Before pumpkins, we carved what? Did you know Halloween started with carved turnips? Ireland carved turnips to scare off spirits. And as for Stingy Jack, legend says he got banned from both heaven and hell. Then the tradition came to America, where pumpkins took over. Bigger, easier to carve, and a whole lot less work. And now we've got 12-foot skeletons towering over our front yards. From turnips to pumpkins to Skelly, we've come a long way. So tell me, which Halloween tradition do you miss the most? Thanks for watching!
