The conversation emphasizes accessibility (self‑paced on‑demand exercises, live Zooms, community), functional/home‑based movement, community support, and practical business growth coaching.

Welcome guys. Today is going to be an epic episode because we are actually in person live with two pelvic health physical therapists. One being myself, Kelly Alhueey with Pelviz.
And Amanda Fisher with Empower your pelvis.
What's up pelvic posse? And today we are coming together to collaborate and talk about things that we've been doing other than just treating patients. And I think it's going to be really eye opening for you guys to understand that treating patients is one side of being a pelvic health physical therapist. But there's so much more that we can actually do as pelvic health pts and bring so much awareness. So we're going to go ahead and get started. So Amanda, can you tell us what you have coming up? I heard and I saw something about like a membership site. So can you give us some more information, details on that? Yeah.
So I we have an empower your pelvis membership site that we just launched this past week and the whole goal behind it. If you've been a pelvic PT for a while or you're just starting out, you may realize there's a little bit of a gap between when our patients see their gynecologist or their OB GYN to when they see pelvic floor PT or maybe they don't see pelvic floor PT and there's this my doctor never told me or I wish I knew sooner. So that's where this membership site really grew from. I really wanted to put all of pelvic health for the Women's Health in one location and Start educating our audience, y'. All. That's what we need to be doing is educating, letting them know, giving them knowledge of, hey, if you're experiencing this discomfort, this pain, or if we can prevent xyz, we can go to one location and get all that information at once, which is, to me, incredible. So we just launched the postpartum piece of our membership. Bowel and bladder is on there as well. We've got return to exercise and then every single month we're going to be dropping a new topic. So we've got menopause symptoms and diagnoses that might be popping up with that. We've got menstrual health, we've got pregnancy, we've got all sorts of things that women are going to experience across their lifespan from really like teenage years all the way up past postmenopausal. So I'm really pumped for that.
That's so cool. Amanda. So how did you come up with this membership site? I'm just curious of how that happened.
I don't believe if it wasn't for Covid, this would have happened. Because when our clinic shut down back in March 2020, it was April 2020 that I started seeing all these ads and seeing, I think it was Tracy Shear that did a membership for gfam and I was like, okay, if we can do a membership site where people can put their information on it as pts to get out there to the public, why couldn't we have a membership site that our patients or our audience, our clients could come to and benefit as well? And so that's when it really started. But then the clinic ended up opening back up. I put membership site on hold and then now, recently I had some time to focus on it and just decided to get it done and do the dang thing.
That's amazing. And I think so many people that are out there struggling with these issues can use this membership site to be able to have access to things that potentially they didn't before. And I think it's really going to be super beneficial because they can do it at self paced, right? They can do it at any time, correct? Yes.
So we've got self paced exercises or what I like, I call on demand exercises. So there's going to be mobility, there's strengthening. It's really, it's not like your sweaty exercises that you would think of when you think, I'm going to go work out. This is more how do we retrain the core and how do we get the breath work and the pelvic floor involved with the core. But then I'm very big on functional movement at home because I have three kids. And I realized, you know, I didn't have to go to the gym to really go pick up kettlebells and weights and squats. There was plenty of things around my house. Laundry baskets, laundry detergent, diaper bags, car seats. The list goes on and on. So a lot of the exercises are looking at functional movements that you're not only doing during pregnancy and postpartum with kids, but again, throughout your lifespan with grocery bags, bottle of wine, whatever you're lifting around the house. What can we use there to help strengthen the. To strengthen your muscles? But then also, we've got live exercises, live zoom calls, all starting after this month, starting March of 2022. And we're going to expert interviews on there as well. So any of our members who sign up, the first 150, are going to be our founding members. So they're going to be locked in at a cheap price. They're going to get access to the lives of asking our experts, you, you know, questions that they have maybe that pertain to themselves and getting the answers that they really need. And then we have our pelvic posse community where they're going on there, telling us a little bit about what they've got going on if they want to prevent any issues or wanting to improve them, and really chatting with the rest of the public posse because you start to realize where you feel alone and your guilt and shame and symptoms that you might be having with pain, with sex or pelvic organ prolapse, feeling the pressure down there, you know, someone else is probably going through it too. Statistically, we know that with a lot of these public health symptoms, statistically, a lot of us are dealing with the same thing. So having the community where you can really talk and realize and maybe resonate with someone else's story, I think is huge. It helped me through my public health journey, and I think it could help someone like you as well.
Yeah, I think all those things you just said are freaking amazing. I think really having just the stuff around the house, I think that is so huge. I feel as pelvic health pts, a lot of times we feel like, oh, this exercise or this exercise or this exercise. And I really, truly believe if you start using the things around your house, especially for busy moms, no mom has time to be like, hey, yeah, let me spend an hour on these, like 20 different exercises as my PT just gave me. They just don't. It's not realistic and so I love this approach that you are taking wine bottles, that you are taking laundry baske and using those as weights because that's so functional. That's so relatable. Moms can do this at any point in time. And it's not just moms. Women, you don't even have to be a mom. Just in general, we have this stuff around our house.
Right.
So I love this. I love that it's so accessible and that anyone and everyone can do it, no matter what symptoms that you have.
Great. Thank you.
Yeah.
Okay, enough about me. Kelly, I got to know you've been planning a huge event in the pelvic health community that I believe we have like what, five weeks left.
Five weeks.
Guys, you got to tell us, tell us what it is, what's going to be happening at the event, who needs to be there and who can benefit. Because I know I'm excited and I'm.
Gonna go and Amanda's gonna be one of the speakers, guys. So Pelly Biz it is going down in Tampa, Florida, April 1st through the 3rd. Guys, we have a beach house.
Mark your calendar.
Yeah, mark your calendar. We have a beach house. We have this awesome space that we are actually recording in right now. Facility. So half the people are going to be virtual and half are going to be coming in person. So you can catch this at any time. There will be a recording and it will be saved in your library. So if you cannot make it on those dates, no problem. Everything will be recorded and put in a library that you can go back and watch at any time. This event is for any pelvic health PT and OT that is looking to grow their practice. So someone that may be looking to hire on a pt, someone that's looking to hire an admin, someone that's looking to find space, someone that is like, hey, I don't know how to go past this next step and they're stuck. This event is for you also. Anyone just starting out, like starting their practice and they're like, hey, I really don't know where to turn. This event is for you guys. I have been through the gamma of this, of myself, of it going from mobile to in my house, treating to then getting a brick and mortar practice and then, you know, doubling my space in a different clinic. So I've been through it. I've coached many other pelvic health PTs and OTs on how to progress yourself through the steps. And that is what this event is about. It's a two day event and we are going to take you to the next level. So wherever you're at, we are going to bring it up a notch. Also, when you sign up for pelvis, you get coaching with me every single day. You have access to ask whatever questions that you have. Because what I want is within the next month. If you're starting out, let's say at tier two, I need to bring you to tier three even before Pelviz starts to happen. So we are really leveling up. We've already had fantastic results. People have already been in the program for a month now and we have had people go from $0 to 6k. We've had people hire on their first therapist. This is just all within the last month. We've had people go from $0 to making 4k. Being will sell packages, being able to overcome objections. I mean, it has just been freaking awesome. And this is what's going down. So I cannot wait for Kelly Biz.
This is incredible. I'm really excited for you. If you don't know Kelly's story, we'll get into that in a second. But what we have experienced together, Kelly and I with say it's a virtual event. The fact that you're taking time to mark on your calendar block time to take care of you and grow huge, it's going to change your business. Just in that fact that you're taking time to change what you're doing and move to the next level. If you're able to come in person, you're going to feel the energy that this woman has right here because not only are we going to be in the studio listening to everything that she's got to say to help grow your business, she's going to use examples, probably call on you, really help focus on your particular business and make those growths happen. But breaks where we have lunch, dinner, ask anything, we've got some activities planned afterwards for people that come in person. Do you want to tell people about that? Where you can even ask more questions and get to know? I think that's where we learn the most when we're together at these events is the collaboration not just from the speakers, but from everyone else around you. You start to realize, oh, Susie's got this going on too. How can I use that in my business? How can I switch it up just a little bit to make it work for what I've got going on in my clinic or in my practice?
Yeah, no, it's huge. The people are actually what makes the event. Absolutely. And that energy that you get from the people is truly what makes it be like, you know what? I'm going to freaking go home tomorrow after this event and just be like a rocket ship. And. And it happens. Right? The energy is just amazing. And when you collaborate and know awesome other pelvic health, PTs and OTs that are going to be there, you can rely on them and be like, hey, are you in this situation? Me too. So what can we do about it together? And it's a win, win.
You're always learning something from someone else. You may feel like your business is in a great spot, that you know it all, that it's really thriving. But I guarantee if you do an event like this, it's going to take you to the next level that you didn't know how to reach yet. So being able to realize, like, maybe you're making the money you want to make, but you want just a little bit more. You may hear again, what did Kelly do? Do you want to tell us a little bit about how you got started?
Yeah.
Because there are some things that she did that I thought I was doing well, but she, like, gave me a little fire in me that I'm like, oh, we got to get back out there and do it this way, too.
Yeah. So I just started with $800 in my bank account, and I literally was a mobile physical therapist.
And this is during COVID Yeah, Right.
When Covid hit, and no one was talking. No one was talking to me at all. No one. Everybody was six foot away. Right, right, right. No, it wasn't.
No one was coming close.
So I just stood on trailheads, and I literally was screaming at people, hey, can you come over here and do this movement assessment in this parking lot with me? And that's how I started to gain confidence, gain knowledge that people actually want help during COVID times when no one was really getting treatment then.
So if nobody knows what a trailhead is, she's on the side of a trail where people are running, biking, their dogs.
Hey, look at me. Do you have back pain?
Let me stretch you out. Okay. So really visualize her being there. I'm sure it was a sight.
I was like a homeless person. So I literally am a doctor of physical therapy. Been practicing, you know, what, for 10 years. And I'm like a homeless person standing on the side of the road screaming at people that I, you know, hey, can help them out with their issues. And that's how I launched. That's how I launched Orthopelvic.
So from then. Then you had mobile practice outside of.
Your house, then I did a mobile. I did mobile. I was sitting in cars, parking decks for four or five hours, driving four or five hours or an hour away to go see a patient. It was just crazy. Then after that, I brought it in my house, and I had just a treatment table in my house. After that, I finally got up enough courage, and then I got a brick and mortar practice and then started hiring. And after that, we just doubled our space this summer, and now, you know, we're growing.
We have seven.
I started with zero people, and now I'm at seven employees.
Truly incredible. One thing I absolutely love, and I love more than one thing about you, Kelly. But the one thing I really, truly love is her desire and her just, like, I don't give an F. Like, I'm going to go do it. I'm going to do the damn thing. Because she doesn't let fear get in the way. And when you spend more time with Kelly, that starts to rub off on you. So if fear is really holding you back, and it is, Fear can hold us back from what we're wanting to do or what we're being called to do. So if you can even make it to the event virtually, you will feel this in person guarantee 100% more than what you're going to be feeling on the online side. But both would benefit you either way. She's a fire that you want in your life. It's going to change you. It's going to change your business. You won't look back and think if you don't do this event. You will look back and think, why didn't I do it? Or why didn't I do it sooner? Yeah.
And I'm super pumped, guys, to have you guys here. I really am. I really would love if you can make it in person and would love if you're even online as well.
If you come in person, you might dance with our fluffy vaginas and vulva costumes that we've got. I'm sure they'll be here. They've had to make an appearance.
They will be here, guaranteed. And like I said, we have chef both nights, so you get to hang out with Amanda and I and just chat it up with us, ask us any questions. You know, Amanda has a brick and mortar practice as well, so she can answer any questions on that as well. So it's just going to be. It's going to be epic.
It is epic. I'm excited.
Yeah, super excited.
All right, guys, if you have any questions on that, you can ask Kelly. Yep.
