GOT A NEW TATTOO DOWN IN TEXAS - Kaleb Sanders House Party Tour Leg #3

The video captures a candid, free‑form conversation among members of Kaleb Sanders’ touring crew, fans, and venue staff during a house‑party style stop in West Texas. The dialogue jumps between logistical details (tour routing through Midland, Odessa, Lubbock, and Stillwater, Oklahoma; a radio meeting at 2:15 pm; monitor and venue sound issues), personal anecdotes (a broken hand from a fight in LA, a bar fight in Oklahoma, a new tattoo and after‑care advice), reflections on the regional music scene (Texas‑country vs. Nashville‑country, the influence of Southwest Radio and artists like Parker McCollum), spontaneous songwriting snippets, and expressions of hospitality from local fans and venues. The speakers discuss the challenges of playing in small, noisy venues, the importance of fan engagement, and the desire to return to the area. The tone is informal, humorous, and enthusiastic, with occasional frustration about technical problems and venue size.

Dude, this is such a cool place. I love it here. Wasted away. Wasted away. I started it up. And we park it like on a slant and I started it up and I didn't realize that it was on such a slant. So the tank said E and I was like, oh shit, because it was coming down because diesel can't run out and that would make this trip a very bad one. How come you have two hoes and where's my hoe? I have a hoe back in the truck. Yeah. Oh yeah. You're from Texas, aren't you? No, no, but I've done a ton of work there. Yeah, that whole Southwest Radio thing, like Parker McCollum came out of, like, that was— yeah, your girl Kelsey set up the Midland. Yeah, she's got her whole crew, and your Odessa fans are coming too, so we've got like the whole— all of West Texas is kind of coming in. Yeah, so I didn't know that there was any fans out there. Yeah, they're there. That's why we're going. Yeah, totally. Got you a radio meeting at 2:15. Okay. In Midland. I feel like we talked about, like, there's a whole format that's broken. Like, Parker Collins, like, a lot of people have kind of come from this area, you know? And so I don't think they're gonna give you the question of like Nashville country versus Texas country. That makes sense. Logically speaking, I can find a good reason why I keep— Oh, shit. What'd you say? F, G, A minor? Okay, Bo, 1 or 0. Ah, fuck. Every time I go to write something down, we hit a huge bump. When you're in the show. Y'all have never seen Bull Durham. I don't know who the hell that is. This is the fifth time we've seen it. We weren't even born in America. I mean— Dude, no, we just weren't born in 1973. I got my pick. I've got my guitar in case we need it. Do you have to put it in a case? What do you think? What's that? Okay. So you brought your guitar. We're gonna get you to do a song. Is that cool? Yeah. Which— but what kind of song? You want fast, happy, easy? This is your life. This is your interview. This is your time. You do you. Alright. I wish there was a book of how to get over you. I'd read it cover to cover. Wish there was a pill I could take to heal a heartbreak. I'd take it over and over. I'd already be over you, kissing somebody new. Wouldn't be missing you sitting here on this bar stool. This bar, this night, this moment in time, I'm trying to get over. Right here, right now, ain't figured it out, but I'm sitting here sipping, trying to get closer. Shot after shot after well whiskey shot, I'm down to try everything that they got. So how long till heartaches drown? Maybe I'll know a couple beers from now. Maybe I'll, maybe I'll know a couple beers from now. I'm just kidding. That is really fucking cool. Is that your truck? It is. Y'all please be careful. Absolutely. Keep me updated. See ya. Bye. Thank you. Nice meeting you. It's been a while since I've been in a room where really nobody gave a shit. Maybe there was a couple people, but like the majority of the room didn't give a shit that there was live music in their town. Yeah. Yeah, like the 20 people that they did bring out, it would have been better just to keep it at the house. Yeah. Go. It isn't like you didn't know who I was when you met me and let me in. You swore to God you'd never do that again, but you still call me and say, "Well, I don't want to spend the night alone. What's the use in running after something already gone?" And you— Who's ready for dinner? Oh, they have titties here? Oh, we can hit the titties, dude. Hey, you and me slept, we can hit the titties. Something like yesterday, yeah, that happens again, if we, if we put it, we're gonna try to avoid that, but if that ever happens again, almost focus on the people in the front, just talk. Yeah, make it like it's a 3-person show in Miami. That way, because if you're playing shows that they want and you're talking to them and you're building that, because what ultimately it was, just, it was not just them, it was them in the front. But we killed their experience by allowing the talking to get involved in the show that they came to see. And we had 20 people there for you. It's my ears, dude. Yeah, I know. Well, it was just something I thought about. I was like, damn, dude, if there was a way, because choosing the wrong venue can hurt not just your experience but the fans. Yeah, that's what I was bothered about the most other than not being able to hear myself. Yeah. Oh, was the monitor not working? No, the monitor was. It was just so loud, like people were just yelling, man. And the louder I sang, the louder they got. Yeah. Hey Marty, you can put the ugliest person in this thing and they still look cute. Because their, because their feet are just dangling. It's the Testicle Fest. It's a 3-day, it's a 3-day event every year, but I mean, you're not there all 3 days. The calf ride, is that in Stillwater you said, or is that near in Oklahoma? It's in Oklahoma, it's in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Tumbleweeds Dance Hall, Stillwater, Oklahoma. Tumbleweeds Dance Hall. Hey, you know what, last time I was in Oklahoma I got sucker punched at a bar in The dude literally broke my face. Oh, that sucks. It's okay. I had a broken hand from a fight in LA. And I was like, hey, I'm not going to fight you because I have a broken hand. And then I went back to go grab a beer, and he proceeded to just— Rrrr! After you. Zay's calling. Well, man, it sounds good. Thanks, man. I heard you from the little fucking thing this time. Y'all staying in the cabin? Yeah, staying in the cabin. I heard you from in there through the AC unit. I was like, damn, what ripped? Dude, this is such a cool place. I love it here. Really nice. Yeah, good to meet you too, bro. Great to hear you say— I have a great set, man. I will. I'll be back. Sounded good from what I heard. —I'm potentially your target market, right? The one who's gonna like listen and sing along and all that. That one, as soon as you started on it and you went through it the first time, I looked at him, I was like, oh yeah, that song's— oh yeah. Dude, we had the best experience at Packery Bar and Grill. They took care of us. They put us up in that little cabin, and that was the best best night's sleep I think we've gotten in comparison to that 30-hour drive we just did. And they just took care of us, man. They're just good people. And the town, the town folk, the folks around here, they're good people. And we had a wonderful time here, and I literally cannot wait to come back. I want to come back like 4 times a year. But, um, you know Sun's up. Gotta head back to Nashville. We're gonna make a few pit stops and say what's up to some fans along the way. Should I get Beast Mode tattooed? Do it right across your back. And then right underneath it put, "Rome wasn't built in a day." And then right underneath that put, "Live, laugh, love." No, no, no, no, no. That is really, really good. Let's do it. Make sure, like, you can wash your hands and stuff, but don't submerge it in water. Like, don't, like, leave it in water. Are you— I thought you were gonna put, like, a plastic thing on it. I don't do any kind of after-skin. I don't wrap. Okay, why do people do that? Because they think it helps it heal, but it's good. So if you work like construction or something like that where you're gonna get really dirty, it's smart. But other than that, like, any bacteria that gets under there, it's just hot and moisture, and it's just gonna multiply and it's gonna cause infection. Right on. Well, I appreciate y'all so much. Thank you for making this drive. We are within driving distance. Welcome. I would love that. Absolutely. Thank you so much for the tattoo. You're welcome. I'm just really glad we could stop by.
