Brian Cash used Kenny Keller's Helicopter Online Ground School to prepare for his commercial checkride and scored above average on the oral exam. His examiner recommended him for a job, and he became the first to sign the HOGS Wall of Fame.
Hey, it's Kenny with Helicopter Line ground School. We have Brian Cash here with us in studio today. He's one of our ground school members, been a ground school member for a couple years. He's the first one to come in and sign his picture on the Hogs wall of fame. So it's kind of cool he's here flying with Gary this weekend. So we had him sign the wall and we're presenting him with his T shirt. He's gonna give us a quick testimonial for ground school and what he used. So here is Brian's shirt. Thanks for coming up today. I first met Brian at Helley Expo a couple years ago. One of the first ground school members I got out and met after four years of being behind the computer and making videos. Brian was one of the first ones I met. So that was really cool when I first met him down there. So if you want, just give us, give anybody that's interested in, you know, easing the overwhelm of getting ready for a checkride. How did you use ground school? Just quick version of how it helped you kind of prepare for the test.
So I stumbled upon helicopter online ground school about two years ago now, maybe two and a half. And I was the kind of learner that could, could be in the books all the time and I'd get to the end of the page and not remember what I just read. I realized I'm more of a visual learner. And I decided to purchase Kenny's commercial ground school course. And with the PowerPoints and the in cockpit footage, the out of cockpit footage, all the explanations was an excellent supplement for what I was reading in those books. And after a four hour oral interview, the examiner told me I was above average. And he even offered to write me a letter of recommendation when it came time to apply for jobs at the end of my checkride. So it helped me out tremendously. And I cannot thank Kenny and star of the show, Gary Cleveland for all the help that I've had from them.

So he took his checkride with the guy I did my private and commercial with all those years ago. I just learned that when he came in, we were talking about him like, oh my God, you took a check ride with Jerry Ventrella, A legend in the helicopter industry. He's given like 3,000 helicopter check rides. Vietnam pilot, super neat guy. And when I found out he had his checker out of Jerry like I did all those years ago, it's pretty cool.
