I think we have all heard that analogy of the jar with the rocks and the pebbles and the sand. And when we try and put the sand first, the little things or the pebbles in first, then the rocks just don't fit. And if we put too many of the pebbles in first and then the sand, and again, still the rocks don't fit. But if that jar is your life and you put in those big rocks first and then you put the pebbles and then you put the sand, it all works out, it all fits and it all stays contained and manageable. And that's the analogy for our lives, is that the big rocks are the things that are most important and they go first. They are the ones that we focus on first. And when I put this out to our group, our reset group in our power up call this morning and our intention, then a couple people put in the chat right off the hop. Well, you know, they knew the priority of their big rocks. They knew exactly what their big rocks were. And I was like, yes, this is awesome. They have clarity on those big rocks. But here's what happens, and this is the unfortunate thing about life and about distraction and about so much information coming into us is that we forget, we lose. Yes, we know that maybe our family or our health are our big rocks, but then we forget how to really keep focused and keep our clarity on them. For example, I think all of you would recognize that health would be one of my big rocks. Family would be one of my big rocks. My career, my work, that would be one of my big rocks that's earning a living for my family and keeping us supported and alive. So those would be some clear big rocks. And yet amidst that, I still saw my health go down the tubes. How can that be if I'm very clear that health is one of my big rocks and I eat, live, breathe, teach, coach health. So how can that possibly be? Well, it's because I didn't define that big rock clearly enough and get really focused on what it actually looks like. So I still worked out, I still ate well. But what if an injury takes so much prevalence in my life that I can't walk? What if there's so much inflammation in my body that my joints are swelling up to twice the size? What if I'm so burnt out that I can't keep doing the other big rock that I love, which is work or really be who I want to be for my family, that other big rock. So even though you might know that the concept of family or the concept of your career, the concept of health, even though you might know that that is your big rock, there's still this action of getting ridiculously crystal clear on what it looks like. And what that means is that you define what it looks like. What it means is that you say, I know my health is where it needs to be because I am able to move freely, because I'm able to go on an adventurous 20k hike, because I'm able to jump around and play soccer with my family, because I am my ideal weight, because I can have the energy I want throughout the day and sustain it and not feel exhausted when I wake up or exhausted before bed. So you define exactly what that looks like for your big rock. Same thing with I'm just assuming that for most of us, our earning a living or our health or our families or our loved ones and our families can include our really close friends, but I'm assuming that that's probably the big rocks for most of us. So if that's your big rock for most of us, get crystal clear on what it looks like. My I feel amazing about my family when I spend this much quality time per day or this much quality or I'm able to be active in my child's sports. Define it with crystal clear clarity so that there's. You see it all the time throughout your day. It's not going to be impactful enough for your life to just say my big rock is this and my big rock is this. Now we are dealing with a time of turmoil. So if we're in a time of turmoil, how can this serve you and your community? When you have clear actions on what your heart and how your heart is connected to other people and what your heart says to you, then not only are you not as affected emotionally by everything that's going on in the world, but you can give back and you can serve to help everything that's going on in the world. You can be the person that other people need. You can be the person that supports and loves and is what other people need. So make sure you have clarity on your big rocks. And this can serve not only yourself, not only your community, not only your loved ones, but it can make a difference in the world. So keep being love, keep doing the things that really serve yourself so that you can overflow and serve others. That's my message for today. That's our mindset. Monday for today. Again, I have been a little bit removed from our group, and it's because of all that's gone on in our personal lives so that I can serve my big rocks, so I can have that incredible clarity on our circle, our community. And you are part of that. So I hope this serves you. I hope this lands for you in a way that you can get. You can write five to ten lines of exactly what it means for your big rock of family or love or health or community, or your big rock of earning a living, or your big rock of your best, most vibrant, incredible vitality, health and life and wellness. So have a wonderful day, guys. Lots of love to each other. Even more now. We need more love for each other now. Have a wonderful day. Have a wonderful rest of your week.
