The Cash Practice Model Healthcare Professionals Are Switching To

In this solo episode of the Pelvic Biz Podcast, Kelly Alhooie outlines the characteristics that separate a good healthcare business coach from a bad one, specifically for pelvic‑health clinicians and online practitioners. She stresses hiring coaches who have personally achieved the outcomes you desire, emphasizing the importance of role‑modeling. A quality coach asks probing questions, tailors their approach to the client’s learning style, and offers flexible delivery formats (packages vs single sessions). Alhooie advises selecting coaches who are many steps ahead—ideally twelve steps—demonstrating proven results, such as PelviBiz’s claim that participants can earn an additional $22,000 per year. She critiques reliance on external marketing agencies, arguing that in‑house, specialty‑focused services (ads, website development, hiring, training, sales systems) are more effective because they understand pelvic‑health language. PelviBiz’s proprietary digital marketing platform, PelviBiz AI, automates social media and content creation for clinicians. The episode also promotes a mindset shift toward investing in comprehensive coaching programs that build lasting assets (software, systems, revenue streams) rather than merely creating another job, highlighting the freedom and financial security that asset‑based businesses can provide. Throughout, Alhooie conveys enthusiasm for the PelviBiz ecosystem, positioning it as a turnkey, continuously updated solution for clinicians seeking to scale their practices while maintaining personal freedom.

Welcome to Pelvic Biz Podcast. Today we want to talk about healthcare business coach and what makes the difference between a good one and a bad one. Let's get into it. So number one, I never hire a coach that I don't want to be like. I think that's massively important. Okay, have they done the things that you actually want to do? So I'm not going to go and hire a finance dude that if I don't want to be a finance person, right? Like, that just to me is obvious. But for some people, they hire these coaches because maybe they saw them on the internet, but they actually have not done what, what they, you know, want to do. But they just hire them because they're— that they only know them, right? So that's my first recommendation: hire the people that have been there and done it and have done what you want to do. The next thing that I say as a good coach— good coach asks a lot of questions instead of talking at you and telling you, oh, it only could be this way. So here at PelviBiz, we have methods and systems, but what I also say with that is that, you know, this is a system, but also you can tweak it if you would like because it's you know, not always the be-all end-all. Like, packages is a good example of that versus single sessions. I think depending who you are, it actually could work both ways, you know. And so some people are always like, no, it only has to be packages. And I'm, I'm like, actually, depending on how you sell and you feel, that may not work for you, and that's okay, right? So having Being able to be flexible with people and coach in different ways, I think, is also a skill set from the coach's perspective to the client to get to under get the client to understand what their learning style is and like how to actually coach them. That's a good coach. Okay, and so I don't believe that it has to be one way, and that's the way. The next thing I would say is, has that person Not only are they two steps in front of you, but are they like twelve steps in front of you? I'm gonna hire someone that's twelve steps in front of me, not two. So I'm not just gonna hire for someone that like is just kind of on the same path as I am. Like I need them to have done it and have proof of it and have coached many other people. So I think that's like the fourth point is like how many people have they coached and what are the results of those people? You know, for us at Pelibiz, we've gotten massive results. You know, we have proof where. If you participate in the actual program, that you will be making an extra $22K within the year of working with us a month. So, like, you know, if, again, if they're in the program participating, like, that's the stats that we have because we have people fill out audits and all that kind of stuff to make sure that we can keep track of it. And that we're growing and moving forward. And so, uh, I think that's another thing, like how— and besides that, it's not only like the moms get to pick up their kids, like that's a massive win. The moms get to go on a vacation with their kids and have their practice running or have their online business going. Like those, those are the massive wins besides just the numbers, um, that we see in the program. And that's like really, really cool. The other thing is how diverse I would say you know is the program. So like for us, we've hired marketing agencies. We've hired ads people. We've hired oh Lord um oh we've just done a lot of hiring and we realize that no one does it better than you because you know your people. A marketing agency doesn't know how to talk. To pelvic health. A marketing agency doesn't know how to talk doctor language because they aren't it. They're marketing. And so it was, it was really frustrating throughout my journey building the online business and then also building the brick and mortar, being like, well, no one can really talk this language. So we decided to take it in-house, which is why we have such a variety of services. We, we do your ads, Google and Facebook. Um, we do websites, we do Oh, that was the other thing— websites. You know, like, oh, we had so much trouble with that. Like, they just don't know how to speak to the people, and/or they'll do a basic job, and then if you don't know anything about websites, there's no backlinks, there's no, um, embedded codes and all the pictures. Like, there's none of that in there when we really dived into it and started to understand websites. But you don't know because you're just hiring out to just go do the job that, you know, you know how to do. And so like all these problems that we have stumbled upon, we're like, we're taking it on ourselves because— and then helping our clients specifically because we know the language, we know how to actually do it very well, um, and we know the outcomes that we are specifically looking for because we are in the trenches, you know, with you guys. And so it's not like an outsider trying to look in. And so we know specifically It's just like a really good combination rather than hiring a marketing agency just to try to do this. So we found that to be really effective in helping our clients. We also have our own social media app. Basically, it's our own digital marketing app called PelviBiz AI, and it literally does your social media. It posts blogs on your website. It does a lot of different things, and we're You know, ever building it too, because it's a massive tool that people can use, specifically in healthcare. So we do that. We stay on top of AI. You know, we do Tech Tuesdays. We have different programs. We do tons of modules. We have tons of calls. We have, you know, there's just so much. There's just we do tons of strategy. We have our own software. We give you your own software. So that you can implement that into your business so that everything's organized. We have our own systems. So everything, we have our own sales system, we have our own hiring system, we have our own training system. We have, I mean, every single thing is in here. And so I think when it comes to a coach, to me, I want something comprehensive. I may not use everything, but I want something that is the whole package and the whole system. So that like I can just implement it from step 1 to step 2 to step 3, step 4, and it's like done, right? Like that is what we do. It's, it's done. We hand it to you. This has worked on, on hundreds and hundreds of other practices and online businesses. So here you go. And, um, I think that's the cool thing about our program is that it is all like, it's done and you can just go in there and tweak it. You know, and based on what you need and your strategy. So like, that's the really cool part. And so, yeah, it's like, why not? Why not take that? Like, it's a no-brainer because it's taken us like over 3 years plus to build all this out and it's ever-changing, ever-growing. We're always auditing it. It's not old, it's all new. And it's just like, yeah, I don't know, thousands, hundreds of thousands of dollars of payroll. So it's like I don't know, I just find people that aren't willing to invest are losing. Because if you're not willing to invest, you're not taking the opportunity to better yourself faster, which allows you to not go through all the pains. And it's going to cost you so much more money trying to figure it out on your own, and so much more time and torture. So it's like, duh, this is like a no-brainer. Um, and so, but you have to learn mindset shifting. You have to learn that investing is key and it's not saving that's going to make you money. It's actually investing. And I think maybe I'll do another podcast on that because that to me is, is huge. When I started to invest is when I actually got massive returns, um, always in my own business. So I just think, you know, What makes a better or the best business coach? I would say ones that have actually walked the walk and have completed the cycle. Meaning, like, I can truly say I'm one of the very few that actually has freedom to do whatever. I'm not locked down to my clinic anymore because I sold, and I'm not like— I'm also not, you know, locked down on a computer screen. To Zoom calls every single day either. Like, I can have a free schedule where I can go out and do whatever I need to, where I'm not on a computer screen all day or not stuck in a treatment room. And if that is ultimately what you want to accomplish, then here at PelviBiz, again, what makes us different is I show you how to build assets, not just have another job for yourself. And when you can do that, the assets make money while you don't have to physically be in front of people, and that is key. And you live off of your assets. So if you don't know how to asset build, the faster you can do it when you are younger, the better you are going to be when you're older because you're actually going to have assets to live off of. So I think that's key too, is not just creating another job and staying solo. You know, I don't really believe in staying solo because it just It never works out well because you're always going to be in the business at all times. And I think people think this fantasy land that it's not going to be that, that way, but it is. So you always have to be on when you don't have backup, and you can never be sick, or your kids can never be sick, because otherwise there goes the business and you still got bills to pay. So it's a whole nother podcast again for another day. But I would say that's what makes a business coach Great is one that's been there, done it, done it, helped other people, and has a very, very clear laid-out pathway with lots of resources and lots of different ways to build to be able to live the life that you want. That's key.
