Short YouTube marketing monologue by Kay Violet (self-identified marketing-agency owner). She warns entrepreneurs, realtors, business owners, and content creators that chasing virality without a plan is a waste of time because views alone don’t equal money. Instead she recommends packaging skills into sellable offerings (services, PDFs, digital products), producing repeatable content to build recognition and authority, and focusing on monetization rather than viral metrics.

Going viral is a waste of time if you don't have any strategy. My name is Kay Violet. I own a marketing agency and these are tips that nobody talks on social media. If you're an entrepreneur, a realtor, a business owner, or just a content creator trying to go viral but you don't have an idea of where you want to go, you are wasting your time. As a person that has gained thousands of followers and millions of views, I know what that is. You are wasting your time. Trust me, going viral just gives you views, but it doesn't equal money. You don't want to be wasting your time chasing trends and ideas and virality if you are not making money because you are wasting your time. The best way to make money on social media is having a business, a service or something that you can sell. Create repeatable content that you can do over and over again, gain recognition, authority, and it doesn't matter if you go viral or not, but your content is going to be so good, people are going to want to get what you know and what your industry is. My best advice is choose something that you're good at, sell it, make a service, make a PDF, make a digital product and make content of what you're passionate about.
