Goodbye OrthoPelvic. Hello, Vision Bigger Than Me.

Kelly Alhooie (speaking on her Pelly Biz podcast) announces she sold OrthoPelvic (sale effective April 1) to focus full-time on Pelvibiz. She explains the decision through personal reflection — approaching age 40, a wellness trip to California, buying a house in La Jolla (last February), and prioritizing peace and passion over maintaining two demanding businesses. She describes practical steps taken (contacting a commercial realtor, listing/renting property, closing the company sale) and urges listeners to follow their gut, offering to coach others through similar transitions. The video links these events to recent Pelvibiz activities (Pelvibiz event at end of March/April) and frames the change as the start of an intensified, mission-focused chapter.

Foreign. What's up, guys? Welcome to Pelly Biz podcast. I'm your host, Kelly El Houy. Today I want to give you a big, big, big life update. So this is a big announcement and I will get into it. So I have sold Orthopelvic. Yes, the rumors are true. I have sold orthopelvic as of April 1st. And I want to kind of get into what. What led to that decision, what that decision kind of entailed. It may be like couple step podcast here, but I want to kind of get into maybe the transition of it. Let me start there first. So for those that may or may not know, I am almost 40 years old, and I have just been thinking lately where it's like, I'm just trying to squeeze the most out of life and just making big changes for myself in general and really kind of reflecting over the last, you know, six years, what has that brought in? And it has been. It has been the most crazy, amazing, insane ride I've ever been on my life. It's the most exhilarating, it's been the most fun, it's been the most triumphant, it's been. Been the hardest, it's been lots of pain. It's been everything and all in between. And it has created a life that I never even knew existed or could have. And I think that is, like, super cool. And I kind of want to just touch upon that. And like, I think I was just thinking, you know, I'm almost 40, like, what do I want out of life? Like, what does this look like? And so about a year to a year and a half ago, my gut was telling me, hey, this looks different than what you're pro. The path that you're on right now, it looks actually different. And I'm like, does it look different? I don't really know. But I kept fighting it because that's all I knew was like, just keep building Orthopelvic. Build Orthopelvic. Build Orthopelvic. And. But my gut. And I even said this multiple times through my Mastermind members throughout the years. It's like, I really just want to focus on Pelly Biz and just you guys. But I was. I guys, I had two companies, two major companies. They weren't like side hustles. They were major companies and major companies, at least in the healthcare world, okay? And it would. It's just like, how do I manage both of them, right? And I was at a point where I was like, what do I want? What does this look like? They both work, which is amazing. And I'm so thankful for they both work. But it's like, what does life look like? And if you guys have been following my journey for a while, you'll know that we moved here to Virginia to help out my father in law. It was a place I never wanted to be, and it's caused me lots of pain for being here. And my goal has always been to move back to California and be at a place that provides me peace and have my girlfriends there and good weather and all that kind of stuff, right? And so I, in January, decided to take a break and I went to California for two weeks and I did everything I possibly could. I did IV therapy, I did beach walks, I did yoga therapy, I did meditation, I had an acupuncturist, I had massages every single day. I did all the wellness stuff that you could do every single day for two weeks straight. And man, oh man, my body absolutely loved it. And it was like, please give me more of this. And I really just started listening to my gut on what my body needs because I've ignored it for the last six years just on trying to move orthopelvic to the beast that it has become. And I was like, I. Like, I'm turning 40. I think that was part of it. And I need to make a change. I need to make a change and I need to go with what my gut says and where I need to follow where my piece is at. And so, you know, I was just like, all right, like, maybe, maybe I need to put orthopubic up for sale. Like, that was a thought. But then I was like, yeah, okay, but like, I. For those, I don't know, I own my all. I also own my office space, so I'd have to sell that. And my realtor said that it takes at least 16 months to sell an office space. So that was going through my head, like, how am I going to sell my office? How am I going to pay rent on that if it takes 16 months and I don't have a company? And all those thoughts are going through my head like, this is just not possible. And I was just like, I don't know, but this feels so good right now in California with me doing wellness and taking care of myself. And so I remember back to a time. So I asked myself this question. I think it's good for you guys. Like, when was the. When was the last time I felt my best? I need you guys to. To ask yourself that. Like, when was the last Time I felt my best. And the time that came to my mind over the last six years was when I was in Laguna beach at a high end networking event. I had my husband and my dog, we had an oceanfront hotel room. And I said, how do I do this every single day? Because this is when I had pure joy, pure happiness. All the pain I've been through over the last six years, it just like literally went away in those two to three days that we were there. And I said, I have to do that. So I thought back to that moment and was like, this, this is it, I have to do this. And that happened in, I think around like August time this past year. And so that was a moment of moment for me that also stuck in my head. So that was like, also something that reinforced what I was feeling in January of like, I need to be in California, I need to give to myself, I need to have the beach. And then for those that don't know, we also bought a house in California last February, and so in La Jolla. And I've been flying to and from that house when I can, when I have the opportunity to. And so, you know, it's been some time of going back and forth. It's coast to coast. We're in Virginia, it's in California, It's a five and a half hour flight there and back, you know, so it's not a easy flight, to say the least. And so I basically was like, okay, we have this house there. That was the goal. And I thought, okay, well, once I have this house, then of course, now I made it. I made my dream come true. We have this house. No, because Orthopelvic still needed a lot of my attention. And by the way, there's seasons in Orthopelvic. There are seasons where I was completely pulled out for years at a time. There are seasons where I was completely in for a year at a time. There are seasons where I was in and out. So it's it. I just want people that are listening to this to know that like once you feel you made it to the top, guess what? You haven't. There is no top. It. There's ebbs and flows, there's seasons and there's cycles or cycles in business. Every single person, I don't care how good you are, will cycle in business good and bad, just so you know. And yeah, I just, it's just been a journey of it. So I thought, okay, well let me get this house, then I made it. And that's not that just Wasn't the case. And so I knew that Orthopubic needed a lot of my attention. And so it made me realize that I have to make a decision. I had to make a decision. And when I make big decisions, I really just go with my gut. I had a business coach that was so against it of letting go of Orthopedic. He was just like, no, you need it. You need it. You. Because he was. I mean, that's kind of true. Like, that's where my income comes from. And I was like, I'm. My heart's just not in it. Like, I can't do something I'm not 110% in and passionate about. I have to be 110. And when I'm 110, it's game freaking on. But when I'm like, 90, I still. Or even 100, like, guys, I. No matter what I do, I go 100. But when my passion is fully in it, just game on. When it's not, it's just, I'm. I can do it. Clearly, I've done it. But my gut was telling me, kelly, all these things have built up and, like, it's time. It's time to let this go. And guys in this decision did not come easy, to say the least. It was a decision of almost like quitting your job all over again. But the stakes were way higher. Like, quitting your job, when I look back on that, seems so much easier and so much less risk. Even though some of y' all are probably thinking, like, listening to this right now, you're probably thinking, wow. No, it's not. It, like, that is so easy because you could just go back and get a job. Like, literally, you could leave your job and go back and get another one if you decided that's what you want to do. When you're kind of at this next level, you have assets, you have people, you have responsibilities, you have other things. And so you have to, like, how are you going to support those other things? So you have to think about that. And for me, it wasn't about. It wasn't about money. It was about peace. That's what. That's what it came down to. Peace. And what gave me the most peace? And. And what do I want to look back when I'm 80 years old and reflect back on my life and say, damn, most people wouldn't do that because it's all, like, starting over again. But, wow, I'm proud of myself for doing it because I pick peace and happiness over anything else. And, like, I can really say honestly I'm very proud of myself for it. And for those that know me, I don't like dwindle and like think about things 24. I just make a decision for me, I'm. I'm a quick thinker. So it was a thought many times. And then just one day I was like, I'm doing it. I in the day that kind of like really push it is. I was in Vegas at a conference and I had this guy come on stage and his name was Andy Elliot. Basically he gave this amazing speech and he was like, he said, what the F are you doing right now? Like if you feel like you need to change, you need a freaking change. And I'm like, is he talking to me? So I went back to my hotel room. I literally, I remember recording this video. It was like a 10 minute video. I posted it actually online. I didn't know if I was going to post it or not. And I said, I feel like I need to call my mother right now. Like what would she tell me? I think she would tell me go for it. And my mother actually saw the video and she was like, I'm telling you to go for it. And I listened to her because she was the only person that believed in me in orthopelvic. She's the only person that said go for it. And she was telling me again to go for it. And it meant a lot. Yeah, it meant a lot. And I knew in that moment I was like feeling it. I knew in that moment that I had to change. Like that 100 was my sign. Even though I was like feeling it. But like I. That was it. And I had to let it all go. I had to let all the hours go, all the pain go, all the building of it go. Like the whole thing, I just had to let go. And I. That was in February. And then I called my commercial realtor and was like, hey, we gotta sell this building. It takes 16 months, but we gotta sell this frickin building. And she was like, okay. And I said we gotta sell this thing fast. And we are closing on it very soon. We sold the company and we even put my house up for rent here in Virginia. And the ball just kind of got rolling very quickly. And this is all going down, guys. Before, remember we had Pelvibiz event at the end of March and April. This is all going down literally like one week before Pelviz event and during pelvis event, which for those that don't know for pelvis, like that is Our big event that we have to put all of our attention in throughout the year. And it just couldn't have been more perfect timing, but not perfect timing at the same time. Like, it all worked out, which is great, but it was just like, whoa, whoa, whoa, what's happening? What's going on? You know? And I really. Part of this decision was really believing in pelviz mission and knowing that that's ultimately what I want to do. And I've been saying that for a while, and it's just like letting go and just believing and trusting that you can do whatever you're highly passionate about and make it work. And I need everyone listening to this right now. About, like, you guys have got to just go with your gut. That's the first thing I would say. Number two, have massive belief that you can do the thing. Like, I think I was able to let go for the public because I have massive belief that I can change many, many, many pelvic health providers. And I'm very passionate about it because it was me, because I was a person in all that debt, stuck in so much pain, living paycheck to paycheck, working four jobs, burning myself out, killing my hormones, doing all the freaking things. And orthopelvic gave me an insane life. An insane life that most people won't be able to experience, but that I have the keys to it. And I want to share that with you guys. I want to share that with you guys. Whether or not it's online or brick and mortar. We can do both. I've done both, guys. I've done both. Built a seven figure practice in person, and we built almost a seven figure practice online. So, like, I just need you guys to understand that if you need help, like, I need you to reach out. I'm not just like, oh, this is hypothetical. I've done it. I've literally walked it. Any problems you guys are probably going to encounter, I probably have been through. So, like, this is why I'm so passionate about it. Because, like, I don't want people to have to go through the pain and the struggle and the crazy situations that I've been in because of it. And so I think this journey has just brought so much self awareness. I think it has brought just like, I don't know, it's just brought. And sometimes I don't even process it yet because it's all relatively new. But I think going forward, it's going to bring more peace. That's what I'm hoping for, more focus on pelvis that's what I'm hoping for. I. I think standing firm on really what I want. Like, and I think that comes with age. Just, like, stepping into truly who you are and going after that and, like, really helping my passion and my purpose. And I remember even at orthopelvic, like, coaching my patients, and to this day, I still have patients calling me. They're like, kelly, how do I leave my job? How do I do this? And I remember that ultimately was my passion from day one, and I would help people do that, and it's what I like, and now I'm just stepping into it. And orthopelvic was just what I was great at. Like, meaning I was just a good therapist. Wasn't a great therapist. I was a good therapist that wanted to change everyone's life. And so I don't know if y' all are going through, like, a big shift. You have to really listen to your gut, listen to your intuition, and, like, go for it. And if you need someone that's, like, you need one person to freaking believe in, you, call me, text me, DM me on Instagram, and say, should I go for this? Like, literally, should I? I want to be the mom that's like, yes, you should do this, honey. You should, you know, go for it. Now. It has to be a good idea. But, like, I want to help. I want to be that one. I want to be my mom to y' all of, like, that one person that deeply believes in you and that no matter what is, like, good job, honey. You tried, like, good job. And. And that's it. That was. That was it, the decision. It didn't take long, and it was quick, and it was just a decision. You got two paths. I don't get stuck on one. You just pick a lane, and I pick Pelvibus because I have more of a passion for it, and I want to help you all make more money, get your freaking time back, and understand there's a life, even though y' all don't even know and even believe that you can get that life. There's such a different life out there than what we've been taught in school and anything else. So, yeah, I just want to give you a life update also with some lessons behind it, some storytelling, and get you guys to, it's okay to be scared, but go for it. You got one freaking life. You got one life and make the best of it. And for me, I'm halfway through, and it's time to even be more epic. Like, get ready for Those people that have trusted me with Pelby Biz. Pelby Biz is going to the next level and all eyes are on Pelby Biz. All focus is on Pelby Biz. And it's game freaking on. It's game on because I got a lot of people I gotta help and. And y' all are gonna need it with the way this, you know, economy shifting and all that kind of stuff, y' all are gonna need it because the way we've been taught, they're going to burn. You're going to burn out and you're going to croak. And I don't need you to do that because you're going to give up on your dream and say, man, what happens if I just did it a different way? I could have had this. I could have had my time back. I could have had more time with my kids. I could have lived by the beach, whatever it may be for you. Right? So, yeah, I'm excited. I'm really, really excited. I can't wait. I. I love change. I know some of y' all hate change, but I absolutely love change. I live for change. I'm always changing and growing and I just feel like this is the next chapter to elevate things times 10. I will have more access, I believe, to higher level people that I have wanted to connect with for a while more easily. And yeah, I'm just, I'm freaking excited. So it's game on. So here we go. So thanks guys for listening and if you have questions, you can always DM me on Instagram and be like, should I do this? And we could talk it out and see if it's the right decision to make. So talk soon, guys. Bye. Bye.
