Hey. Day 114 Coffee with Kenny. I'm Kenny Keller, creator of helicopter airline ground school. Got something kind of neat. Just want to show you real quick. And then we'll get to a question about Robinson training and training syllabus over the weekend. I mentioned yesterday me and my daughter went went shopping get some cool stuff for the hangar. Altitude, airspeed, brains. You need two of the three to survive. Kind of cute, kind of cool. I like it. We should insert here for helicopter pilots actually. This should see altitude, airspeed, rpm. That's the way you're going to be safe. That's the way you're going to survive. So we'll put this up on the wall. I got a couple others will debut some other new coffee cups. But today's on the go because I'm in a hurry as always. But it's Monday and I'm getting started. So Brian Rutledge text me. I was on my way here. Brian Rutledge is our operations manager. Operates out of California law enforcement pilot, 30 year aviator. 30 year pilot. And he hadn't seen the videos that over the weekend in the new hangar. And I was anxious and I kept, I was gonna text him and say hey man, I thought no, he's busy. Busy flying. Eventually he'll. I'll hear from him. And he texted me this morning on my way out here and he's like, dude, just watched yesterday's video from Hogg's hangar. Freaking so much more professional looking in a hangar with the instrument in the background. I have goosebumps with a bunch of smiley faces. And I was so thrilled to hear that because I'm thrilled to hear that. I'm thrilled to be here. We are now at asw. That's the Warsaw Municipal Airport in Northern Indiana. People keep emailing, wanting to know what the identifier is when they're going to head up here. ASW is the identifier just moved in. We've got lots more to do. But it's already beautiful. The most pristine hanger I've worked out of in 20 years. The most clean hanger I've worked out of 20 years. And we're going to keep it that way. A lot of cool stuff planned. We're going to have a lot of fun in here. I'm just thankful every day, man. When I get up and come out here, it's amazing. So from Alan, he said, hi, I'm Alan, starting my training in the R44 and the instructor is using the R44 training syllabus. Does your Online private pilot match the Robinson training syllabus. That's a great question for somebody that's just getting started. And here's the answer. Our syllabus that we followed for our online ground school for the private pilot, we follow the Helicopter Flying Handbook, okay. Which is what you should be using as a helicopter pilot today. Private pilot, commercial pilot, instrument pilot, certified flight instructor, designated examiner. That's what the FAA says we should be following, kind of our helicopter bible. Okay. And I can tell you I've worked with the R22 syllabus and the R44 syllabus. And when you go through those syllabuses, those syllabuses which I have to say, Robinson training is some of the best training on the planet, in my opinion. I've been to the Robinson Factory Safety course. It's a great course and hands down, some of the best money you will ever, ever spend in your life for training. You get several days of training. You get to go out in the aircraft for the amount of money they charge. It's a bargain, absolute bargain. And what I noticed early on when I was training and going through my ratings and becoming an instructor and going through that Robinson syllabus, you will find the verbiage in the Robinson syllabus isn't real far from the verbiage you see in the Helicopter Flying Handbook. It's not word for word, but the basics of training in a helicopter, other than buttons and switches being different places, airspeeds may be a little different for a VNE or a never exceed speed on an auto rotation. But when you're learning to fly helicopter in general, it doesn't matter what helicopter you fly. Okay? Helicopter is a helicopter. Again, buttons and switches in different places. Maybe some numbers different here or there. What we do have inside helicopter Land Ground school, we have an R22 specific section. We have an R44 specific section. Not even a section, a whole course. And then also a course for Enstrom. So to answer Alan's question, as you go through our private pilot online ground school, you're going to be getting all the information that you need to know as a private pilot to help you with the written test, oral test and the practical test. Then Allen will need to go to the R44 specific. Again, more than a section. It's a whole course. And that's where we talk about and show you specific training to the Robinson R44. We go through emergencies, we go through descriptions of the aircraft, lot of R44 specific stuff. And we use an actual R44 aircraft in those videos for the pre flight inspection and certain things that we're talking about. So as a private pilot, the information you really need to know is pretty much the same. Yes. For different aircraft. Different numbers, switches and buttons in different places. You might find a maneuver here or there varies a little bit, but in general they're not going to vary that much. I can tell you I've been flying 20 years, I've been teaching almost 20 years. I've flown a whole bunch of different aircraft. I'm qualified in a lot of different aircraft and other than small changes, what I do on a daily basis, it doesn't matter what aircraft I fly. Again, startup can be different. Shutdowns are going to be a little different. Orders can be different. The way you approach certain things is going to be a little bit different. But the essence of helicopter aerodynamics, helicopter safety regulations. Now, the Robinson has special regulations that you have to know if you're flying an instrument. There's a lot of that that doesn't apply to you. If you're flying a Schweitzer, that doesn't apply to you. There are specifics for the R22 and R44, but that's to keep everyone safe. That's to keep everybody on the same page in making sure that you have the training that you need to stay safe in a Robinson helicopter. Okay, I brag up instruments all the time, but I like Robinson as well. I like Schweitzer's. The Cabria haven't flown yet, but Taz Christman and I 2018 Flight Instructor of the year. We are going to be going out to Oregon to fly with precision helicopters. They've invited us out there and honestly, I'm just waiting for Tas to get his schedule opened up because Tas flies for the Air Force. Tas flies in the civilian world. Taz instructs in airplanes and helicopters, does aerobatics in airplanes, teaches in a Schweitzer. So needless to say, Taz is a super busy man. So when his schedule opens up, we're going to go to Oregon, fly the Cadbury, and yes, we're going to do a couple videos there. We do have a video from Heli Expo where we talk to two of the guys from Precision. The instructor's there because people are asking me continually, I'm getting questions about Cadbury or Cabri, however you say it. So we went to Cadbury at Helie Expo and said, hey, for our viewers, tell us about, tell us about your aircraft. That video is about day I can't remember, it's in the Kenny the Copy with Kenny playlist. So there you go Alan, jump in the private pilot membership. It's only $49 a month. You can cancel anytime. You can come back anytime, you can self cancel. I still get those questions. People are emailing me hey how do I cancel? And we've been hitting this pretty heavy for the marketing for the last three months. But that's okay if you haven't caught one of our daily videos to unsubscribe you can just go into settings within Helicopter Land Ground School and unsubscribe yourself. If you not if you signed up with a credit card. If you signed up with PayPal you have to go into PayPal and unsubscribe. You can do that at any time. We can also do that for you if you can't figure it out. Doesn't take us real long. If depending how busy I am it might take a day or two before I get to it and unsubscribe for you. And if you're trying to come in in the last day of and your cards getting ready to renew and you email me at 2am sorry, you know you might get billed again. So the best thing is to do is go in unsubscribe yourself. But of course we can always help you with that. Not a problem. Not a big deal. All right. Warsaw Municipal Airport, the new home of helicopter online ground school. I'm so excited. Brian and I had a conversation before I clicked record today. When he sent me that text, I just had to call him and go, I've been waiting to hear from you, man. I was getting a little anxious, but I know you're busy. And he goes like, dude. He goes, oh my God, he's been watching me for 20, well, seven years basically. And while we're on the phone, he's going back and looking at videos from back in the day, right? And we're both giggling and laughing because we all get a little bit better with time, right? So remember, altitude, airspeed and brains. You need two of the three to survive, okay? For helicopter pilots, you really need altitude, airspeed and RPM. Hell yeah. See you in day one 15, right? Yeah, this is 114. See you tomorrow in day 115. Thanks everybody. Oh, yeah.
