Virtual coaching vs Physical/ occupational therapy in pelvic health

YouTube video by Kelly Alhooie arguing that the future of pelvic-health services is shifting from traditional one-on-one in-person therapy toward virtual and group coaching models. She presents virtual coaching as more accessible, flexible, and scalable — lowering cost for patients while increasing provider hourly income — and encourages therapists (PTs, OTs, chiropractors) to adopt coaching skills and offer teletherapy and group programs.

What's up everyone? Pelby Biz here. Alright, so today I'm going to talk about virtual coaching or virtual therapy. We're going to talk about both. And what is the difference between them? I think this is a really good point you guys need to know about because this is the future. No matter what people are saying out there, if you believe that this isn't the thing, well then you're just not in the market. You just don't understand the market. All right, so let's talk about what is therapy and what is coaching and what is virtual coaching? What is a group coaching? All these different things have different names. I know it gets confusing because we all have just been kind of in our little box that has said, hey, you have to actually do it this way. And you know, it's only been done this way and that's actually not accurate because so many things are changing. As you guys have probably seen, there are a lot of influencers now online and I call them influencers because a lot of them do not have some kind of medical background. Meaning they didn't like traditionally go to traditional school to get their training and then move on from there. That what they did is actually now there's these courses or these trainings that are like six weeks or six months long that people can now take and then be able to become a provider. They're calling themselves providers but they're not actually doctors. They just got assert. That being said, it really had me thinking when I really saw this and took time to really explore it and I said, why us as therapists not being able to go across state lines? Why are we not able to be the people that help anyone in the world? Why are we limiting ourselves when everyone else isn't limiting themselves? Why are we. Because we're so scared that our license is going to get taken away. I hope everyone's license gets taken away because actually we would have more autonomy than what we have now with the handcuffs behind our back. It's crazy. It's just like they're limiting us. Like the insurance company limits us. It's the same thing that our own freaking boards is doing to us. So y' all have to understand this isn't the way anymore and, and you have to get off the train of traditional. And I know some of my people in the pelvic health land are very traditional and they keep barking at you of all this stuff to keep you stuck and broke, but please don't listen to them, Please, please. I, I truly believe what we do at Pelby Biz is the best in the business. I. I truly believe that and I can say that accurately because we have the best results I've ever seen in any Mastermind and any programs. And I've been in a lot of programs and that's just the truth. And I believe the reason why we have that is number one, the people we attract. It's not just me, the people that we attract. And number two, it's how we are able to stay on the forefront of things so that our people are hitting, hitting the trends or hitting the thing of what they need to be doing before anyone else. And I believe speed wins and I believe trend setting wins. Not copying your competitor and then trying to reinvent the wheel doesn't work. Okay. You can try as hard as you can, but it's not work. So that being said, I believe that the market is shifting into. It's shifting into virtual coaching and group coaching. So traditionally what has happened is you treat a patient one on one, you're selling a service. So it's one on one. I still believe that is going to be a thing. Just to be clear. Okay. I don't believe that's going to go away because traditionally there's still going to be traditional people that want one on one. Okay. However, I know that there's also very busy people and I also know that a year from now, two years from now, probably quicker than you think, people are not going to have jobs. We lost people that have jobs and lots of people that don't have jobs. People that can't have jobs. If you're not shifting with the market, how are they supposed to pay $250 a session? They're not going to be able to. I don't care what skills. Objection. Training you have. They're not going to be able to. So what is some way that we can still make the income that we want without selling our time to then be able to continuously create and live a life that we want without doing that? And I believe the solution is group coaching. And I came up with this. I didn't steal it from anyone. I didn't copy anyone. I really have been thinking about how to do it and I think it's group coaching. And what I believe with that is group coaching. You're going to treat one to many. So what's going to happen is you're going to say if you have leakage with working out, we're all going to be in a group together and they could be like one to two weeks off from Each other, okay? And they're going to come in as a group and anyone that has that issue, that's the day and the time that they're going to be seen and. Or they can have pre recorded videos, right? And they miss a week, no problem. Just watch the video, okay? That's all they have to do. And it's as simple as that. But I believe you, 95% of the people that are watching this video probably won't take action on it. They won't because it's too weird and foreign. Just like this mushroom that I'm holding in my hand right now. Okay? It's too weird and foreign that I believe that people are not going to do it. But I do believe it's the future of what's going to be had. Because what's going to happen is it's going to drive the price down for the patient. So maybe they'll pay 100 to 130 a session. And then what will happen is it will drive the price up for us on what we could make per hour without selling more of your time. This is key, okay? And so yeah, I believe if you're the first to market to do this and take this idea, you'll win the game. You know what? And maybe I should just do it and show you guys, but that's the way this is going. And so if you are not on this trend and believe that everyone has to be seen in person, you're gonna be, you're gonna be very broke and you're gonna be very limited and you may end up building a business that you absolutely, that you absolutely despise because it takes all of your time to physically be there in person. How many of you guys want to be able to spend time with your kids? Or if your kids are traveling, how many of you guys want to be able to like go on their trip? But maybe you also can work and see a patient. Well, guess what? That's virtual, okay? You could do that virtually. It gives you freedom. And that's what people want. They want time. They want time actually more than money. They want time to do the things that they love. And if you aren't thinking about a way or if you don't have a coach that thinks about how to decrease time and decrease overwhelm and be able to get more money, then I don't know what the coach is doing, okay? And you gotta be able to say what's, what's coming and be prepared. And that's what I help people with. I help people Be able to do virtual coaching online, whether or not it's health and wellness, whether or not it's a performance plan, whether or not it's an amazing, really beefing up the hep. Whether or not it's you becoming more wellness, where it's your focus on nutrition and exercise after their whole plan of care. Whether or not you just want to be teletherapy, we also do that as well. Like all these things are going to continue to rise and they're 100% underserved and they're continue to rise. And I can't tell you how many people need our help. And I believe there's a couple things that are limiting it. I believe certain coaches are limiting access. I believe they're doing a huge disservice to the field. And I believe the system is limiting. Is limiting the way we've all thought and practice and done things. But I do believe people are smart and I do believe the system and the clients are shifting on what they want and what they actually desire. So I just want to make this video today because I want to talk about it and I want to talk and have a real conversation about teletherapy, virtual coaching, coaching in general. Most people are moving into coaching. And I highly recommend, if you're an occupational therapist, a physical therapist, a chiropractor, you need to become a coach. And we're here to teach you that. How do you become a coach? Because when you can become a coach, you can help other people in a different way than just one on one. And still, even if you are one on one, you can still become a coach. Okay? And that's what the lesson is from this video is. I want you to become a coach and learn how to actually coach. Most of us are so freaking scared because we don't even know how to coach. And so that's why a lot of us won't do it. Because coaching is different than manual therapy. Okay? Coaching is different. I have to be honest. Okay, you have. It's coaching is object to that. So that's why we got to start today and freaking change healthcare. We got to freaking change healthcare. And that's the freaking mission of pelvis. It's a freaking mission. That's what we got to do. So it's my wisdom of the day today with my mushroom pillow. How cute is this? Okay. All right, guys, if you want any more information, I'm making lots more videos. Comment below.
