This is a practical, instructional helicopter flying clip (Enstrom F-28 F) in which the speaker demonstrates pre-flight walk-around checks, emphasizes the importance of fuel caps and landing gear inspection, and previews in-flight maneuvers including smooth cyclic control, hovering over a point, emergency landing considerations, and a running landing demonstration. The tone is informal and tutorial; safety cautions are repeated.

All right. We did the pre flight in the hangar. It depends on what kind of helicopter you're flying. You're going to have a checklist for that specific unique aircraft. The last minute walk around is really huge. So you're looking at everything. You're looking at the make sure your fuel caps are back on. Look at the landing gear. And there we go. Gas cap. So there you go. That was not faked. That's real world. That's why you do the walk around. We're gonna climb in, go fly, show you some of the maneuvers, show you the hovering, give you an idea of what it's all about. So let's go have some fun. Okay. To pick up the helicopter in a two step process. Number two, Learning a smooth control input on the cyclic is the. Is the toughest thing. The helicopter starts drifting to the right a little bit. We push a little bit to the left. When we do that, paracura starts to go in the opposite direction. So then we counteract back to the right. Hovering around a point. Always stand over the open areas. Always being ready for an engine failure. Looking back, remember my instructor always saying where are you going to go if the engine's going to quit 10 seconds later? Where are you going to go now? If the engine is going to quit? It's don't try this at home. I'm gonna show you a running landing. Get the aircraft to level as you can. Don't pull back on the cyclic. Ease her down nice and smoot. Here we go. I'm guessing.
