Likeminded live speech

In this live keynote, Dr. Kelly Alhooie shares her personal entrepreneurial journey—from having $800 in the bank and $230K in student‑loan debt to building and selling a multi‑seven‑figure brick‑and‑mortar practice and founding an online coaching company that has helped over 450 female founders. She structures the talk around three core lessons: (1) Speed – the power of making rapid, decisive actions; (2) Gaps – identifying underserved market opportunities, exemplified by her creation of the "Orthopelvic" concept and the health‑wellness sales/marketing platform Color Biz; and (3) Belief – cultivating self‑confidence to overcome financial hardship, relocation challenges, and personal setbacks. Throughout, she weaves vivid anecdotes about calling her mother for advice, selling her office building, relentless house‑hunting on Zillow, and ultimately moving to La Jolla in May 2025. The speech ends with a rallying call for the audience to act on their intuition, seize opportunities, and trust their vision.

I saw a video with a vagina costume and she said, from vag doctor to business coach. Cannot wait to hear what comes out of your mouth today. Welcome, Kelly. All right guys, I had $800 in my bank account and I was $230K in student loan debt. When I decided to bet on me, I decided to quit my full-time job and go all in. I had no patience, I had no business plan, and I had no clue what I was doing at all. For those who don't know, my name is Dr. Kelly Alhooie, founder of a multi-seven-figure brick-and-mortar practice that I ended up selling, and then founder of an online business coaching company that I still have to this day. And we have helped over 450 female founders across the US be able to scale their businesses. Super excited about that. And so today I'm going to tell you 3 reasons why I'm up here right now and why every single one of you guys can do the same exact thing. So first thing, speed. I was sitting in a room just like you guys are today, right now. And there was a guy on stage and he was like, do it freaking now! Do it now! Make the decision now! And I'm like, oh my God, I think he's talking to me. I think he's talking to me. And he was like, every single chair that you're sitting in is worth $100,000. I'm like, really? Okay. And so I was in Vegas this last year. I go back up to my hotel room and I'm like, okay, he's talking to me. I gotta make a big decision. I'm sitting there like this, and I'm like, okay, I think I need to call my mom because she's always my board of advisors, even though she knows nothing about business. Call her. I'm like, Mom, I think I'm gonna sell everything. She was like, okay. Um, and so then I owned my building. I called my real estate agent, and I was like, I think I'm gonna sell the building. She was like, what? And she's like, yeah, it's gonna take you 14 months to sell your office building. I was like, all right. And then I called another advisor and he was like, yeah, it's gonna take you a year to sell your actual practice. I was like, okay, well, I'm gonna do it. And in that moment, guys, this is the lesson for some of you guys today. It may be this moment right now in this room where I need you to feel that you need to make a change. What is the change? What is it? As women, we have amazing intuition. My intuition told me for years that I needed to make a change, and I didn't listen to it because my business coaches were like, no, this thing makes you so much freaking money. And I'm like, yeah, it's freaking amazing, but I hate life. I hate it. And I was like, I'm going after what I believe is my dream and what I really want and what my passion is, which is to help female entrepreneurs. And that's why I'm going for it. So right now, if you feel it in your freaking gut to make a decision Make the decision. Speed. Make it now. Do it now before you leave here. Second thing, gaps. The first thing, I was the first person that connected the dots. You guys know like the old song, it's like head, shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes. Okay, I connected the orthopedic conditions, which is like your shoulder, knee, hip, and your pelvic floor. So I coined the phrase orthopelvic. Which is why I called my company Orthopelvic. Because of that gap, I was then able to grow to multi-seven figures in two years very quickly. Second gap I saw was anyone in health and wellness? Health and wellness, anyone? Okay. Second gap I saw us as providers and coaches. We suck at business. We don't know. That's why we have all these people up here trying to help us. What do I always do? So everyone kept asking me, Kelly, what are you doing to grow your online? What are you doing to grow your, your brick and mortar? And I was like, uh, well, here you go, here's the plan. And I would just give it to them. And because of that, that's why I've been able to help over 450 female founders, because I just kept giving and giving and giving, and it was scaling their business to multi-six figures. And I was like, wow, like, I can do this and I can help other people. This is freaking amazing. So I saw the gap that health and wellness providers, we were lacking sales marketing systems. So that's why I grew my second company called Color Biz, now well founded, to be able to scale. And last thing, belief. Belief in you. Y'all gotta believe in you. For those that don't know, I lived here in Irvine, California. I was forced To go to Virginia to help support my husband's dad that had ALS. It was a horrible situation. I had to leave all my friends behind. I had to leave my family, like everything. And I was in a place that I absolutely hated. And that's why I started 2 companies, because I was like, okay, we gotta get out of the situation. Mind you, my husband and I went to the same medical school. We were $360K in student loan debt. And I kept thinking about, how do I get back to California? I just want to be in California. So every single year, we didn't have any money, by the way. I wasn't even at zero. I was at negative $360K. Negative. And I was like, okay, gotta get there because that's how I felt amazing in California, not in Virginia. So from there, the first year, we spent 2 days out here back in Irvine, and we're like, oh, we love it. And then the next year came by and my business coach gifted me a stay at the Peak Hotel in La Jolla. And I was like, oh my gosh, I need to be back here. The third year, then I rented out an Airbnb in downtown La Jolla. Now that this is it, I'm gonna go and I'm gonna get a house here. I don't know how, I'm gonna figure it out. So I went to a, uh, a neighborhood And I was like, one day I'm gonna buy a house here. And I went into the open house that was happening at the time, and I was like, yeah, this is my neighborhood. This is it. I made a decision. I said, this is it. Every single day I was on Zillow looking for 7 years straight. 7 freaking years saying, one day it's gonna happen. My husband said he's only gonna move if I was able to have a new home for him. And by the way, locally there's no new homes. Okay? So I had to do a full-on reno. But, and then if he could only move with one bag that he could just fly a one-way flight, that's the only way he was going to come. And I was like, deal, I'm going to make this happen. So May 2025, I sold my business and I sold my office building. Okay? And I had, mind you, this company was multi-seven figures, big profit. And my coaching company was not nearly as much as my brick and mortar. But guess what? I believed in me. And I need all of y'all to believe in you. Whatever the vision is, I need you to go for it. Don't think. See quickly. Move. Have one vision. Don't let anyone tell you it can't be possible. My HOA sued me for putting in an air conditioning unit because I was perimenopause. But even in the whole process of going after your dreams, I was not gonna let anything take it away. And in May 2025, we were able to move to La Jolla, California, and now we're here forever. Thanks, guys. Go after your dreams today. Come on. You guys, are you kidding? Her story is crazy. Oh my gosh. So inspiring. Okay, next up.
