There's steam coming off that baby. All right, day 127. This is a Sunday. I want to get back home, but we're going to do a quick one. This is about one of our members here, Mike Fisher, who just got his commercial rating and I want to share a little bit about his feedback with us. We get a lot of great feedback and we have the HOGS Wall of Fame and we'll get those on, those pictures back up and displayed. We love every story, every picture. We're going to reprint all those on our new studio walls. Heather's going to reprint those in bigger and better color. So. Oh, yeah. By the way, I'm Kenny Keller, creator, Helicopter Line Ground School. This is Coffee with Kenny, day 127. It's Mother's Day. So I know everybody's got stuff going on today, so we'll get to this. Right off the bat. I just wanted to share this one specific email. I'm not going to read the whole thing to you, but I want to hit some of the fine points. He agreed with me. What I say in the videos, the commercial and the private are very similar. You just go so much more in depth at the commercial level. And he just took his checkride in Texas. Had to get past some bad weather. I passed it. I'm so grateful to our helicopter pilot community. The checkride or on flight was quite extensive and the HOGS videos, along with Veracity Aviation, the Texas space school I've been training at had me well prepared. I also attended the Robinson safety course a few months prior to add to my foundation, which I highly recommend. That's a great, great way to add your knowledge. Last year I began flying and earned my asel, then rotor add on and now this latest commercial accomplishment. HOGS was the only all helicopter online course that covered every possible corner of rotor preparation that I could find. It is worth every penny and I highly recommend it to complement any other training programs your candidates are currently utilizing. A lot of the material is fresh, some overlaps, other training, a lot of it reinforcement, some entertainment, and that helps the material sink in. We do try to have fun, you know, during Helicopter Line Ground School. We don't want to make it all just boring. We want. We want you to enjoy it while you're in there. Whenever a subject seemed not to settle in, I would wait a few days and revisit it. Good job. That's the way a lot of times we absorb this material is you have to go over it and over it again as many times as it Takes you're not going to learn every subject first time. Hands down, you know I failed my private pilot and that's why I excelled when I went back because I studied and I went over and I went over it and I went over it because we learned through repetition. Watching videos, writing down notes, reading on your own, everything helps you learn. I've recommended HOGS to everyone that asked me for resources to aid them during their pilot certification. I'd reinforce to members, don't underestimate any of the material. It's all fair game on the checkride. Aside from the oral. All throughout the flight review I was being asked questions in depth to test knowledge and multitasking of abilities. And he states the commercial exam is nearly the same as Private, but as you say, it's much more extensive in what you're required to know and demonstrate. So yes, there are some differences but you will find once you go to the commercial and do it after the fact, you're going to go, hmm, that was pretty darn similar to my private. It is similar. I love the Short Hogs videos. They allowed me to plug and play in bite sized pieces throughout the days and weeks while training and studying. That's why we've designed it that way. In the beginning I made them an hour long. Nobody can sit and watch any hour, any video for an hour. Very tough to do. It's a movie theater, that's one thing. But when you're trying to watch and learn, that's why now we keep the videos five at most 20 minutes. But that's rare. We try to keep them more in five to ten minutes so you can catch a piece by piece. You know the private alone has 120 videos so. But they're all short, right? Majority of them are short. So you can go through grab a couple here, grab a couple there. That's why it's built that way. My heli partner Jaco was one of your featured pilots you recognized a few weeks ago as he just completed his rotor. Private Pilot using HOGS as a training. Let me restate that. Private Pilot using HOGS as a training complement to our flight school. There are three of us that are learning in the R44 Raven 2. I look forward to it taking my fellow skydivers up for helicopter jump soon. Great job, you and your team. Kenny's respectfully, Mike Fisher. Thank you very much Mike. Thank you for sharing a picture with us and sharing that feedback because I'm always telling you as a prospective member what it's all about. There is from one of our ground school members. So he just emailed me again and he's going to unsubscribe. But he goes, I'll be back for the instrument when I'm ready for that. So that's how it works. That's why you can do the monthly option. You can use the training as long as you need it, take a break as you need it and then come back just like what this gentleman's doing here. And this is more frequently in the beginning we didn't do that. And it's turned out to be a really good option for most people because you can go through the private, you can be in for a month or two or however long you need it. You can take a break, unsubscribe and you can come back work on commercial CFI instrument. That's the way it works. Seven years.
