Helicopter Commercial Pilots on the H.O.G.S. Wall Of Fame

Kenny Keller (HOGS) presents the new digital HOGS Wall of Fame showcasing commercial pilots who used HOGS training and explains how members submit checkride photos and short testimonials to be featured. He outlines membership tiers (monthly, annual, Pro/Professional pilot lifetime access), the recommended training progression (private → instrument → commercial → CFI), and practical benefits of pausing/resuming monthly memberships while building flight time. He highlights course activity (Final Approach R44 courses, multiple CFI checkrides), a testimonial of a member who passed a checkride 27 years after failing, an ongoing Labor Day sale, an 11–12 year online history, a 30-day money-back guarantee in place ~11.5 years, and contact information for scheduling.

All right, going to trademark. Are we recording? Yes. So we are going to highlight the commercial pilots on the new digital HOGS Wall of Fame. Yesterday we did instrument. The day before we did private. So today we're highlighting everybody on the commercial HOGS Wall of Fame. And what we like about this is we love the old HOGS Wall of Fame with all the pictures. We hated tearing it down. It sucked, and I still kind of miss it. However, like, one of our recent FAC number, number six, Final Approach course member Steve Carlson was here and he said, you know, that HOGS wall was beautiful, but nobody could see their picture, right? Unless we took the camera around and tried to show 300 people. So now you get credit for sending us in your picture. When you get to your checkride, send us your checkride photo and a couple sentences on how HOGS helped you get through the rating. And we send you the no go button. So this is rolling through everybody that has used HOGS for a commercial pilot certificate. Many of these people, as you will see, they're up here on the private screen. They're up here on the instrument screen. Then you'll see them on the commercial screen, and then you see them again tomorrow in cfi. Because many of our members have used HOGS to get through all their training. And we're approaching 12 years online. We've been online 11 years, approaching 12 years online. And here's what we see. Our monthly memberships are very popular. So you'll see it. You'll see, let's use Caleb, for example. You'll see Caleb, you know, you come in for a little while, signs up for a monthly membership, and then you see him unsubscribe. And then they go, hey, I just unsubscribed, but I'll be back for instrument as soon as I'm ready. And then you see that member come back, they come in, do the instrument training, then they unsubscribe while they're building their pic time or whatever they're doing. And then, boom, pretty soon, here comes a new member sign up. Oh, coming back for their commercial. And then one more time for cfi. So many of the members have done that. Because the beauty is it's a small monthly membership fee. You get all access to all the training. Any time that you go, hey, I'm gonna. I'm gonna cancel or pause. You can do either one. And I'm gonna come back when I'm closer to being ready. And usually somebody takes a break in between ratings, right? Cause it's a lot of training, and you're wore out by the time you're done, and you're like, okay, whew, I'm gonna take a break and then I'm gonna work on my commercial. And a lot of people do that. We also have annual memberships, and then we have a pro lifetime where you can get all of these private commercial instruments. Cfi. We'll put all the links for all of those below. So I'll mention again, for those of you that are going the professional pilot route, you have to get the private first, then you get the instrument. Because as you're building time for your commercial, you have to have a certain amount of pilot and command time. So while you're working on the instrument rating, you're a rated private pilot. So you're in the helicopter getting additional training for an instrument rating that makes you a better pilot. And you're building pilot in command time that you're going to need for commercial pilot. And I made that mistake. I did instrument pilot after I was a CFI and had like 800 hours. Well, then I had to go back into study mode. I had to spend more money. And that's when I realized, wow, I should have spent the money in between private and commercial. Because you're making best use of your study habits, being in a routine, going to your flight school. And again, you're building that on almighty pilot in command time that you need to take this test. And then once you're done with the commercial, you go to certified flight instructor, because that's what people do. You get your CFI, start building time, and let's say 500 hours is kind of a landmark. And then a thousand hours is another landmark. 1500 hours is another landmark. 2000 is kind of the big one. That's where a lot of people make the jump to helicopter. EMS is at 2000 hours. So have we ran through the whole. We ran through everybody there, Heather. I don't remember where we started, so I'll go just a little bit farther because I can't remember where we started. Well, it kind of started from the beginning. Did it? Okay, there it is. Well, there's the beginning. HOGS Digital wall of Fame. Yeah. And we have a. I'll put all the links down below for all four memberships. You can check out each membership. Then you can choose either the monthly or the yearly option. And then there's pro pilot. So let's cover that real quick. Professional pilot saves you the hassle of paying monthly and subscribing unsubscribing or doing yearly. And then I'll another year, I need another year. If you're going off the street to CFI and you want to become a professional pilot, we designed the professional pilot so that you can get all four of the courses, one time fee, you never have to pee again, you never have to buy again. I think we'll just leave that in there. That was a legitimate accident because you're at the pee at some point. So with the pro pilot, it's a one time fee. You get all the training that way, you know, it's there for myself. It took me four years from off the street when I started taking private pilot lessons to get to certified flight instructor where I could go start working. So that's four years of train on off, on off, on off rating, take a break. So you can imagine, you know, like most people, I'd run out of money, right? So I like scrounge some more money, go train a little bit. So with professional pilot, it's a one time fee, you get all the training, never expires. So if it takes you six months, four years, six years. You know, we had somebody on a private pilot failed his checkride 27 years ago and he used hogs to freshen up his knowledge, went to a flight school, got current in the helicopter again and walked in with the pink slip 27 years after his failure went in. Examiner said the guy did a phenomenal job. Ground knowledge was good with hogs. His flight instructor did a good job getting him comfortable in the aircraft and he took the checkride 27 years later. So proof that sometimes it takes a little time. Everybody's on a different course, everybody's on a different path. That's it. Anything else I should add, Heather? This video happens to be during our Labor Day sale ending Labor Day. This is pre Labor Day. We took our discounts back to what we were charging two years ago. So we dropped them. The price way down there. Smoking hot deal on yearlies. And the pro pilot, it's very hot. All right. All those links are down, down below. Oh yeah. And then we got the final approach course. We've done six ratings this summer in the Robinson R44. That's over there. We've done private instrument. Not instrument, we've done private commercial, cfi. But CFI turns to be like the number one. I've done three already and I'm doing two in September. Both of them hogs, Professional pilot members, they're going through the videos. We do a couple zooms before they get here. Make sure, their knowledge is fresh. So CFI seems to be the flavor of the summer. But we're doing private commercial and instrument certified flight instructor checkrides. This is not an instrument trainer so we're not doing instrument training at this time. That's okay. We're happy as a VFR training facility. That's what we do. And I lost my train of thought. Where was I? Anyway? Yeah. Oh yeah. Final approach course done. 6. We got two more on the schedule and October's open September. I thought about putting that up on the screen today. September's blue, blue, blue, blue because we've got a member coming for a two and a half day course just to get some R44 time. And then we've got a member coming for CFI add on. And then we've got 100 hour and then we have Dave Faulkner coming from California, longtime HOGS member, friend of mine. We're going to go out and do some advanced stuff on the R44. And then Todd Ketterman who was here a couple months ago for his private coming back for his CFI. So September is solid and we're sneaking 100 hour inspection in there. October is wide open book now. 574-767-1797. Heather can take care of you. All the links are down below for all the memberships and oh yeah, 30 day money back, no hassle guarantee. Been in place for 11 and a half years. Pretty good deal. Burden is on us to provide you the value. Okay, come back tomorrow. If you, if you want to see yourself on the wall as a certified flight instructor or if you want to get on the wall for certified flight instructor, jump into HOGS now. Start going through the training. Let us know how we can help you. That's all I got. Peace out. Live to fly another day. Helicopterground.com.
