Cash Based Practices | The Marketing Every Cash Based Practice Should Start With

In this live webinar, Kelly Alhooie (founder of PelviBiz and Orthopelvic PT) and co‑presenter Amanda walk pelvic‑health therapists and other cash‑based clinicians through a step‑by‑step social‑media marketing system. They begin by showing how to create a post, then focus on converting that post into real client conversations. Core tactics include sending personalized video DMs (or voice messages) to prospects, repeatedly following up, and moving contacts out of the platform into email or phone to nurture them. They stress the importance of relationship‑building over follower counts, using commenting, liking, and local networking to grow a community. Practical content‑creation advice covers reels, B‑roll, stories, and the tools they use (Canva for static posts, Loomly for scheduling across platforms, and occasional Instagram‑native editing). They demonstrate a real‑world example of turning an abs‑exercise post into 50+ direct‑message video leads, capturing contact info, and increasing practice valuation. The session also covers partnership tactics such as value‑stacking coupons from local businesses (juice bars, gyms) to enhance offers, and promotes an upcoming in‑person marketing event in Clearwater, Florida, offering limited‑time 1‑hour strategy calls. Finally, they discuss mindset strategies—blocking negative accounts, staying authentic, and focusing on one’s mission—to avoid comparison traps. The webinar ends with a Q&A, a call to action to book calls, and an invitation to future sessions.

Okay, I'm gonna try to share my screen today, so let's see. Let's hope the the presentation's working. Here we go. Let's see. Hold on. Okay. All right.
Let me.
Can y'all see our screen? Thumbs up. Awesome. Awesome. Cool. Cool. All right. Let's see. All right, let's get into it. Why not? We got a lot to talk about, so why not? Let's get into it. First off, Amanda and I both want to thank you guys for being here. Super, super appreciative for taking your time out of your day to come hang out with us. Some of my mastermind students are on. They've been hanging out with me for a while today, so I appreciate that. Hey guys. Um, so today, like I said, we really wanted to talk about online social media aspect and really hit that hard. So how not to let social media take over your time and your life. Who feels me on that? This is very interactive, so raise your hand if you feel that social media is like a burden and it takes over your time. All right, and instead we really want to use it as a marketing tool. So not looking at it from the scrolling aspect, but really looking at it as Today, when I go on this app, I'm doing all my marketing. So here we go. So let's go ahead. So this is at a Pelly Biz event. We have Amanda, Greg, myself, and some, some crew members here. We have a couple of those people on the call today. We are hosting a big event in Clearwater, Florida, June 1st through the 4th. It's going to be featuring Amanda, Greg, and I. And we're going to bring some fire on marketing and sales and all the things. So stay tuned to the end of the presentation because we got something special for you guys. But it's just, it's really amazing when everyone, everyone that's on this call could be in person and the energy that's felt is just like freaking epic. And that's my new word of the day, by the way, is epic. So it's amazing. And we want to give you guys more information at the end of this call and an amazing opportunity. So our mission, why are Amanda and I here and you guys here today? Our mission is to help more women, especially in the healthcare world, basically be able to get more patients and be able to uplift each other's businesses and help promote each other so that we all have businesses that grow, that actually give us what we want in our life. So for those that don't know me, my name is Kelly Alhooie. I am founder of PelviBiz. So I help pelvic health therapists make more money and be healthy while doing it, and I help grow people's practices. I am also founder of a company called Orthopelvic Physical Therapy. It's here in Sterling, Virginia, and is a brick-and-mortar practice. I basically started 3 years ago with $800 in my bank account. Okay, anyone there with me right now? Okay. I didn't have any money. I worked I worked four jobs before that as a pelvic health therapist for eight years, and I just didn't know what to do. I invested in myself. I invested in a program, and that program is what actually gave me the guidance and led me to go on three years later to have a seven-figure brick-and-mortar practice and a multi-six-figure online business. And I'm here and Amanda's here today to be able to give back to you guys and show you that anything is possible. So like I just took a month off and I went to La Jolla in San Diego for a whole month because my business was allowing me, it was the vehicle that allowed me to be able to do that. And today we wanna show you how we've used online to allow us to do that and be able to get your time back, spend time with your family and not feel that this stuff is a burden. Because here we go, I'm going right into it. Who here thinks that social media, okay, is a waste of their time? Because this was me, 100%. Ask Amanda, 100%. Okay, who here feels that they are too old to be on social media? That's me. Okay, these are my own beliefs. Okay, one more thing. Who here thinks that they can only make friends in person? Because this was me. And why would I ever want an online friend? And it's funny because Amanda was an online friend. So I did meet Amanda online at first. Okay, but this was me. These are my beliefs, and I was in my actual own way. So if you're on this call right now and you're thinking, I'm too old to do this. This is a waste of my time. All I do is go on there and scroll and get nothing done. Then you're in the right place because we're going to teach you how to turn that mentality around and use it to where it actually can grow your business or businesses, whether or not it's online or brick and mortar. So in general, what social media has done for me, it's allowed me to grow my brick and mortar practice. It's allowed me to hire therapists, guys. So instead of me putting out a post on Indeed or calling a recruiter for $11K— by the way, recruiter costs you $11,000 to hire a therapist if you're looking to do that for a year— you can put out a social media post and that therapist can come for free. That's the power of social media. You can promote your mission. So I'm promoting Pelvis Biz mission, I'm promoting orthopelvic mission. I use online to connect with patients and business owners. Massively in the DMs. Okay, I also promote online products, and then I've learned to bring my message to the masses. When it's just my clinic, I can't do that, but when you have social media, you can put your— you can put the message to the masses. And just remember, stay to the end because we got something special for you guys.
What's up? I'm Amanda, y'all. If you're on Instagram, I am @empoweryourpelvis. And I'm a pelvic floor PT out in Kansas City, Missouri. I started our first clinic, brick-and-mortar clinic, in 2017 and soon found out I was pregnant with our third kiddo right afterwards. And back then, Instagram was not what it was, or even social media, to be exact, was not what it was today. There was no videos. Everything was like pictures. How do we make it look fancy and a different fade and color to make it look aesthetic? And appealing to the masses out there. So I was posting pictures of a water bottle. Drink more water. It's great for your pelvic floor. It wasn't getting much action or traction. Let's fast forward a little bit into COVID when like reels picked up. That really helped my business. Little clinic at the time renting a closet, literally a closet out of a pelvic or out of a physical therapy clinic. And it grew into Now we're on our 3rd location here in, on the Missouri side. Since then, we've opened up another clinic on the Kansas side. So 2 different states. One of our practices is cash-based, the other one is insurance, hopefully getting ready to switch over to a cash-based. And then it also brought me an online business as well. So not only do we have an online membership, but we have online programs that we have as well. So my false belief with social media was I'm, I'm a tomboy at heart. I'm an athlete is what I would still call myself. I'm a mom of 3 boys. I don't have time to get myself put together, hair and makeup. And I didn't wanna put my face on the camera without having makeup and hair done. And I quickly got over that because I don't have the time to look nice and fancy and look like a little influencer. So that took a really long time for me to do that. I was, It was a ridiculous amount of trying to curl my hair. Actually figured out how to curl my hair because of that. So that one's nice. But realizing very quickly that if I was going to make this work for marketing for my business, I need to just let some shit go. And that was one of the things. So if you're feeling that, put your hand up in the air, comment in the section. If you're like, yeah, I don't want to get on there because I don't have my lipstick or mascara done, I get you. Things that social media has really allowed for me when, when COVID hit, I started becoming very consistent in social media platforms. What else was I going to do, right? Like the business was shutting down. People weren't coming in because everyone was shut down for what was supposed to be 2 weeks and then led on to 8 weeks, so and so. So I started figuring out, you know, I wanted to continue to talk to people because our pelvic floor for our business is— holds a lot of emotion. And I was going crazy at home with 3 kids trying to do virtual school and run a company and trying to make money at the same time. So I just started being consistent with stories and posts, which then turned into reels. And reels are my jam. I, it's like a musical up in my head all day long. I love the aspects of reels and how I can educate people with them. So that it really took off around that time for me. Our staff, besides my first 2 PTs that we brought into the clinic, those were actually local PTs in other PT practices that I said, hey, why don't we join forces and all work together as a team under one roof? They loved it. They joined. But after then, we've hired every other person of our staff has been through an Instagram story or a Facebook story of me saying, hey, we've got a spot open. Would you like to come and work for our business? Especially during COVID the world was shut down. Maren was our first PT on. She came from Chicago. We did an interview online, a Zoom call. I hired her there on the spot. They moved from Chicago here, and that was our first PT for social through social media, which is crazy. So hiring staff, hiring our front office has all been through social media as well. And then my mission for the company here and my brand online is to really normalize pelvic health. I want that to be a normal thing that people talk about because it was very taboo when I started having my own issues in my early 20s. Nobody talked about it. I had to give my friends a couple glasses of wine for me to get them to open up, and I didn't want that to be the same. So Really getting out there, putting the videos, putting the content out there. Have I been bashed? Yes. Do I care anymore? No. You get over it if you're not. You know, those comments actually help you grow. We'll go through that in a little bit later. But being able to push the boundaries a little bit can really help you take off. Using online social media, Facebook and Instagram, really being able to reach out to local businesses in our community, reach out to providers in our community, and get to know them online and figure out how we can collaborate and work together. Has been huge for our businesses, and we'll get more to that later. Thanks, Kelly. Okay, so I mentioned I'm a mom. I'm a busy woman, probably like most of you here. Is anybody else busy, and you just don't have time for social media? It's a little overwhelming. It's exhausting. Yada yada yada. Okay, for me, life does not happen if it's not on my calendar. I am a paper planner person. My husband is an electronic calendar person. If you're an electronical calendar person, if that's a word, you can do that as well. You can time block your time. For me, the very first thing to go on my calendar is the appointments for the day. Number one, appointments for my children. I have 3, so they're like 3 other businesses. Put them on the calendar. Then it's, what am I doing for the business throughout the day? And then I time block my time for social media. Right now, guys, social media is free. Okay, use this to your advantage for your companies. It gives you a free marketing tool to get out there and talk to the masses, talk to more than one person at once, and it works like a charm when we do it the right way. I set timers because I get distracted. My brain has 1,000 things going different times a day. Again, that's why I have my calendar. So if I'm gonna sit down and do any type of social media, I need to set a timer. For me, it's 30 minutes. When that timer goes off, I'm done. But I have on my to-do list every day what I'm going to get done. I probably honestly get like 2 of the 10 things done, but at least I'm checking things off my list and it's keeping me on focus of what needs to happen. For me as well, I have 2 clinics, so I'm bouncing between 2 different places, or when I was here working a full day of patients. I would take time to make the videos in between patients. So if a patient was running late, or another person came early, or was during my lunch hour, or I got to work early, I would take a few seconds to figure out, okay, what did I want to shoot today? What can I get done now? And then boom, get a clip done in 4 seconds. Put that done, get the next patient out the door, come back, shoot another 2 to 4 second clip. At the end of the day, I will tend to put mine together because you can save these all in drafts as well. And put it together and put it out. For me, it's like carpool line pickup for school seems to be a really great time period, or, uh, in the evening when I have time to really put that together. Another option to not feel so overwhelmed with social media can be filming B-roll. B-roll is basically you holding the camera and you, it's like almost like your stories, like you're walking and filming yourself walking into your clinic, walking into a gym, walking at the beach, walking into your favorite lunch pickup, walking into a local business that you're hoping to connect with and you're like, oh my God, best coffee in town. Everybody should check it out. I'm having coffee here today, la la la. And just, it can be short and sweet. It can be a video with just a quick tidbit. Kelly, do you wanna click that and show?
Yeah.
I believe her example has the pelvis on the beach. I mean, ooh, very visceral. It's relaxing. I can envision myself walking here on the beach and oh, I spot a shell that looks like a pelvis. How exciting. And it's educational. So it makes me wanna watch this. It's got her logo on it. It's beautiful. This is very aesthetic pleasing. This is B-roll. Okay? So it's not having your face on it. It's really what you're doing throughout the day. Biggest question I think Kelly and I myself get is, how many times should I be posting or putting out content on social media? My best answer for you is just be Consistent. Be consistent. Figure out what works best for you and make that happen. So for you, if consistent is one time a week, be consistent with the algorithm to post one time a week. If it's posting 4 times a week, by golly, put that on your to-do list on your calendar for 4 times a week and make it happen. The algorithm wants to promote and really benefit the people who are staying consistent. So don't go gunshot out of the, I don't know, out of the womb trying to post 6 times a day if you're not gonna stick up with that because the algorithm will quickly say, oh, backpedal, backpedal. Now we're not gonna show her stuff because she hasn't stayed at that 6 times a day. So really find what works for you. For me, it's like small little goals like, oh, I can do that confidence booster. Now I'm gonna try one more. Can I do it twice a week? Can I try it twice a day? And as long as I can stay with that, then I would say try posting what, pushing the envelope a little bit. But don't push the envelope until you know confidently what you can stick with throughout your busy schedule. Okay? So same goes for— this goes for any type of social media. Notice it doesn't say Instagram, it doesn't say Facebook, it doesn't say TikTok, it doesn't say YouTube, because everything I have noticed and read and learned is consistency across the board. That will take you the farthest out there, just being consistent. So Go ahead in the chat bar. Let us know how many times are you posting right now per week? If it's one time, amazing. It gives us a starter area of what you're doing now, so we can really start to push the envelope and see, can I, Amber, end up posting twice a week and make myself feel good about that? And then see what happens when I stay consistent with that week after week after week. And then when you feel like, you know what, this is manageable, I can post a little bit more, I will. So this is all how many times per week that everybody's putting in the chat bar. Love it. I love the realness here, guys. Amazing. Thank you guys for sharing. All right, Kelly.
All right, so now— thanks, Amanda. So now, how to target your ideal client on social media. This is a big one. Okay, you gotta know where you're going and who you're targeting. So number one, you need to know their pain points. What do you— you're probably like, what's a pain point, Kelly? A pain point is what is their biggest problem. You got to know that. And most of you guys on here right now are maybe healthcare workers or pelvic health therapists, lymphedema therapists are on here. But in general, what is your biggest— what's the biggest pain point? So I'm just going to go in the pelvic health realm. A lot of us see patients that have leakage, so most of us would say, "Well, I'm here promoting leakage," or "I'm here to help leakage." But leakage actually is not their problem. What? No, leakage is not their problem. What their problem is, is that they have lack of confidence and they're embarrassed because they have leakage. So when you're putting out social media posts. Being mindful, you can put leakage as a title across the thing, but you also want to talk to the embarrassment. You also want to be talking to that they can't go jump on the trampoline with their kid because they're embarrassed of the leakage, not just this is how you solve the leakage problem, if that makes sense. So really knowing their pain points. What I like to do is go to your notes section on your computer or your phone for those iPhone people, okay? And write down anything that anyone's ever said to you on social media. So they're like, hey, can you help me stop my leakage? They're going to tell you that, but the deeper point is the embarrassment. That's the underlying issue. So you're going to write down your notes section: someone wants to give me a quick tip on how to stop their leakage. And you're going to put that in your notes section so that when you go to make your social media post. You just pull up your notes section, and on those days where you're like, man, I really don't want to think today, you go to your notes section and you're like, oh, someone wants to know about leakage today. And this is what how they said it. And I use their words to then target them because their words is how they're going to actually say it and how they're going to learn it from social media. So that's super important. Now, if you don't have an audience, so who here does not have an audience? Or has a small audience, and that is a-okay. Okay, who here raised their hand if they have a small audience? Okay, so then you guys need to be thinking about who has my actual people, my peeps I call them. Who has my peeps? So those people, let's just say I'm a pelvic health therapist because I am. Um, so let's just say that, and I'm like, okay, I don't have an audience yet. I don't really know how to use a social media thing. Who has my people? Well, who are the big players in the field that have that have people? Amanda has people. Who else? The yeah yeah Amanda the vagina whisperer right or who like all the people intimate rose right like all those people have your people and so what you want to do. Is go to them and, and give them something like, hey, I will help you do this if I could just do 10 minutes on a live with you. Okay, you have to provide them value. So you have to go seek out who has your people, and you have to give them value. Do not go to them and ask— this is the big— biggest mistake that we see— hi, can I come on your podcast? We don't want to do that because that is like begging for clients, and you don't want to be perceived as that. Plus, that kind of leaves a bad taste in someone's mouth when they're getting that message of like, "Hey, can I just come on your social media?" No, because they worked hard for that social media. So instead, think about how you can help them grow their practice or grow their presence online so that you can actually. do a live with them eventually one day. May not be right away. Also, who else has their audience besides going to— let's just say I'm a pelvic health therapist. I don't have to go to pelvic health therapists. I can also think, like, let's say my audience is postpartum and I'm targeting postpartum moms. Now let's all think about this. Where do postpartum moms— what do they do? They go to daycare. Put it in the chat. What do postpartum moms do? Where? Daycare. Where are they? Where do they hang out? Put all the things about a postpartum mom. What clothes do they wear? They go hang out at Lululemon, or now that Viora, whatever that brand now is. Um, they maybe go to juice bars. They maybe go to coffee shops with playgrounds. They may all hang out at this one school that all their kids go to. They may go to this massage place because it was the best thing that they've seen on Facebook, and everyone goes to this massage therapist because They're the best known in town. Maybe they go to this one facial place. Maybe they go to this one hairdresser that's supposed to give you the best highlights of your hair. Okay, this is the stuff that you got to go on onto your phone. Okay, so everyone, if you have your phone, pull it out. You got to go on your phone and let me pull up my thing. Hopefully you can see this. Okay, so from here. You're gonna go to here. You're gonna go to the search down here. Can you guys see it? The search, the search thing. Okay, the little magnifying glass. Can you see that? Yes, no, anyone? Okay, so you're gonna go to the magnifying glass. You're then gonna go up to the search feature, and I got— and I want you to put something that I just mentioned, whether or not it was a juice bar, whether or not it was a hairdressing, just— or a hairstylist or a massage therapist. I'm gonna put massage in mine. Okay, you're gonna type in massage. Okay, you're then gonna hit search. I'm hoping you guys can see this. Okay, then from here you're gonna hit places. Places all the way over on the top. Okay, from there, okay, from there you're then going to hit like Hope Massage pops up for me. So that is a place that is local to my area that I'm then gonna go and be like, oh wow, this looks like a cool place, I'm gonna friend them. Okay, so that is— that's what I would do on Instagram, and I'm gonna do that for a lot of different things in my area. You can see Hope Massage, so now I'm gonna go and I'm gonna follow them. I'm already following them. Because I've done this before. So I'm gonna follow them and I'm gonna star them as my favorites because I want to see what Massage Hope is doing every single day so that I can see the clientele that's coming in there and I can start to build my audience, guys. So when you don't have anyone, you got to go search for where your, your clientele hangs out. If my clientele was lymphedema, I'm gonna go search all the local breast cancer races in my area, and I'm gonna go on there and see because you can see pictures of all of that. Okay, so now if you do have an audience, okay, so who here has an audience? Raise your hand if you have an audience. You want to make sure that you're asking them the right questions. Okay, and that you actually know their problem. So how are you going to do this? The best thing for you guys to do is do the same thing I just told, told you to do for the non— the people that don't have an audience. But I also want you to add in your stories polls. What problems do you guys have? Ask questions. What problems do you guys have? Um, what have things— have you tried to solve this problem? Like start asking your audience questions and start gaining their contact information by using— there's a question box in Stories. So you would just go to your profile. Okay, and then you would go to— you guys probably know Stories right here, and you would ask a question box and you would ask, hey guys, anyone struggling with this? We'd love to send you a free ebook on this. Put your email here and we'll send it to you. That's an example of how you can start building your email list so that you can get more clients in your door, whether or not that's online or a brick-and-mortar. And the biggest thing that you really need to know is, again, really knowing the people's why, their deep, deep why. Leakage, it's not that. It's the embarrassment and their confidence. They want to get their abs back. It's not that they want to get their abs back. I mean, it is, but they want to look cute in those jeans. That's the deeper why. So when someone tells you, hey, I have leakage and I want to stop that, well, tell me what that would mean. This is a very important question I would ask. Tell me what that would mean if you were able to stop this leakage. Well, I could be able to like go play with my kids and jump on the trampoline. Okay, but really, why is that important to you? And they tell you that deeper why. That's what you got to hit in the social media post, not the leakage. I mean, you can, but if you really want to get to people's attention, hit the deeper why, and that will really do it. So collaboration. Collaboration is key, guys. This is literally how I built orthopedic. This is how Amanda has built her practice. Um, her and I are both really good at collaborating. This is why we're collaborating today. Um, but it is massive. So again, with this, I need you guys to take out a pen and paper or use your computer. I'm old school. I got my notebook here. Okay, so with this being said, I want you guys to write down right now on— you go to your Instagram, think about what I just said. Who has my— what is my audience first? Like, what is the audience I'm trying to serve? Is it postpartum? Yes, most of us are pelvic health, but it doesn't have to be. This is any healthcare provider, okay? But is it postpartum? Am I targeting CrossFit athletes? Am I targeting yogis? Am I targeting I don't, um, nutrition people. Like, what am I targeting? You got to know that first. It's not just pelvic health. You got to be very specific about it. Once you're very specific about it, let's just say we're gonna go with postpartum moms because most of us have that target population. Okay, again, what juice bars online? I need you searching right now. Let's take time to do this. Write down 10 accounts. So juice bars around you. Um, also what local gyms are around you? Burn boot camps, Orangetheories, yoga studios, barre studios— where are they? I like to star them as my favorite so they keep popping up in my feed, and I will literally go in there and like them, comment, and all the things. Amanda will talk about that in a minute, but you really want to keep nurturing them. Also, don't forget about the doctors. Now, some doctors are old school. They don't have Instagram or Facebook or any of the things. But star the doctor, start searching all the doctors on there. Don't forget about hair salons. Hair salons. Erica, that's on, she did an amazing event the other day where she went and she did an ergonomic assessment on people for that were hairdressers, and she got a massive response to that. Massive response. And so many people booked an eval for pelvic health, and she went to hair salon. And remember, at a hair salon, that's where all people talk, okay? That's where everyone talks. Massage therapists, acupuncturists— write down those places. Literally type in the search bar on your Instagram, type in massage, see what pops up, friend them. Nutrition people— what other nutrition people that are like naturopaths or whatever, like dietitians? Let's friend them too. They're in our realm. And remember, when you're reaching out to these people, it's not about, hey, can you put me on your social media? It's you want to think where the gap is, like what they're missing. So let's just say it's an Orange Theory that I'm trying to approach. I'm not going to just DM Orange Theory and be like, hey, can I do a workshop or like go online with you? What I'm going to do is say, hey, Orange Theory, I noticed and I've been taking some of your classes. And I see that you guys do a lot of treadmill and weights, but what I don't see is mobility work. So I would love to, you know, if when we got to that point, do you guys have any mobility work? I would just ask them that question first, and then let's start a conversation about mobility. And then how can I provide value of mobility to them? That's very important.
Okay.
In addition to that, this is another way I collaborate. Now, this is not so much online, but the connection can be online first, and then it can be in person. If patients are like, or people in the area are selling like local products, I'll bring them into the brick-and-mortar practice. So I'll use online to then bring it into the brick-and-mortar practice. So like local juice shops, hey, I'm gonna sell your juices because people, you know, this is like a health vibe when they come in. I'm gonna sell your juices at my, in my brick-and-mortar practice Is that cool? I get a small refrigerator and I start promoting that local business owner. Guess what? That local business owner is going to start promoting me at their place. In addition to that, if I have patients and they're like— I had a patient that was running a cookie company and she knew all the moms. I was like, hey, make orthopelvic cookies and bring them in. I'll start promoting you here. And I started promoting her cookie company. And I would give out free cookies. I would buy the cookies from her and I would give them out to all the patients and they were so happy. I mean, who doesn't want a cookie after they're done with a pelvic floor exam? I mean, come on. So like those are ways that you can use online but also in person and you can merge them together. So I think that's, you know, there's a lot here. I mean, we could go on and on about this, but just really today, I hope you guys, as I'm talking, are making your list of 10. And these are just examples that you can start looking and start following and starring them.
And that is literally how Kelly and I have both grown our business is doing that. So really take the time. That's part of that time blocking. So when you schedule your time out, if you don't have, we don't want you reaching out to these 10 people every single day. Okay? With messages, but you can go on and definitely look and comment and like them. And I'll get into that more in a second. So some of you will have asked like, or really like scheduling out posts, scheduling out reels. These are some apps that you can use to do that. I have tried the IG app in reels. When you make a reel, and I know it's hard to see, guys, I'm sorry, but in the reel section right before you post it and you hit the share button, If you scroll all the way down right above this blue button that says share, there's a little icon that says advanced settings. It looks like a little, I don't know, a screw settings app. You're gonna click that, and there's an option in there at the very top to schedule the reel. I've used it a few times, but like, I— that's not how my brain works. I am not a scheduler for my apps and my content. For me, it's best put in the calendar of when I'm gonna get this done. But if you are a scheduled person, you can use these options to make that happen. Planoly is the last one that I used that I thought, this will help me get, you know, better at scheduling things out. It— I lasted a week. It's just not how my brain functions. But if yours does, please try these out. And if you guys have other options that you're using, put that down in the chat bar. I'm sure people would love to hear it. So yeah, that can help you have the post ready to go, especially if you know, like this month for pelvic health is C-section Awareness Month, and I'm sure it's another month as well that we're aware of something. So you can post out a C-section post for certain days of the week that you can make that happen. When we're posting, the best posts that seem to get the most feedback when you're posting are ones that are impactful. You're causing somebody to move forward. to either purchase a product, come in and see you, decide that they want to see change in what they're experiencing. You are educating them. So you're educating them on maybe being 1 out of 2 statistically people pee their pants, or this is what a wand is, or this is how many layers there are in it when you cut through a C-section, what's happening. Or entertaining. People come on there to be entertained. They get on there to be moved. It might be sad or happy. But people wanna feel something. And so the entertainment for me is I wanna make people giggle and laugh or think like, why the heck did she put that with that song? I want you to listen to it, get it, and giggle a little bit. And then because we've got 30, 30, 30, that's 90%. We threw in a 10% on messaging and communicating. So on top of the stuff that you're posting out there, a little bit of all your time on social media needs to be connecting or collaborating with your audiences. And we've got a couple of examples with that. So impact examples. Do you just want to click through these? I guess so. The purchase the product. So for this one, it's collecting their attention, but this one is talking about varicose veins, vaginal varicose veins. This happens with pregnant women. This V2 support. Oh my God, it gives us support. It helps out with the heaviness. I got more people, and I don't have a code for this. Been trying to get one with them instead. But this is a great option for you to be able to get like an affiliate link and make some money off of affiliate posts. People comment and like, and you can go through. I love that Natasha, she's wearing a V2 right now, that you can go through, comment and like, and message the people about this product. So if you see even there, it says, comment me if you've experienced this. So if we had an affiliate link for these people, it'd be giving it to them for Amazon, giving it to connect them. Right now we sell these in our office, so we will even ship them out of our office to the patients on here. Thank you, Kelly. Next one, normalizing pelvic health. It's our mission. I was denied sponsorship, so I like to put in my family into our— that's just my brand. I was denied sponsorship because apparently pelvis is a dirty word, and Power Your Pelvis is even dirtier because even if put EmpowerYP. People might think pelvis is penis, who knows? But we're impacting people to help me normalize pelvic health. This one got shared so many times because people are either like, I agree, you shouldn't be able to put your name on a kid's sports jersey, or like, how absurd, how ridiculous. Like, they— everybody's got a voice and an opinion, right? So that helps me with my mission of normalizing pelvic health. And I'm giving you an insight like we're on the 5th or 6th season now of me not being able to sponsor my kids' teams. Now my kids are starting to read the ones that these are going to go on their shirts. So yeah, we might start talking a little bit more. But hopefully my goal is to get this out here that pelvis isn't a bad word. It's like saying elbow, and it's helping me with my mission. Lo and behold. Thank you. Exercise. I feel like we've all seen videos on like, try these 3 exercises. This is another way to get them to see change. For me, I love letting people know that your mouth is a— these lips connect with the lips down there, y'all. So let's figure out how to make that happen. You pucker up here, you start to pucker down there. I hope y'all are trying that right now. That was the mission of this one. It's getting people to lean over, lean onto that desk, bend forward, wake your lips and lips up, make them connect, activate that tissue, and hopefully help you stop, decrease your leakage. So that was kind of like a whoa, what's that kind of factor impactful? Makes them want to try the exercise.
I love it. I love it. Um, Kelly's story.
Yes.
Yeah. This one is where I went to the dermatologist. For those don't know, I show my face all the time with this lovely staph infection that I've had for a year. So for those people that hate showing their face on on social media. You know, I just gotten to a point where I just, I can't care because I don't have time, like Amanda said. So I went to the dermatologist and this lady was crazy. And I went off and I really just gave kind of an emotional— I'm not gonna play the whole thing, but it was a very emotional thing about doctors. And it just was so impactful that we had so many people share it and comment. And if you believe something strongly, then it— I think it's very important to share something like that because it was a very real, real post. Um, that's typically kind of the post that I do is just show up how I am and you like it or you don't. So, uh, you know, this is, this is a post that's, that's very raw and real.
And I think that's another— sorry, I think that's what's so real with the social media side is we I know I wanted to fit in a certain mold when I started out on social media, because I thought that's what people wanted. Well, that's not real. Like, okay, things all look, you know, hunky-dory and grandy. That, like, show me the stuff that looks like crap. Like today, my kid's finding snakes in our backyard. I'm putting that out there because that was my morning before coming into the office, was dealing with little baby snakes outside. So I'm letting people see that backside, and then we're feeling relatable, like, oh, Kelly's a real human. She's got issues with the dermatologist and issues with her face. Like, I connect with her on that because I feel it too. So putting that out there that you are a real human is huge for these people. And people wanna see it's raw. It's raw material that we're like, oh, I get you, girl. So please do that.
Yeah. And to my point, I mean, yeah, there's more apps coming out. There's one called BeReal because I think more and more people, I mean, aren't we liking people that are more real rather than like all the filters and All this, like people are starting to realize that more. So truly, guys, for those people, like trust me, it took me some confidence to come on with my face all like crazy like this. I mean, it was way worse, but I just had to do it because I didn't have time and I had no other option. So here's one more example of impact. This one I think we had two million views on, and this this is not impact. This is only impactful because there is a pink bosu. In this video that I literally think grabbed people's attention, and I think the title grabbed people's attention. You want flat abs? And it's impactful because so many people—I wish I could show you that. Well, I guess I can show you the comments. So many people were like, comments can only be made in the kitchen, and then through exercise. Of course, of course. I'm not saying that you do this exercise and that you're gonna get flat abs. There's only so much you. can say in 7 seconds. So I think that's also very important to state. Don't let these comments hold you back. But then you're also going to be like, yeah, this is the most badass exercise ever. So just put yourself out there, say what you have to say, you know the meaning behind it, and just let it be.
And all comments, take your video on. I'll take a negative comment. I've got a wiping fecal smearing one and people are bashing it. Or I've got one where I said, Flows off the hose, and I'm talking about the urethra hose. And all these men are like, "You don't have a hose," and it's I mean it just launches the videos. But so it's educating; it's getting your word out there to people. Just don't use that filter. Put the filter up and be like, "Okay, cool. Thank you." Like everybody's got an opinion. Moving on, and let it be. Okay. Okay. Educational ones. So I we love educating again. Think about the videos you're posting as 30% impactful. This one's an option of an educational one. What an option of educational, you want to try to keep a reel in under a minute. That's a heck of a lot to talk out in under a minute. So I try to break it down real fast. Here's week 1, something you can do after a C-section. People really want— we in this type environment of education, they seem to want a lot in a short amount of time if you can keep them on. So Definitely hooking them with a good title, hooking them with what you're gonna say at the beginning, and then spill it out as fast as you can where people can understand it, and then turn it off and moving on to the next one. So with this one, like there's a series which people like too. You can put up part 1, part 2, part 3, and lead them with a series of exercises or educational content too.
Yeah, guys. And as we're going through this, I would just be writing down tips of like, okay, tip number 1 of how do I want to show up on social media? Like, how do I truly want to post? Take Amanda's— what she just said. Maybe I want to do a 1-2-3 post. Maybe that's going to catch someone's attention. We got to try this stuff because your account and my account might be different, but we're giving you a variety of things that you can post. Maybe a funny thing like Amanda posts is going to catch the attention. Maybe a serious one like I did about my own personal health issues is going to catch your attention. So list this stuff out, like take notes on this and be like, okay, I'm going to try a serious one, I'm going to try funny, I'm going to try this, and then just go through it and see what hits. You got to analyze it.
So with this next video, I did a video sitting on a toilet prior to this video talking about wiping, wiping, and wiping and having fecal smearing. It blew up, okay, because people are like, well, get a bidet. Why It just went ridiculous on the comments. So then I led it up a couple days later, or a week later, with this how to improve fecal smearing. So one video led to another one because people wanted it and discussed some ways to get it out. So I talk in the video like, hey, tucking and sitting on the couch can tighten up that tissue. Let's go the opposite direction, change it up, open it up, breathe into your sit bones, or I might have even said breathe into your butthole in this one, and that lit people up too. So I really like to talk in layman's terms. I'm very big on that. Keep it a 3rd grade level. Do not try to say anus. Do not try to say hip external rotation. People don't understand what that is. So break it down. Poop, pee, all of the above. I talk like my kids.
Love it.
And that seems to resonate well with people. So very easy to digest. It has to be digestible, especially when these clips are 7 seconds, 10 seconds, or a minute. If it's not digestible, people are scrolling past it. Okay? You have a lot of C-sections on here because it's the awareness month. This one is a visual. It gives them an idea of what's actually happening with a C-section. People like visuals. I'm also doing a voiceover on this one. So I'm explaining, hey, I've had 3 C-sections. A lot of scar tissue can build up. This is what happens during the C-section, and all of us are like, whoa, because we don't think about how things get cut in and how we birth a baby. Hey, we have a birthday party. All that stuff comes back in. We layer it down. Here's some ideas that you can do to help improve your C-section. So that's all being talked about. The crazy dog— that's my real life. So that's coming into play too. I have more comments on this video about my dog and the layers of this baby and how to make one of these things that This video just went bananas, and I've done this in different viewpoints with this same little felt book that I made, and this one still gets the best one with just how we're flipping through it and with the voiceover action. The voiceover, I find right now, since like January 2023, it's doing amazing. People want to hear your voice again. They feel like you're a real person behind this video. So adding your voice into exercises, adding your voice into Reels, you know, works like a charm. I'm not gonna lie, I probably do my voiceover 4 to 6 times until I get it right. Because again, you have this short amount of timeframe to get in what you wanna say. So maybe make bullet points before you hit that voiceover, but you can always hit the back button, rewind, drag, restart again. And it's very simple to do. And then it gives them a nice idea of what you're talking about.
So this one I did is what it looks like at your first appointment at OrthoPelvic. So I did this, guys, because it takes down the uncertainty of what the heck is pelvic floor therapy. So this might be another idea that we were just giving you guys of, hey, this is another educational thing. That you could put out there so that it's— you have less sales resistance or less resistance of people if you have a brick-and-mortar practice of them actually coming to see you. If you just had online, I would make a video of what it would be like to work with you online. So you want people to visualize, hey, that looks like me. Hey, maybe I can do that. Maybe she can analyze what's happening there. Okay.
And I think this gives people a better understanding too of I mean, the things that people read on the internet of what your job description is, is just bananas. And to see like, oh my God, it looks like a real place. She's smiling. There's plants in her clinic. It looks so comforting and homey. And oh my gosh, I'm calm. I want to see her now. Like, that stuff starts to play through because they've seen it, and now they know, like, and trust you. And it's all about that feeling. I mean, now, like, videos like that, videos that we do in the clinic. A lot of our referral sources are sending honest to goodness sending our patients to our social media to get that know, like, and trust factor before they come in and get referred into our clinic. So they want to know our faces. They want to see that it's not a scary place, that we don't just have speculum bills in here that we're pinching everybody with. And then they end up coming in. They text us. They Instagram message us. They call us, and that is. Why we're here. Entertaining examples. These are my favorite. This is how my brain works. But again, I have to keep it 30% of the time. So my one of the ones that has done really well, it's interesting. You start to kind of get a viewpoint of what patients do. And my patients who kind of like you go to the gynecologist, if you have been there and haven't had kids yet, you might toss your underwear when you're uncomfortable and you're you hide everything, right? Like we're afraid someone's going to pull our underwear up and be like, "This is what you're wearing to the clinic today." Are you kidding? We're not going to do that. But people still hide their underwear and bra. Bra, I guess we're really not topless here in the clinic, but you get what I'm saying. So these were just like the type of patients I wanted to get a giggle. And then people commented like, oh yeah, until I had kids, this is how I was. And then now I do, I just strip down in front of my PT like it's no big deal because she's going to see everything anyways. So thinking about the types of patients you come in now, people honestly, they come in. I had one girl actually strip down fully naked the other day and she was like, oh my God, I thought I was at my gyno. And she goes, are you going to make a reel about And I was like, I might actually do that because that's a great content idea. Other people do it too. So bring light to the situations. Another one that I know myself and other people have done, or like in our field, like people always come in saying, I didn't shave my legs. I just went to the gym. I didn't take a shower. And those are funny reels to make. Like, we don't care. We don't care. Just come in. Let's see your pelvic floor and let's get shit done. Another entertainment prolapse. This one, this vagina, this vulva has seen more views on social media than any other products in my office. This one is everywhere, but it catches people's attention. It's pink, it flies around. I like to change up props in my videos to keep people's attention of like, what's What's coming next? By golly, what does she have in her bag? Mary Poppins, what is she going to pull out? Is it the squishy chicken that shows the prolapse? Is it a V2? Is it a Squatty Potty? I'm big on products and what catches— there was the blow-up doll. So you get kind of look around what you use with your patients. Lymphedema therapist, show us your compression hose. Show us your, um, what you're using to actually wrap around, how you're wrapping it. But break it into short segments. That's another one that this one did well with. Well, there's a whole bunch of things we collaborated, and then we did everything in very short second clips, so that kept people's attention. We had the words popping up as well, but it was educational on how do we decrease prolapse symptoms.
Love it.
I mentioned before, I like to include family. So this is just a funny one of You know what, how, who's peeing on the front lawn with their pelvic floor? Oh, it's her kids. That's why the ground is dirty. These are just ones that have done well with. I will probably hear a song that I've noticed has taken off well and then use it short clips and try to play it. I like to play the kids and family into pelvic health if I can in some way. Not everybody wants their kids and family on social media, and that's totally fine. That is just the way I have built my brand. And it can be your dog. It can be a certain water bottle, whatever works for you.
This one is where we did all healthcare workers together and we were just doing a trending dance. So I thought I had, I had to put this in here.
I think this is the one where the clitoris pops off, right?
Yeah. Yeah. There it goes. But just funny small clips, short, don't know what's happening next. But this is what— yep, it makes it go. It just makes it go.
And if you notice, like, I am drawn— and I don't know about you, if you guys know Cost and Mayer on Instagram— I'm drawn to their dances that they are on together and their short clips, and I could watch those all day. It just brings my heart joy. So then we try figuring out how to get in short little clips into our videos, and people, they do, they get caught in this trance of like, what's the next clip that's coming? So the short clip ones, especially in this social media world where you hear everything has to be like 7 seconds or less. I used to believe that way. But then, as you can tell on the ones that we've shown, the variety, guys, it's really a good mix of variety of that impactful educational Entertaining content that some are quick, some are longer. You change up your voices, you add in props to catch their attention. You might change your outfit, put on sunglasses. There's so many different ways to do it. But to get people to stop and get caught off guard, you want to look different than the last video you saw on Instagram, or people are going to keep scrolling. So you just want to— and you don't, don't overthink this. A lot of my stuff, if you look at it really hard, Done is better than perfect. And a whole lot of the time it is done. It is not perfect. I don't even know one that's perfect, but they're done. It's out there. It's out there to get the views. My goal is to get the views because that means there's eyes seeing it in the marketing world where those views are helping us spread the word of my mission, normalizing public health. We're getting out to you guys for this webinar. Okay. Woo. Here we go. Stories. I am a, a huge believer of stories. I probably didn't do stories as much until COVID, but I mentioned COVID is when I started being consistent on my stories. I try to get on there every single day unless I need like a mental health day. I'll toss one in where I don't get on at all for 24 hours. Stories is where I will show up though. I like to post my personal side of the day. So I wake up, I go for a walk. That's typically on there. I show that I'm walking my dog in the morning. That's my personal side. I like a walk. I try to relate it to pelvic health. I get on there a little bit more. This is what we're doing. Snakes at my house this morning. Hey, we're at the clinic. I love— and people seem to love the ones where you say like Tuesday caseload, and you list off what patients you're seeing today or what meetings you have. This is where on stories I will put up polls and question boxes and use all of the fun stuff that Instagram has when you swipe up. So here's a poll for today. Like, if you notice, I shared my reel. I posted a reel this morning. I share it to get more views. So it's shared in my stories, and then I put a reel there. How many of you guys are experiencing peeing your pants? And I have them tell me yes or no, like, are they doing that? Okay, that gives me— here's our snakes— that gives me an idea of, you know, who am I, who can I reach out with, with a message and ask them, hey, what are you peeing your pants with? It gives me an opportunity to get into their world. Hey, I noticed you answered yes that you are a Leaky with XYZ. Can you tell me a little bit more? Posting. These are the posts, guys. So posts and reels end up on your Instagram page. I like to say it is your marketing billboard. It gives people They look at your page, they're attracted to you, or they're going to start following you. So my posts are a little bit more controversial. This one is an orgasm post, and it was controversial because it had people going back and forth on— it's a swiper, a carousel where you can swipe and go through and see what all I have on there. And it was basically tidbits about like when we started saying women could have orgasms, what it meant by it, when the first vacuum was made versus when the first vibrator came out. The vibrator was for the vacuum, that kind of stuff. So it was controversial. People went in, I think I had a word misspelled. People had to talk about that. That gets comments on the video too. But that, and then recently there's one about like people sprain their hamstring and they go to physical therapy, but they have a C-section and they're not being sent to physical therapy. That's controversial. Like people are like, yeah, why not? We deserve PT too. What? And they start commenting on it. So having stuff out there that's educational, that is swipage is nice. If it's a swiping carousel, which this one is, it has 8 pages, but I don't know why it's not swiping. If this one doesn't— there we go. If this one doesn't catch people's attention, Instagram will show the next slide as people are swiping through, and then they'll show another slide if they're still not clicking to see if one of the other ones will catch their attention. Okay? But you know, bright colors, we wanna know what it's doing. Reels, we all just went all over that for you. So if you have any questions on that, please put that down there. My posts— thank you for asking that, Paula. My posts are done on Canva. C-A-N-V-A. Kelly, I'm gonna have you start talking about this. My battery's dying really fast, and then I'll come back in. I'm gonna go get a charger.
Okay. Sorry. That's okay. Posting method. There's 3 things. I would write this down, guys. Number one is the hook. Number two is the story, and number three is the close. So with any post, whether or not it's an actual post, a reel, whatever that may be, you want a hook. A hook could be the vulva that Amanda is holding up. A hook could be in one of those posts that I made, like you want flat abs. The wording could be a hook. What are some other good hooks, Amanda? You, you mean?
Yes. So the title's the big one. Keep it digestible, keep it short and sweet. Want more clients? That's what got you guys clicking, right? Yeah, I want more clients. Boom. Vagina, my head popping through the vagina. That's an attention grabber, something that's gonna make people wanna stay. Are you peeing your pants? Do you want to wear your tight jeans or getting your bikini body ready? Stuff like that is your hook.
Are you embarrassed jumping? Like, like, that's— you want to hit what I was talking about, that deeper why. You really want to put that on there.
It's kind of like when you're looking at trailers on a movie. What's that first line that catches people's attention? Okay, but it needs to be short and sweet. And to the point and digestible, meaning 3rd grade level or lower. Yep. Okay. Story. What are they learning in that short timeframe? The hook too, guys, when you're going through this hook, story, and close, people love a story where somebody becomes a hero in the end.
Okay.
Or we're heading towards that hero. Maybe we failed though, because that's real life. Like, what did this person go from point A to point B? That hook, story, close. The hook is the beginning. Where are they? What did they do? Close at the end. Okay, it tells us, did they get better? With the story, again, short little clips, or the story of how do I improve my C-section in that first week? You're just telling them a little bit about it, and you've got a good variety of how to do that with catching people's attention and making Little changes. Closing to the story is your call to action. I love putting on there, comment below, because comments shoot videos, they shoot our reels, they shoot posts, they let Instagram know, hey, this is a hot commodity. Okay, it allows me to either go down there, I either comment— I like to comment on them back to them. Or you can even hit the message button and send them a direct message. Hey, thank you so much for commenting on my C-section video. Wanted to know if you had any more questions. Tell me a little bit about your C-section. Tell me a little bit about when you're having your bladder leakage. Are you peeing when you're jumping? Blah, blah, blah. DM me. I'm telling them to directly message me. I'm inviting them into my space. I want to get to know them. Okay. Sharing with someone, you can ask that. You can ask them to tag a friend. I don't typically do that too often. Again, for me, commenting, this is my consistency piece. I pick one, I stay consistent with it. I may put on there if I feel like it's controversial. I think on the C-section one, I put on there, share, tag a C-section mom below, tell me how many C-sections you've had below, and please share with your C-section moms. So that gave them 3 different options in case they didn't want to do X, Y, or Z. But you want to make sure everything you're putting out has a hook, story, close. And that call to action is the biggest piece because you want to know who that you've seen is interested in this, okay? And who wants more information. They're basically telling you they want more information, they want to hear from you. So these are your people. Make sure you're nurturing them and then make sure that you're going back and commenting with them, asking them what they need. If they have a freebie, offer it up, send them somewhere. If they ask for something, give them a link. Anything you want to add to that, Kelly?
Oh, that was great. I think that's fantastic. How— okay, so the next thing is you guys are probably thinking, okay, well, great. Now you— now we got you to create the post. Okay, what— how to post. Now you're probably thinking, great, now how do I talk to these people? The next question that I typically get, okay, well, how are you going to talk to these people, especially if you don't have a large following? And this goes for everyone that does have a large following or doesn't, okay? But number one, I always send them a video over anything else. So for those of us that don't like putting our face on the, on the camera, we really should try to get over this because that is how people actually are mostly converted is through video and them seeing a live person. So what I will do, and Amanda does this too, we will go in the DMs and we will send a video of myself saying something to this person on the other line or on the other end of this thing and saying, hey Amanda, so amazing that, um, to meet you yesterday. I love that we got to talk about our C-section scar. If you want to learn more, I would love to get on a 10-minute free phone consultation with you. Let me know what day, time, whatever works best. Okay, and then I send it to her. The best thing is you can see when they saw it, so you can continue then to keep nurturing that. Now, if they don't answer, maybe you do another video. We've done this many times for when we're trying to get a hold of gym owners. Or it— so don't just stop at one video. One video is not going to just catch their attention. They may have gotten busy and forgot that you sent them that video, right? So keep trying to send them videos. They're not trying to ignore you. Maybe one has probably ignored me, but that's okay. It's okay. We all get ignored. Okay, if that doesn't work— that's the best form, by the way— then you can try a voice message where you hold down the voice thing and you're just Hey Amanda, so nice meeting you yesterday. Would love to connect over coffee soon. Please let me know when you're available. Send. Okay, then though, then there's another form, writing it out. Okay, written is not going to be as impactful as video. So when you can do video, guys, remember to try to do video to these people. Try to get them out of the DMs as quickly as possible. This is how I do it. Some people say keep them in the DMs and like you know, chat with them throughout the DMs a lot. I try to move them off social media because they get distracted and they will go and watch everyone's video and forget that I'm in their DMs. They really will. So I try to get their contact information as soon as possible. In the next slide, I'll show you an example of how I do that. But let's just say someone comes and you're like, wow, someone friended me because you were just going through those 10 different places and you friended the juice bar, they may look at your profile, friend you back. What you're then going to do is you're gonna— I want you guys to copy this right here. Oops, hold on. Right here where this is example. Hey Sally, that's Sally's, that's the person saying, by the way, hey Sally, thanks for following me. Would love to know what prompted you to follow my page. They may say, well, you just followed me. They may also say, a lot of times they'll say, Hey, I really like that you showed a video of you being vulnerable with your face, and I'm and I can so relate. I had the same experience, and then we can start talking. And then they may go a step further and then ask me, or I may ask them a question to get a response to where I can get their contact information to then pull them out of the DMs and then actually get on the phone with them. That's the biggest thing that you want to do on how you get a sale. Okay, and then again, start following people in your town. And I think the last thing here of the slide is followers don't necessarily mean sales. These are tools that we've taught you today to do marketing, to get eyeballs. But then you also have to learn how to build relationships online, which we're starting to do by friending and liking and commenting and all that kind of stuff on here. Because remember, Amanda said 10% of your 30 minutes a day should be spent on commenting, liking people's posts. That's how you're going to start to build the community. Okay, so to me, that's actually more important than having, you know, tons of followers, because you're actually then building those relationships. And when you build the relationships, that's the impact. And going back to my false belief at the beginning is No, I only want to meet all you guys in person because I really actually do. I do want to meet all you guys in person. Um, like, I can't make friends online, there's no way. But that's actually false. You can make friends online, you just have to keep nurturing those relationships, whether or not it is through DMs or you get them out of DMs and you start talking to them on other, um, you know, on WhatsApp app or whatever else, on different platforms. Okay, and here's the next thing of what I like to do. So we just put up a—I want to show you guys an example of how I get people from a post. So we just did this yesterday. I posted my abs on how to contract your abs better, like to get better abs. Okay, this is more of a technical post, but it got a lot of attention because it's abs. So people want to talk about abs. Okay, because of that, then what I did is I said I sent this to them. I sent this to all the people that commented me, which was a lot. And it says, tell me what you're struggling with when it comes to your abs, and I will make you a video to help improve your abs. Okay, this person then tells me her issue. Then what I say is, thanks for sharing this. I love to provide you with a quick tip for this. If you could share your email or phone number, I'd be happy to send you a video. So what I did, I had probably over 50 DMs of this, guys. I made a 10-minute video and I just made it of how to activate the different like obliques and TA contraction and just how to activate your abs. And it was I took all my questions or all the problems that people had. And I just put it and condensed it into an 11-minute video. And then I sent it to all the 50+ people that were requesting this. So now we got her contact information. And because we got her contact information, guys, this helps make your company more valuable. Just FYI, the more contacts, the more your company will be evaluated, and the more— when— if you get it evaluated, And the more that you can actually promote your stuff and spread your mission to these people. So this is why, like, we don't own Instagram, we don't own TikTok, we don't own any of these platforms. So the biggest thing is getting them, getting their contacts, and getting them out of these DMs so that you can actually nurture them and truly impact their life, because that's why they're reaching out to you. So that's just an example of how we did it, literally just Yesterday. So for those people that have stayed on to the end, we really appreciate that. I know we're a little we're a little over time. So we told you guys that we're going to give you something special today, and here it is. So we have five spots available to book a call. It's just a fifteen minute call. If you're like, hey, where do I go? And you want a specific question answered. We have five spots available for that. As some of you know, we are putting on an event June first through the fourth in Clearwater, Florida. Amanda and I, the first day, which is Thursday, we're going to do a whole day on marketing, on how to actually get patients, and you're going to have us in person. It's going to be such a collaborative approach. There's going to be so many women entrepreneurs there that are wanting to come together and collaborate. And then on top of that, you're going to get 3 more days of sales and marketing as well with Smart Success Healthcare. So if you guys are wanting to come to that event, and you want to purchase a ticket, there's a link right here. We can also put this in the comment section. Just click on that link. And if you purchase today, we are literally going to give you a 1-hour call with me to be able to specifically get your marketing strategy down. And for those mastermind people that are on here right now, I charge $700 an hour. And I'm literally giving you my time so that you can get clients and literally double what clients that you have now, double that. So if you're like, look, I'm really interested, this has been super valuable. Let me know, grab the spot today in that link. And we will get on a 1-hour call with you to really help map out the marketing strategy that you specifically need for your company. And anyone else that has questions, we have about 5 minutes right now. We'd be happy to, to answer that. Anyone can come off mute if they want and answer.
Hey, Kelly, can you put that link into the chat bar? Thank you. Let me go back.
Yeah, maybe.
Does anybody want to unmute themselves and ask a question?
It's okay, we're very, we're very, um, approachable. Yeah, approachable.
Let me stop sharing. There we go.
Hey, hey, who said hey?
Still not— okay, she'll post it in there for you.
Oh, that was Amanda.
Okay. Oh, me? Yes.
I said, who said hey? Come on.
Okay, then I'm gonna go back and look at, see what you guys— yeah, look at some questions. Um, About— so I saw you guys were saying that you use Canva a lot for— is that for Reels and posts or like all the stuff, or do you make any of it directly on Instagram? I don't use Canva for Reels. I, I don't know. I'm old school. I'm ghetto is I think how Greg calls me. I take the video, I go on Instagram, I edit it. in Instagram. I think people are still surprised by that, that I edit it in Instagram and then put the pop-up bubbles on Instagram. Instagram's been glitchy for the last month though, so I always have to save my reel as a draft because not all the little boxes are popping up. It even happened with a, a video I posted of Kelly and I last night. There's supposed to be 4 bubbles on the video and only 3 popped up on it. So I'm really trying to save the draft multiple times to keep all the wording on there. I like if it's gonna be little clips that you're shooting, like, let's say, B-roll, or you of your day, and you're merging 2 to 4 second clips. You can even have— there's transitions on Instagram that you can put in between each clip that makes it more appealing and eye-catching too, because your eyes watching it, and it's like, whoa, what just happened? Oh, we're back. Oh, what just happened? We're back. But everything editing Reels-wise for me is on Instagram, and I always save it before hitting share so I can repurpose it. But that's a topic for a whole nother webinar. And then Canva is where I do my post, my regular post, my carousels. The app is downloaded on my phone for Canva, so I can easily work on it on my computer, download it on my phone, upload it from my phone so I can work on the go. Because right now I'm Mama's at a lot of practices, so things are getting posted when I'm not at the office.
But what about you, Kelly? Yeah, sorry, what was the question?
Canva. Are you editing reels? I think you've done some reels from Canva.
So I'll do some reels from Canva when it does the carousel. I will put some on there like that. But mostly what we use is called Loomly, which Amanda said, the social media manager app. So we either— we do a lot of scheduling because my whole team does it. My pelvic health therapist helped me out with this and then my admin posts. So we schedule a lot, but we also use that social media manager called Loomly and it can manage Instagram, TikTok, all the things compared to Canva, guys, can only manage one platform at a time. So it's only going to be able to manage Instagram. It's only going to be able to manage one thing, not multiple. Just so you know, not multiple like platforms, just so you know. What else? Yes, Paula, if you guys want the 1-hour consults, you're just gonna register for the event. I will get a— we'll get alerts And I will literally get on the call with you and get things going right away to get you to double whatever patients you have in the door. That 1 hour can be very impactful to get to double your clients. So definitely.
Well, there's a question from Stephanie. I'm a mobile PT. How do you recommend boosting those businesses? Just stories and B-roll stuff? Mobile PT to me is the same as a brick and mortar, is the same as an online business. It's still a business and promoting it the same way everyone else is promoting cups that they're selling online for their MLMs. You know, like you, there's nothing different you are doing. Like I would, I think that's the question. I would stay consistent on how you're doing it. Just if you're gonna do reels, be consistent with how many you're doing a week. If you're gonna do carousels and post, how consistent are you gonna be with that? Stories, be consistent. Um, sorry, that's me. Uh, it's— so you're talking a little bit ago about posting like things to promote local businesses. So for instance, like on this call, like Orangetheory followed me, Adula followed me, and like some, like some other massage therapist just followed me. And I'm like, now I'm like connecting with them as I'm here. But like, like things like that where like, like there's a local spot called Kuka Juice. Like I don't have a brick and mortar to like promote Kuka Juice or something like that, but You know, ways that I can like offer them stuff to benefit them when I don't have anything like tactile or tangible for them.
Do you—
do they have cards like they can give you $5 off for your patients? Maybe I can ask.
What you can do is you're going to position it to them as, hey, you're going to go to the juice bar and you're going to say, hey, look, I have so many clients, whether or not you have 1 or 2 or 500. I have so many clients that actually want to, to taste some of this juice. Do you mind giving me coupons that I can actually pass out to my clients? And then how you're going to position it to your clients is you're going to go to your clients and be like, hey, look, you sign up for an evaluation with me, I'm gonna— I have a coupon to get $5 off this juice bar. You can— I have a 7-day free trial at Orangetheory. I have, and you can start to stack, guys. That is called value stacking onto your actual offer, and that's going to make it ten times more desirable that someone's going to actually sign up for you or with you. Thank you. Yeah, you're welcome. You could give one piece of advice to someone who just started their own business in pretty. Oh, saturated area, what would you say? Ignore all those people and just go for it. That's what I would say. Literally put the— I'm not kidding. Like, you think I am joking, but I'm not. Um, so often than not, of many pelvic health therapists that I coach, guys, people start comparing themselves of, oh, I don't have this, or oh, I don't have a space and I'm only mobile and whatever else, or I'm only lymphedema and I don't do pelvic health. Like, don't. Just literally, especially put your blinders on like this, and maybe you have to block them all for the moment. Not to say that that's a bad thing, but maybe you just put your blinders on. You say, you know what, I'm gonna focus on me. I'm gonna focus on my mission. I know who I am. I'm gonna get very clear on that. And again, if you're not clear on it, book the call. Like, literally, if you're not clear, that is our job to get you Very clear on where you want to go, what you want to do so that we can get you clients. That's our goal.
And I, I block people on Instagram. Like, I know if I start to feel negative or lack of confidence because I'm seeing those profiles, it's getting— it starts eating at me and I start comparing myself. Then I have to block them from my stories or block them from my feed. You can do it for like a minimum of 30 days. Get your mindset together and move on. And also, like at the very beginning, we used it as a marketing tool. We talked about that Instagram is not a place for you to go on, or social media. If you're on for your business, it's not a place to go on and scroll and get happy feelings for you. You are using it for your business. That's why it's a timestamp. You get on, you do your business, you post your content. The last 10 minutes of that 30 minutes, you're commenting and liking the businesses that you're hoping to reach out to and connect collaborate and create a partnership and you're getting the heck out of Dodge. So we don't get negativity and we don't start comparing ourselves and we don't think, oh, I should have said it this way. No, you be you, boo. People want you. They want that raw you. They don't want you trying to fit in that mold. Okay? People can read right through that shit. Keep it simple. Keep it who you are. Keep it authentic.
Yep, for sure. All right, guys. Yeah. Mic drop. I think that's good. We mic dropped it. That's good. So it's been so fun having you guys on. Thank you so much for staying to the end and listening to, you know, all this fun information. Hopefully you guys learned something. But if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us. Yeah, it's been so nice seeing you guys and meeting you guys. We love it. So we will, we'll do it again soon. No problem. Bye, guys.
Consistent. Be, be consistent. Go do it, guys. Bye-bye. Bye.
