In this motivational talk aimed at physical therapists, PT students, and pelvic‑floor practitioners, Kelly Alhooie argues that the conventional healthcare model is failing clinicians and patients alike. She shares an anecdote about a PT student who is already earning more than many practicing PTs by offering coaching services, illustrating that the skills clinicians already possess can be repurposed for direct‑to‑consumer coaching. Alhooie challenges the perceived necessity of state licensure, suggesting that clinicians can legally provide guidance without a license and that fear of legal repercussions is largely unfounded. She emphasizes a shift from symptom management to problem‑solving through coaching, positioning clinicians as entrepreneurs who can deliver results beyond the constraints of traditional practice settings. The talk highlights a massive unmet need—approximately 25 million people experiencing pelvic‑floor leakage in the U.S. versus only about 700 specialized practices—making a case for group coaching as a scalable solution. Alhooie concludes with a call to action, urging listeners to step up, become coaches, and contact her for guidance.

So like, think about that. If you guys are scared, because I know most of you on here are like, I'm freaking scared to do that because my license— it's BS. They have fooled us. They have fooled us, guys. I can tell you right now, I currently have a student in one of our programs, okay, that is literally making more money than most of y'all PTs, than most of the treating PTs out there. And she's a PT student. She graduates in December. Okay? She's making more money than most physical therapists out there right now. Why? Because she's coaching. She's coaching. She's learned to use the skills that she already has to then go ahead and start helping people. And so now she's seen this and she's like, Kelly, now can you help me help these people in PT school, like, really start making money before they get out because they become coaches? Yes, I can, because that is part of the mission, is us to get out of the traditional healthcare model. It doesn't work. And for all those that are so afraid that something is going to happen to you What's the worst that could happen? Nothing. No one can come after you. If someone was going to come after you, sure, they can take away your license, maybe. But why do I need the license? You don't need the license. To please your parents? I'm just being honest. For an ego for yourself? I don't know. This is why we must become coaches, guys. We must become coaches. So that we can go outside the box and truly help these people actually solve their problem and not just, oh, that's a symptom. Let me just try to manage that for a second. No, we're not symptom management. We're actually problem solvers. And that's what I want everyone that's listening to this, become the best problem solver. And if you become the best problem solver, you will never live a day that you're like, oh, I don't know how I'm going to get money. But if you do not change, the system will eat you alive. And it will make you burnt out, resentful, angry, mad, all the things. Because A, you can't treat the way you want, and B, you're freaking so frustrated because it's just not what you thought it was. And plus, if you work for someone else, you're never gonna make above like $85K. A year as a doctor. You can't survive on that in these days. You just can't. So when are we all going to wake up and say, no, we've had enough? Why can't we treat someone in another state? Why? They have a problem, they reach out to me, why can't I treat them? Yes, I can. I'm going to coach the crap out of them and they're going to have freaking amazing results. I'm going to coach the crap out of them and they're going to have freaking amazing results. So I think most of us need to wake up and not be so scared and not be so intimidated and do things differently. And the people that are willing to go outside and be the brave ones and like be like, yes, I believe in this, I'm going to stand up for the freaking patients— all y'all stand up for the patients all day long, but you need to stand up for what's right for the patient, to actually get help by the people that they want help by. And that's you, because you have the solution. We know 25 million people in right now, in today's world, has leakage. They have leakage. 25 million. Do you guys know there's only 700 pelvic floor practices across the US? Did you guys know that? 700. So that means that there's a crap ton of people that have problems that are not getting their problems solved. Why are we not group coaching them? That's what I'll leave you with today. Why are we not group coaching them, and why aren't you the one stepping up to the plate to be able to do that? Guys, if you have questions, text me at 703-783-2388. Text me and we'll talk soon. Bye, guys.
