500 attendees, projected screens, speaker system, and a seating capacity of about 450. Third, they highlight family‑friendly activities such as monster‑truck‑sized tricycles, culvert slides, a petting area with goats, and a farm store offering beef, pork, and chicken. The video also names several community members and contributors—Art, Bree, Jeff, Stacy, “Big Daddy,” Grandma, Papaw, and Miss Christy—who will be present at the event. Throughout, the speakers convey enthusiasm for delivering a high‑quality documentary and creating an engaging, community‑focused premiere experience.

In this video, I'm going to talk to you about 3 things. First, I'm going to update you on the progress of the Great American Farm Tour documentary. Then I'm going to talk to you about some of the obstacles we're overcoming to make that happen and get it done. And then I'm going to invite you to an exclusive live premiere event. The problem is we're having to spend a lot of time and energy healing ourselves from last year, establishing a homestead, finding time to do this. but also valuing that time and doing a really good job by it. I don't want to skimp on this. I want to do a really good job by it. Our estimated release date, premiere date, is April 14th. But I am making great progress. Actually, I want to show you just a little bit of clip of something I worked on very recently.
Today I'd like to dive into more about how they're actually doing this, and what better way to do that than with a 10-year-old— that's Stella— running the milking operation. Step number 1, bring in a couple of cows. Step number 2, finagle the stubborn cow into the stanchion. Wash off the teats.
Connect your—
hey, what do you call these?
Uh, I don't know.
Milk machines.
Connect your milk machines.
Do you guys come out and help milk the cows?
No, you came out for your boys. Oh, you came out for our Boys, that's just a little bit.
It's a huge project, guys. We're looking at almost 300 videos, condensing down the best of that into one cohesive story. It's insane, and I want to do good by it because there's an amazing story that has come out of it. Now, about the live premiere venue, it's taking place at a local grass-based farm, Hickory Nut Gap Farm. We get a lot of our beef there when we don't have our own. We'll start the event off. It's pretty much an all-day event. We'll start the event off with a 2-hour meetup, but you won't just get to meet us. Art and Bree are going to be there, so the land's going to be there. Jeff and Stacy, the people who built our bus, Big Daddy, Grandma, my dad, Papaw, they're all going to be there. Miss Christy.
We chose this place. This is one reason, this big huge barn. I mean, we're at a farm where better place to have this event than inside of a big barn? There's plenty of room here. There are some tables for our dinner. We lack a little bit in chairs for 500 people, so it's going to be bring your own chairs, but this is going to be cool. We're going to try to hook up a projector screen there, possibly two, and speaker system in here. I think it's plenty dark in here even during the daylight to show up good on the screen. What do you think, Beauty?
Yeah, I think it's —into the barrel.
Huge monster truck-sized tricycles for the kids to play on during the meetup time.
You can shop in the Hickory Nut Gap Farm Store. Beef, pork, chicken, all kinds of good stuff. Then we'll eat together from our favorite local grass-fed beef store who sources their meat from Hickory Nut Farm. Farm Burger there. We'll eat it all together. After that, we'll show the movie and you'll be the first to see it. And after the movie's over, we'll have a live question and answer with Rebecca.
And during the movie, the kids could come out here theoretically if they got bored and go down these amazing culvert slides. Game begin.
Yeah!
Okay, there's a big one up here, Mom. You gonna do it? Oh look, there's a little spider net over there for them to play on. Let's go.
Oh boy. All right. They dirtied it up with their shoes.
I'll just go down on my shoes.
Okay. You want me to go with you? Yeah. Okay. Ready and go with. All right, come on.
You ride in the front.
You ready?
You get ready.
Go, Go look at the goats. I do. You want to race? Yeah, we're racing.
Okay, and if the kids get bored of the slide, they can come over here to the petting area, or at least the viewing area. Some tame goats here.
There'll be thousands of dollars of prizes that we're going to be giving away in a raffle. You'll meet hundreds of like-minded folks. A lot of times, guys, when we go to a meetup, people would come to meet us, but they would go away with friends, and that's what's gonna happen here. Alright, that's it. I would love to hang out with you guys. There's more info about this in the description, more we're gonna give you on that day. But I do want to tell you, there's limited seating. There's like 450 seats, guys, and we can't go over that. So it's a first-come, first-served. I'm leaving this video up until those are sold out, and we're taking it down, we're closing the doors, and you gotta get a ticket to come in. But mind you, if somebody's 3 and under, if they've had their If they haven't had their 3-year-old birthday yet, they're free. So more info like that down in the description.
