In this solo coaching video, Kelly Alhooie addresses solopreneur clinicians (therapists, chiropractors, occupational therapists) who have reached the $10,000‑per‑month revenue milestone yet feel exhausted. She argues the root cause is not the income level but the absence of repeatable systems and the lingering "hustle phase" where the owner does every task themselves. Alhooie outlines a two‑step remedy: first, grow revenue to a level (around $15K/month) that can comfortably fund part‑time or virtual assistants; second, pinpoint the specific tasks that cause burnout (e.g., phone answering, client booking) and delegate them after creating clear SOPs and training processes. She stresses that every business function should be systematized to bring order to chaos, which reduces fight‑or‑flight stress. The video also provides concrete growth tactics for both brick‑and‑mortar and online practices—daily multi‑platform posting, SEO‑optimized blogs, podcasts, funnels, email/text sequences, and community engagement. Finally, Alhooie tackles the mental barrier to hiring, reframing staff as a lever for the owner to move from "doer" to "leader" rather than a source of additional stress. She invites viewers to discuss their limiting beliefs and consider moving beyond solo work to avoid chronic burnout.

Are you making $10K a month and you're still burnt out? Well, here's the real problem. The problem is you lack systems. That's just the straight up honest answer. You lack systems because you're in the hustle phase. You're in the let me get the business off the ground phase. And by the way, $10K, it's amazing feat. It's probably more than you made at your other job. However, it's not What got you to $10K is not going to get you past $10K or isn't going to stop the burnout. Just so you know, like the $10K is not going to stop the burnout. So how you have to look at this is, A, how do I get past $10K so that I can pay people? That's the first thing. And the second thing is, is what is the thing that is burning me out? So I take the first thing that I can think of, like what is the thing that's burning me out? Is it maybe answering the phone calls and booking the clients? Like, maybe that's, maybe that's my first thing. So what I do then is I basically say, okay, who can I hire for this? Doesn't have to be full-time. It can be part-time, lower commitment. Okay. And who can take this over? And then what systems do I have in place to then actually train that person so that they are proficient at what they're doing and not just I'm paying them and I'm wasting my time and their time. That's key. And so if y'all don't have systems, which most of you guys do not, I mean, we found that so many people do not have systems. I didn't have systems when I first started either. I didn't even know what a system was. But I quickly learned that everything needs to be into a system so everything has structure and everything has a place and there's an order to the, the chaos. And when you can organize the chaos, then you have less of that fight or flight coming in and you're able to problem solve and work through situations in a more calmer state than thinking that you, you have to just keep doing this. And like, that is like, that's part of the build phase. You got to be in hustle mode. And by the way, I have lived in hustle mode for years until I realized this, that that's not probably good. Which is why I had a rash all over my face. But you know, there's ways to solve for this. And so ultimately you want to be making around— even $15K would be great so that you could hire on an admin and/or a VA or someone, and you can at least pay them $2K, $3K, $4K to help take things off your plate. Guys, that's how you solve for burnout. That's how you solve for it, okay? Um, you— that's like the only way. And there will be a hustle phase up until the $10K where, you know, you're going to probably be up to like 10 patients to make that $10K at $250 a session, and you're gonna have to go and do all the things like, and get people to know you. So it's posting online, it's being out in the community, it's giving for free, it's attending certain events. It's to get people in your community to know you. And this is specifically for brick and mortars. You've got to do that online. If you're trying to hit $10K online, you have to be posting at least 3 times a day on all platforms. You have to know how to tweak your website. You got to know how to do blogs. You got to know how to do AIO. You got to know how to get on other people's podcasts and different things so that they can link you to an authority of what you're claiming your authority is. You have to be in these groups, the Facebook groups, and you've got to be talking in the Facebook groups. You got to be DMing people. You got to be commenting on certain things. You got to know how to set up funnels and emails and text messages and all that. So that's what's going to get you to $10K a month. But again, both phases, whether or not it's online or brick and mortar, you— it is the hustle phase. You're doing all the things, and that is what tends to cause burnout. And so to not have that, you want to be in these phases the shortest period of time. You do not want to extend this. And this is the biggest problem I see with our field is they feel that they want to be a solopreneur for years and years and years, but that is the thing that will burn you out. It's the number one thing I see. But therapists and chiropractors and OTs, they really believe that that's the thing that will not burn them out. They believe that if you have providers on or other staff, that that will burn them out and throw them over the edge, but they're actually there to help. You're paying them to help you, not harm you. So like, why wouldn't you hire? And I get it's scary. It's just the scariness and the things that we're telling ourselves, but it's just not true. So like, do you want to stay solo so that you can just burn yourself out? Like, that's— that is the road that you're basically saying, I'm gonna stay solo and I'm gonna burn myself out. Comparatively, if you hire, you're able to pull back from patient care, you're able to actually lead, you're able to actually think. And that's what you should be doing as the business owner. Otherwise, you should just be an employee and work with patients all day long. That's it. So guys, remember these lessons. These are such big lessons on, um, you know, on what the real problem is. It's, it's really truly your mind. It's your mind keeping you stuck. Your mind saying, I'm just scared to hire because that just sounds scary and I don't know anything about it. So I'm going to tell myself a story that if I just stay solo, that it's going to be way better for me. But your brain didn't tell you that it's going to cause you to burn out. No, it's going to cause you to burn out because you're doing all the things. Don't do it. Just don't do it. All right, guys, for those solopreneurs, please, let's, let's chat. Please, let's chat. Let's just chat about what's going on in your head. I would love to hear what's going on in your head and like what things you're telling yourself. And let's see, is it really true or is it not true?
